  • My boyfriend betrayed me after 7 years and dumped me overnight before revealing to all our friends that he met someone else and is going to marry her. People were congratulating me bc they thought we were getting married. He embarrassed me in front of everyone and even though I was hurt, I promised myself he wouldn’t hurt me bc he was dead to me. I just pretended like he died. He tried to contact me a year later and I never responded. His brother (who was just as shocked as I was) told me that his new wife had been cheating on him and he regrets leaving me. I just laughed and blocked his number.

  • I remember this story. He’s not only a coward. I think he hates her and got off humiliating her that day. The fact he told his side if the family there was no wedding but couldn’t even text her a message? He’s the type who will have his wife killed rather than admit he lost his job or want a divorce.

  • I understand her panic when she kept calling him. My husband was an hour late from sleeping in. I honestly thought he wasn’t going to come. I had his two kids for flower girl and ring guy. I was trying to act normal. He showed up and we lived happily for 30yrs until his heart attack and death. He never could remember dates and was always late but he still put his family on top of his list. I feel so sad for this girl and her family, friends who supported her.

  • I spent eight years with a guy who ultimately cheated. He promised me marriage to string me along and i was so mentally unhealthy back then i couldn’t see it. I was scared of having to start over. 11 years later, I’m happily married with a son and step kid. Things are going well for us. Never be afraid to start over.

  • My emotionally abusive ex-fiancé threatened multiple times that he would not show up at the altar over multiple, simple things (including the fact that my mother paid for my wedding dress). After I ended the engagement, he begged me to stay and told me all of the crap of how we can have “the wedding of my dreams” if I stayed. I was done.

  • This happened to my daughter in that she consistently chose guys that were narcissistic and verbal abusers. (Almost got to the wedding having got the dress, venue and photographer all lined up, but thank God, she.at least had the insight and courage to cancel. She wasted years on these relationships until this past year when a wonderful man walked into her life and she has learned what love and respect really looks like. It’s so scary as a mom to watch your precious child heading in the wrong direction. I can’t imagine this mom’s anguish over perusal her daughter settle for a liar that is fiscally irresponsible and most likely a sociopath.

  • Anyone else here relieved that they don’t have any child together? Also, for him to let her think that it is also her fault what happened…?!😵 I hope she continues with counseling because she still acting like a drug addict in recovering with danger of going back to what harms her. And I hope she sees what a great mom and friends she has.

  • I can’t believe that someone would lead their fiance on so bad, right up to the last minute like that. That is horrible. He should have told her the truth, and not let all those guests travel there, for the wedding, and not let her spend 20,000 dollars on a wedding that wasn’t even happening. Edit: Then he hid at his house while saying he was stranded next to the road with car troubles. So one of her bridesmaids almost got killed in an accident while out looking for his cowardly ass. There is really no coming back from that.

  • Dr. Phil gets a lot of criticism- sometimes from me as well. But, I honestly think he gives some of the most balanced advice – more so than most therapists or psychologists. He clearly addresses the individual’s behavioral history to indicate the likelihood of future behavior. Look how he encouraged this young woman at the end of the program- helping her see how she was worth so much more than what she had endured for the past ten years.

  • Her response was good. ♥️ Sometimes in our twenties we think the world is over if we don’t find the right relationship with the right back story of the love we share. We’re high school or college sweethearts, etc.. baby those stories and those years that are filled with tears and no future are not worth the retelling unless it’s connected to a lesson. 😘💋 Sending love to all of the women in their twenties trying to figure it out.

  • I feel so bad for her. Ten years is so long, especially the years spent together – they’re critical years in a person’s development. And they were best friends for years before that. I totally can empathize with that – I grew up with my husband and we didn’t date until after we graduated high school, but we were such good friends/best friends years before that! If he had done something like this, I’d absolutely see myself in the same place as this woman. I mean, his whole family has become my family, and mine his PLUS our families are great friends – we do every holiday as one big family and live in the same community (someone’s reading this going “that’s my NIGHTMARE” hahahah). Leaving would mean losing all of that. BUT he’s not a lying narcissist who lead me on for ages while pretending things were fine – and paid for the wedding in addition to showing up lol I hope this woman is with someone who deserves her. I hope she sees what her loved ones see – they truly care for her and only want what’s best and are trying to get her to see that when she’s blinded by love and history together (understandably). That’s why Dr Phil’s advice of dating someone else first and looking back on their history is an excellent idea. This woman is so beautiful and will have no trouble finding a devoted man that adores her, as soon as she can move on with time and therapy and realizing she is worthy.

