The top benefits of the Retrouvaille Program are: Improved communication; learned more about my spouse; learned more about myself; grew closer together; improved conflict management; improved relationship with faith. There are many reasons couples choose to participate in the Retrouvaille Program. Some common reasons for couples to participate are listed below. What happens at a Marriage Encounter?

What happens at a Worldwide Marriage Encounter Weekend? A team of Catholic couples and a priest give presentations. Each presentation helps you understand yourself and your relationships. Finally, you look at your relationship with God, the Church, and the world. Married couples view these relationships in terms of their vocation, but the principles apply to the priesthood and religious life as well. The atmosphere is relaxed. Most people don’t know the others there. What is this dialogue about?

Marriage partners talk about new communication skills they learned at the weekend. A priest can arrange informal, comfortable dialogues with another priest during the weekend. Make the Encounter weekend with a priest friend. If this isn’t possible, you can talk to another priest who is making the weekend or the priest on the ministry team.

What is the purpose of marriage committee?

This is one of the most important organs in the Church and society. Marriage is the foundation of every family and society. If our marriages are based on biblical principles, our society would be like Heaven on earth. The committee helps young people planning to get married. It gives them advice and support. God made marriage in Genesis 2:18. It’s not good for people to be alone. The Marriage Committee was created to ensure that all things concerning marriage among brethren are done in purity and holiness. Heb. 13:4 says, “Marriage should be honored and the marriage bed kept pure. God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.” Before a man will think of marriage, the committee will consider the following: ETCAge is important because marriage is for men. If people aren’t spiritual mature in marriage, they have immoral and unholy relationships. Financial maturity means that the man who wants to marry will be able to take care of his family by meeting his financial responsibilities. The community monitors every marriage proposal from the beginning to the end, including the dowry payment, traditional marriage, and church wedding. To be a community wedding, the couple must follow the community marriage guidelines. We also help plan weddings. We counsel and pray for couples and help settle disputes between couples. We meet every second and last Thursday of the month. At 8:00 a.m. at the Amen Community (Band Stand). LONGINUS AZUMAChairman: 08037177810 CY DARAONYEKASecretary: 0808172250.

What are the 4 parts of a marriage meeting?

Meetings should be divided into four parts: appreciation, chores, problems, and fun. Do you meet with your partner often to discuss your relationship or family? Do you have the same goals? Do you both know what needs to be done each week to be successful?

Call it a family meeting or a marriage meeting. Just do it! Successful partnerships depend on good communication. Don’t say it sounds good, but if you and your partner ran a business together, you’d meet at least once a week.

How many days is a Catholic retreat?

Sometimes a retreat is private, where Christians pray, read the Bible, and read spiritual books alone. Sometimes, a retreat is guided by a spiritual director. Group retreats are common. People gather in a beautiful, quiet place and are guided in prayer and reflection by a retreat master. Retreats can be short or long. The Ignatian Spiritual Exercises usually take at least thirty days. Each person should ask God which retreat is best for them and then go on it. At Our Lady of Refuge parish, members can go on retreats. See the listings on the Retreat Center page. The parish offers two special group retreats. The parish has sponsored a men’s retreat and a women’s retreat for over 50 years. The men go on a three-day retreat each year at the Franciscan Serra Retreat House in Malibu. The women go to the Carmelites Sacred Heart Retreat House in Alhambra for three days. Some parishioners make private retreats at these locations or at other retreat centers in Southern California.
