I suggest the bride gets dressed in the living room because it provides space and light. If you have a room with lots of natural light, make sure it’s clean on the morning of the wedding. Ask your bridesmaids to put their bags in another room. Ask the hair and makeup team to use another room with window light. Keep that room clear and clean until it’s time to get dressed. A messy room won’t look good in photos. If your room has lots of furniture and not much space, clear it before the wedding. This will save time on the wedding day. You might have a better-lit bedroom than the living room. If it’s a small room, remove some furniture, especially the bed. A small bedroom makes it hard to get a good full-length shot of the bride getting ready. Photos usually end up with the bed in them, blocking the bottom of the gown. Choose a neutral-colored room with few pictures on the walls. Also, dressers are often cluttered with perfume, deodorant, and other items. Clear them off the day before. (Do you see a pattern?) Many couples use a friend or family member’s house to get ready in. People are happy to lend you their home to use the morning of the wedding. It makes them feel involved. If you don’t know anyone near the venue, you can rent a house. Some couples have rented houses for this. They are clean and ready for you!
2. Another great option is the bridal suite at the venue. The location is important. Most weddings are at the venue, so if you’re getting ready there too, you can save time and money! (Double whammy!) I’ve seen good and bad bridal suites, so don’t use your venue’s just because it has one! Check it out to see if you can fit everyone in. Make sure it’s well lit and looks good in pictures. Most are great, but a few are dark. If you use the bridal suite, make sure the bridesmaids keep their things to one side of the room and the bed is made, dishes are cleared, and it looks good when the photographer arrives. 🙂

My lawyer would have been on the phone the second they started that mess even if I did work for the police. I would have also made sure everyone knew about this treatment via media if I had to. No one deserves to be treated like this. I think I have only waited 20 minutes, any longer and I would leave depending on how crowded the restaurant is and what the meal is.
I love the suspense, they thought they were going to get away with abuse but they met their match, the couple got a bit irritated but in the end they won. I commend this couple on how they handled this situation. I wouldn’t have waited that long reservation or not especially on my anniversary. Secondly, I don’t tolerate racism or mistreatment, so I would definitely not eat somewhere I am not wanted. Case in point what the waiter did to their food. I would have recorded everything & sued the hell out of them! Spitting in someone’s food is atrocious!!
The lovely Afro-American were having anniversary meal when the rude racist waiter took away their food, before it touched the mouth!! Manager apologized for Derek’s rudeness but it was half-hearted attempt to do so, showing more racism and inequality!!! Tables will be turned(forgive the pun), the HR team and karma will deal the racist duo a sharp deal in humility, when the article of the spittle would reveal everything!!! Thats why my husband and i very rarely eat at restaurants because we are black and i dont want any issues. Seen too many real horror stories on media regarding this. I dont want white people surprise by seeing us if we eat at their restaurant so i try to avoid it. Dont want to experience the stares and if you not a minority you dont know what im talking about. And if i do eat at a restaurant i research first if black people like myself or minorities attend the restaurant regularly just to be safe. That is the same with traveling. I alawys order online and pick up my meal. Unfortunately i know that this is a fictional story but it is a living reality for most minorities. Now I’m getting wary, It’s not as though I can’t afford fine dining because I can afford the best but I don’t know what goes on back in the kitchen and I’d rather use my money for other things and besides that, I can cook also if I feel up to it. When I was in college back in the day, I worked as a dishwasher at a 5 star restaurant and I saw a Chateaubriand slip off a plate onto the floor and the chef just wiped it off, finished putting the garnish on the plate, lit a cotton ball soaked in lemon juice and the server carried it out to the customers who were none the wiser.
In 2009-10 we waited 1.5 hours in a restaurant in Parkersburg, West Virginia we was there on business working so me and a Co- Worker stopped and dined in she was a white woman and me being a Blackman the waiter looked at us several times and passed us by. We had to call a manager over and we told him that we have been waiting for waiter to take our order, but the manager give us the food for free.