  • Wow I’ve not noticed enough individuals really call out the fact her friend was T-boned while trying to help her find this man who dumped her and lied to her! That friend could’ve lost her life! Or been seriously injured!! I think Dr. Phil should have focused on that important information, and not glossed over it the way he did…so sad 😞

  • This literally hurt my soul to watch. I was involved with a lady whom I met with kids, raised them up, and battled with the ghost of their deceased father. I dealt with a lot of disrespect; not from the kids but from their mother. Now that they are all grown now they don’t need me. I stayed in a relationship with this woman who treated me like an option and not a priority. Yes, I should have left the relationship a very long time ago but I stayed because I was afraid of being alone. 18 and a half years of my life were wasted and she found a way to create an argument and used that as her excuse to leave after mounting up bills that she and her kids benefitted from. I’m ready to be a Faithful Husband…A loving and affectionate one at that. I love family and want to build a beautiful life one day with that Special Person. I am from The Bahamas and the dating pool here is filled with Piss. 🤣 Getting involved with a lady like this on this episode will be really trying because she has to get this Jerk out of her System for Good or you would not get 100% of her.

  • I never even thought my hubby wouldn’t show up for our wedding! Just didn’t enter my mind! 57 years later I am thankful he stayed! Still my boyfriend, and still my lover! We were each other’s first in almost everything! I was 18…he was 19! We only dated six months, but I knew he was the one! I would gladly do it again!

  • I’m bawling right now… and it has nothing to do with any empathy towards this story or woman, but because it’s just solidifying after an extremely horrible relationship of my own, just how ugly people can be and how little you truly know someone no matter how long you’re with them. After 3 kids and only being 34 years old, I’ve already written off the thought of being in relationship because I’ve heard and seen and experienced so much ugliness that I’m actually TERRIFIED to ever date again. Truly spinelessly terrified of ugly people and being so naive that I’ll just keep falling into every trap because I have a deep heart. So my advice to this chick, is run for the hills! AND DO YOU ONLY! (And our children of course!)

  • I understand after all the years they spent together it’s hard to just turn your emotions off, like a faucet & decide overnight you no longer love someone; however, in this case….it should have been easy. When she found out the venue was cancelled 2 months ago by him, that should have made her wake up. I say she was saved by a possibly miserable life & shaky marriage with this man.

  • No man worth having will leave you wondering where he stands. You’ll look beside you, and he’ll be there… physically, emotionally, spiritually, financially, & otherwise. The right man will be there through everything. Not over the phone. If it’s a struggle Sis, girl…he ain’t the one. Keep Steppin.

  • Wow her bridesmaid that had the car accident is absolutely stunning! What a beautiful girl! She’s just about as pretty as it’s possible to be! Actually, all women on the stage, bride, mother and maid of honour are all beautiful ladies. Such a sad sad thing to happen to her, and no bloody excuse for what he did. If he didn’t want to get married that’s one thing, even if he woke up that morning, put his suit on and suddenly got cold feet and couldn’t go through with it, is another thing. That would still be bad, but not intentional. Cold feet is one thing, cold heart is another! There’s zero excuse for doing that to her…none whatsoever! He’d have a f***ing nervous breakdown if he did that to me cos I’d make sure of it! It was intentionally cruel, he had no intention of paying those bounced payments. It wasn’t just a cashflow situation, he had months to get a loan, borrow from parents, sell stuff, work overtime, figure out a way to cut costs, book a smaller venue, invite fewer people, opt for a finger buffet instead of full catering, order a nice sparkling wine instead of champagne for toasts…clever cutbacks could have literally made up for the whole amount he failed to pay! You can get friends and family involved – explain the cashflow issue and ask if they can think of ways to help, such as loaning a nice car instead of hiring one, making invitations instead of ordering them, offering a large garden as a venue, using their staff discounts if they work in retail to purchase things on your behalf, helping make decor for the reception.

  • One of the conditions should be for him to pay the tickets and expenses of every guest who travelled from somewhere . Plus pay the psychological damages and pain caused to your family and friends. Last condition is fir him to pay every cent of the wedding upfront. I know for sure he won’t be able to afford and it should be over.

