The plot is still unclear as the credits roll. Daddy Amano says he’s letting the kids choose, but he’s really controlling them. And Sosuke is still missing. Erika saw Nagi and Sachi’s childhood photo. Who leaves these things around? The show knew it wouldn’t answer these questions in two episodes. I wish they’d blended these episodes better if they were going to air them as an extra-long event. Their story still mostly satisfies. It still looks chunky, except for a few good drawings of Erika in the last episode. But that and the odd pacing don’t bother me as much as when I took this assignment. I’ve grown to like these kids. I’ll see if another season answers my questions, but for now, I’m fine with the idea that the real family was the one we found.
