Getting back into shape for your Athens wedding can be extremely rewarding. It can help you to exude confidence and radiate beauty on your wedding day. A choice that you can carry into your marriage. Here are some ways to get into a healthier fitness mindset:

  1. Believe in Yourself: Don’t have a defeatist attitude. Be confident and set goals that are challenging yet realistic.

2. Out with The Old, In with The New: Get rid of all of the food that is too tempting and enables bad choices. Think of your health like this: 80% what you eat, 20% exercise. Eating healthy is a MAJOR key to getting the body you want. Also, remember to drink half your body weight in water (FL Oz).

3. Find Motivation: Find a way to stay motivated on your own. Having workout buddies is great, but when they don’t come through, you have to be intrinsically motivated. What motivates you as an individual?  Keep those things and never let them go.

4. Have Fun: Find out what you like to do and then do that. If you’re unsure of what that may be, try a few things and see what you like best. Remember to challenge yourself, because that is how you make progress. Another thing to consider is that the things you dread doing are probably what would be really good for your body. For example: If you hate cardio but love weights, you will gravitate to strength training and do as little cardio as you can. But, cardiovascular endurance is really important and is probably a weak area for you. Do something that will interest you but also don’t neglect your weaknesses. Your weaknesses need love too. When you strengthen your weaknesses you have more improvement and are healthier and more well rounded.

Believe in yourself, start anew, find lasting motivation, and have fun, are principles that you can carry into every aspect of your life. So often, as women, we buy into negative body image. We tell ourselves that we are not good enough and that “she” looks better or is more worthy of what life has to offer. Shut out the haters and have confidence.