  • I can understand how hard this is for her. Right after this happened she REALLY needed her best friend..but since he WAS her best friend it had to be so much harder. I’ve been there. It’s EXTREMELY painful when you have to try to handle that pain by yourself. But she’s still very young and has time to “regroup” and rebuild her life. If God intends for to marry and have children, real love will find her when she least expects it. 💔😢🙏✝️

  • Never pays to be a long term gf. Ten years before she’s eligible to be his wife??? I refuse to be anyone’s permanent gf smdh The fact that she’s willing to give him another chance, when her bridesmaid almost DIED, going to find him on the wedding day from a lie he told…If I was that bridesmaid and friend she would be cut off from my life if she was still talking to him

  • This girl is needlessly desperate. It would be best if she stopped communicating with him at all. If she does get back with him marry him, she will most likely have a life of misery. For her sake, I hope she takes time to heal, to center herself, to NEVER go back to him & (this is important) steer clear of any guy who is similar to him. Many people will choose the same person in a different body, then, have the same result. Over & over.

  • She was more concerned about impressing everyone with her lavish, big wedding and being a wife, in her words, having a perfect life all planned out, who you marry and why is the most important part, so young and focused on the wrong aspects, to think you have every detail of life sorted out and that’ll be perfect is insane!! You have to allow for life to happen, ups and downs, no wonder she missed the signs, too caught up with crystals and people coming from all over, flex flex flex, I’m sure she’s ok but she sounds very controlling and he had no guts to tell her it wasn’t going to happen

  • She needed to know, needed to talk to him… I totally understand that. He was the biggest part of her life for most of her young life. Of course she had to follow up. It would be non human nature for her to have the capacity to just forget about all those years with another person/ her best friend, regardless of who it is.

  • what a genuinely delightful young woman! you can’t make your heart Stop loving someone. But, you can let your brain lead your heart to that place of healing. Sweet Sasha’s mom seems more interested in Her “pain, embarrassment and etc.” good luck Sweet Sasha! i hope one of your friends will stand by you without all of the finger pointing and demanding that you do what They want. ☮️ be with you. ~k~

  • I will point out one plot flaw…I help do weddings on a grand scale at historic venues. There is no way that a bride would not touch base with the venue! The coordinator calls you (sometimes incessantly). They want to know what color this and where to put that…usually brides have all the little touches done by themselves, friends or pros…like who is going to scatter those rose petals just so, who will put those crystals on. She was at the venue the Sat before? They would have said something…it’s a booking issue in a business, not personal. She says he was to handle venue; still, when you went to go look at linens or whatever, some coordinator would ask what’s up. Anyway, she is a beautiful girl and certainly deserves better…

  • Was duped by a guy for almost 15yrs. He married someone else, his marriage lasted for 5 years. I married 2 years after his divorce. I have been married to a great guy as of today for 9 years 🥳! I was told that he has been searching for me🤦‍♀️🤣🤣🤣When a person shows you who they are,(Believe Them!!!!)

  • This man has poor communication skills. He can’t be trusted. If he didn’t have the finance to go thru it, then they could of postponed the Wedding until all was paid for… Or call it off. She really needs the Closure from him and gotta move on without him… She is in love with him and no telling what smooth lines he’s saying…

  • I just started this but hearing that they have only been with each other since 18… I can already guess what happened in his head… the couples I know that have been high school sweethearts the guys always feel like they have been trapped, they haven’t experienced much they want to explore before they are with one person forever. Enjoy life don’t tie yourself down when you are just a kid….. experience things then commit.

  • If she had a gofundme, I’d go fund that shit and hope she becomes 600000x more successful than that puny mouse of a man. But once I heard she’s talking to him again… ugh idk they’ve known each other for 10 years. Talk to him to get an explanation and then that’s it. Save yourself the heartache and block his number from your phone, delete all your cute messages, just don’t babygirls. I still think of the 4 years I feel like I wasted of my ex. I still think of getting back with him but I always think and know there’s someone better out there. Just don’t do it. I’d disown you too😭 if you were actin that foolish

  • He may be her best friend but he also is an immature, selfish, self-centered, loser who lacks empathy and could care less about his “best friend’s” feelings. I can’t believe what he put her through and I can’t believe she would even consider overlooking that and taking him back. She should take great pleasure in kicking his sorry backside to the curb and finding a man who is a real man, not a scared little boy who cannot endure the thought of commitment.

