Looking and feeling your best is one of the most important factors to keeping you happy and relaxed on your wedding day. Therefore, it is important to choose a hair and makeup style that you are comfortable and confident in. No need to stress about finding a look any longer…Here are three of my favorite makeup looks and hairstyles to choose from for your special day!

  1. Gold and Shimmery

This look works great if you are planning to wear gold jewelry at your wedding, or if you just love a pop of sparkle. Gold eyeshadow goes well with a soft glam look and nude lip, or with a more intense look including dark wings and fake eyelashes. Even adding some gold highlighter on your cheek and collar bones will make you shine for the best wedding pictures!

2. Smokey Eye with Liner

A classic smokey eye with black eyeliner is a perfect elegant look to wear on your wedding day. You can use dark colors such as gray and black, or go with a more natural brown smokey eye depending on your style–you really can’t go wrong! I have found this look paired with a pink lip and sleek brow creates a more polished look that pops.

3. Bold Red Lip

This style is perfect for all the red lipstick lovers. A soft and glowy face paired with a bold red lip is a great way to make a statement and stand out on your wedding day. The new trend of feathered brows and a thin eyeliner wing also pulls this look together perfectly.

4. Floral Updo

This is one of the best hairstyles to wear on your wedding day, especially if you have an outdoor venue and want your hair out of the way. You can include as much detail as you want from the number/size of braids to the placement and type of flowers. My favorite to use are tiny white flowers since they don’t distract from the braid details as much, but still accentuate the look. The loose braids and curled front pieces soften the hairstyle for a very flattering look.

5. Half-up, Half-Down

The half-up, half-down look has been one of my favorite hairstyles for a while now. This style is flattering on everyone, including people with short hair. It looks best to do this with loose curls or waves for a dainty look. You can add hair accessories, small braids, and/or flowers to this look and show off your unique style as well!

6. Loose Fishtail

This hairstyle is perfect for people with long, thick hair. It is a more natural and soft look that keeps your hair back and reveals more of your face. You could add small flowers to this look as well, but personally I love the simpler look without any accessories. For a more tousled look you can curl your hair before doing the fishtails. This hairstyle compliments the smokey eye makeup look if you are trying to pair together a style!
