  • Keep those fabulous old movies from the Golden Age of Hollywood coming, many of them were true masterpieces like The Hunchback of Notre Dame 1939, along with many others! 1939 was a banner year with great award winning films! Younger people need to realize this really wasn’t that long ago and it was quite modern back then! Note those modern chrome chairs by the pool and those sexy backless evening gowns or ones with spaghetti straps or one shouldered gowns! Dolly Tree, a British costume designer was the first to create those sexy modern gowns and influenced me to become a professional fashion illustrator in the late 1960s and 70s in NYC! My late parents were married in 1939 and the home movies of their wedding showed the big old cars. My late father was tall dark and handsome and had movie star looks and wore an all white suit on his wedding day. Mom looked beautiful and all her bridesmaids wore turquoise gowns, with big picture hats! The color turquoise was all the rage back then even into the 1950s with pink kitchens and pink appliances! Thanks for showing this fun movie..so enjoyable! Will check out all the cast members!

  • 🍕🎖️Let’s all give Pizza Fix a hoo .. ray !! … time to join something that requires money. Cheers Australia. On a Saturday Night in Charlotte Amalie, I became “effectively plastered” on a wonderful 2019 Chateau Chris red wine and enjoyed this classic. Love the characters, the acting, the train, the clarity of the projection and the whole show. Had no idea where the plot was going but I remember the name of the show. It has a lasting reputation in comedy.

  • Laid on the whole renaissance man profile a bit thickly, but the exaggeration served it’s purpose. Her contrasting performance arc from huffy and indignant to besotted with love was wonderful. This was deemed by critics to fall into a sub-category of screwball they dubbed ‘romantic comedy’. The new Production Code spurred the creation of innuendo safe comedies. We’ve loved waiting chastely for that kiss ever since. A BRIDE FOR HENRY Director: William Nigh Screenplay: Josephine Bentham starring: Anne Nagel, Warren Hall, Henry Mollison, Claudia Dell

I know that I need you. I believe that you died on the cross for me. Forgive me of my sins. I open the door of my heart and life to you. I receive you as my Saviour, come into my life and save me. Thank you for what you did on the cross for me. “Amen.”