  • What a HORRIBLE man this groom is to allow this woman (who is supposedly the love of his life….his childhood sweetheart and her only love…..his BEST FRIEND) to spend 20 grand on their wedding and invest so much time and money and emotion into planning this day….and then he literally leaves her at the altar on their wedding day with NO explanation, NO apology, nothing. He was such a selfish coward that he couldn’t even bother to give her an explanation in person. He just POOF….vanished. And what shocks me MORE is..she still loves this brat. She is still willing to consider forgiving him for what he did and marrying him and entrusting her heart to him after the pain and humiliation he inflicted on her that day. She is LITERALLY considering choosing him over all her family and friends who WERE there for her that day….EVEN if it means her that everyone she loves disowns her for it. That DOES NOT sound like a best friend or a loving fiance to me. He cost her her happy ending. He cost her 10 yrs of her life. He nearly cost her her friend’s life because his lie compelled the bridesmaid to go looking for him and she was nearly killed in a car wreck. It sounds like he is someone who is very cruel and manipulative and perfidious and vile….and frankly, my dear, you are a gorgeous, intelligent, classy lady and you deserve FAR better than this trash. AND NOTICE when Dr. Phil invited this brat to participate in this episode and have even a SLIM chance of either reconciling with his former fiance or at least giving her and her family some closure and peace.

  • This will never work. Stop investing time in him. You guys can not communicate and face the honest truth and have the hard conversations. He treated you like crap. Not the deciding not to marry you but the way he let you fall on your face in front of everyone. My 18 yr plus marriage is solid because we sit and have the balls to be vulnerable and tell each other exactly what we need or what needs to change. Her future is worrisome

  • What breaks my heart is that she’s such a beautiful woman, an intelligent woman, and she deserves so much better, I think that he’s all she knows, I believe that this is an abusive relationship because once they know that they can get away with he will continue to disrespect her. I hope that she listens to the people who love her and finds someone worthy of her.

  • Damn I feel like someone went told Dr Phil my story in a way I’m glad my blindfold was lifted but everything he says is spot on. My ex and I were together for 10 years, he proposed to me never was involved in any of the planning, didn’t care for any detail. He didn’t leave me in the altar but left me I chose to still go back because I was still in love with who HE WAS 10 years ago not the person in front of me. That man never really wanted to marry me. He very much justbpostponed my happiness for his selfishness and had no consideration of my feelings ever. I’m at fault too for returning thinking he can change. Hopefully she is in a better place now and knows everything happens for a reason

  • I don’t even have a compass to follow anymore with dating. I don’t know what it takes to find that special person. I think we do more grieving for what we hope for, and for her to continue in that situation will only leave her with no heart because it will become so toxic from the mind games from not allowing him to insult her intelligence anymore.

  • In this situation you listen to the world not your heart if she takes him back she is stupid plain and simple if he was her best friend and he wanted to marry her and if he had loved her like he said he would have never ever did her that way ever he needs professional help and I’m not even sure that will help him I agree with Dr phil on this 100% theirs someone out their for her this guy isn’t it

  • It’s a odd thing I being in a super long relationship with someone and them never proposed. I heard a great quote one day I think Candace Owen’s Said it ..men keep women in relationships for ten years and women age but men age like fine wine ND after you give them your best years they leave ..I’ve been in a relationship for 12 years .with no signs of Nything changing..so who knows

  • I would like to know the real details of their relationship. For all we know maybe he had a reason and isn’t as innocent as she comes off . There are 3 sides to a story . The two ppl involved and the truth .. I don’t judge until I get all the facts .she is way to secretive and 40.mins after know nothing other then he didn’t show up and left

  • I had two men waste about 20 years of my life, it’s VERY hard to wrap one’s head around, and later down the line the anger hurts very bad. I really feel for her, but she has an amazing support system and is beautiful and intelligent, she’ll find the right one like I did, and it will make so much sense and she will be VERY happy and healthy.

