Looking at customer reviews is also a great way to gain perspective on their past clients’ experiences and gives you a peek at what it would be like to work with them!

Ensure compatibility.

Making sure you are personally compatible with your wedding planner makes a significant difference when it comes to communication. After all, you’ll be making decisions together and talking with them fairly often, so you want to make sure they are someone you actually want to work with! Be selective when interviewing. 

It’s your day and the goal is to have it go off without a hitch! Take the time to find the right wedding planner for you by coming prepared with a set of questions. Have an idea of the things you want to talk about in regards to your wedding ideas and other personal questions that can help you get a feel for the type of person you’ll be working with. Ask them why they got into the wedding planning business or if they’ve ever worked in your venue before; ask them about their previous experience and pricing options. 

Most importantly, ask yourself if you felt heard in the conversation and if you feel as though they understood your vision. If you have any doubts from the start, it’s best to get them out in the open in order to make the best decisions for yourself.