  • IF he cared and loved her in a real way like she’s saying he does and he’s saying he does .. & I mean IF- Then he would be there on that show apologizing manning up owning what he did fighting for her mending these relationships w her friends and family admiring his wrongs and facing the world he’d be on his knees begging for her hand in front of the world and on that show !!!! But WHERE IS HE!????!! that’s the final straw ! The fact he’s not there by her side telling her people they are back together and having those hard conversations together no he makes her do it alone after already leaving her ALONE AT THE ALTER HONEY YOU ARE STUNNING DROO THIS BAGGAGE AND WIOE THISE TEARS AND MOVE ON IM SORRY FOR YOUR OIN BUT COUNT YOUR BLESSING AND THANK YOUR KUCKY STARS THAT YOU ARE NOT MARRIED TO THAT ASSH*LE AND ALLOW SOME deserving man to have a true princess you have your whole life ahead of you WIPE THOSE TEARS AND CUT HIM LOOSE SWEETIE YOU GOT AMAZING PPL AROUND YOU A WONDERFUL SUPPORT SYSTEM YOU CAN DO THIS

  • I controlled my entire Wedding & Reception most women do!!!! I would have double checked EVERYTHING I’m just that type of person. Heck even the Honeymoon (he paid, but I did everything else). Also, we purchased a brand new house at the same time. Yep, I controlled that too picked out the neighborhood, house, etc., etc.,!!!!

  • This takes “cold feet” to a whole new level. I feel bad for her and she didn’t deserve this. However, it is painfully evident that this guy did not love her at all. She is better off now. It hurts to be dumped. Yet it would have hurt more to be married to a man that does not love her. He would have been unfaithful. Now she is free to find a man who will really love her. There is always someone out there who will love us and it’s not hard to see it. When a man really loves a woman, she cannot run him off. His love and attachment to her would be so strong that she would never have to wonder about it. Being stressed out about a person that you are involved with is such a dead giveaway that they do not love you. It’s a physical feeling. You can feel it in your solar plexus (gut). Always pay attention to your body and what it is telling you. A person that loves you will make you feel comfortable. You will feel secure that they are not going anywhere.

  • She was so into the wedding planning she didn’t see the signs. She didn’t even seem to care one of her bridesmaids was in traction. Ladies, please do not fixate on the perfect wedding. Focus on the actual marriage. I think potential brides and grooms should sign a financial contract saying unless there is a good reason whomever cancels the wedding is financially responsible for everything.

  • The man didn’t have even the nerve to appear and defend himself, let alone break up with her. I can’t believe this beautiful, intelligent woman is wasting any breath over this fool. I think Dr. Phil is absolutely right, and he has the emotional capacity of an 11 year old. I hope she finds someone so worthy of her and so, so kind and dedicated. I hope she finds someone to SO HAPPILY spend her life with.

  • I agree with Dr Phil. This beautiful young lady has never experienced love and respect from any man. She probably does not tuink that she could love again the way she loved Mr Runaway. But that is about her own feelings. I wish I could post a drawing I saw on Facebook a few years ago. A woman carrying a heavy load on her head, with a strapped baby on her chest, holding the hands of two of her children, and carrying her husband on her back. This would likely be the future of Sacha if she married her ex-fiancee. I think I would caption that picture “A MAN WHO HAS NO EMPATHY.”

  • I would have to be done dealing with her especially the friend that got in an accident Still loving him is ok its normal and shows the love was real and real love does not fade overnight which is why she needs grief therapy and shut him all the way out of her life and honestly the only contact she should have with him is in court to repay the money she lost He knew at least 6mths before that he did not want to marry her he was just to coward to tell her and no one can be blamed but him but I will say the venue should have just told her the truth instead of being in the middle perusal him play with her I believe there was another woman involved and he did not know which one he really wanted She was a fool to take his lying manipulative ssa back

  • What her ex fiance did to her, shows me he is a CON MAN ON AN EXTREMELY HIGH LEVEL! Until he pays her back, her $20k that she spent, i would not speak to him!! Hes no different than the CATFISH cases, Dr. Phil has on his show! Her ex is a con artist! And he’s conning her now, trying to get her to come back to him! Hes willing to SAY and DO, whatever he has to, to get her back, so he can con her some more!!! Her ex is a user!!!! Dr. Phil is soooooo Right! She needs to meet and date different men!!! Her ex is just a con man! At least she found out now, instead of investing another 10 or 15 years of her life!!! With another man, she will at least have a chance at a normal relationship! What her Ex gave her, was FAKE & Make believe!!!
