Who runs Curvy Brides Boutique?

Jo and Al After meeting Jo and Al (owners of the bridal boutique Curves & Couture), we learned how to bring this inspiring theme to life in TV.

Making the biopic Hattie, starring Ruth Jones, for BBC Four, our company told the story of how your size shouldn’t limit feeling good about yourself in a drama. After meeting Jo and Al, we saw how to bring this theme to life in factual TV. We knew that JoandAl understood the emotional truth of what they did for the women they worked with. Angel Eye’s mission is to find emotional truth and good-hearted people and help them. But making 20 episodes from small moments in a bridal boutique is like selling a home-cooked recipe nationally. You can lose the original flavor.

  • I hope so much that the brides who participate in these shows, actually read the comments under their episodes. Brides are stunningly lovely, Jo and Al ingenious all the time (really, two angels) – but you know what? The comments under these episodes are almost always so sweet, supportive and caring that it really doubles the pleasure. I often read the comments too because they are almost equally encouraging and uplifting as the articles themselves. High five fellow commenters 🙂 May the people who let us peak into their lives read your comments and take all the love with them.

  • they definitely picked the right dresses. the lace made tanya look truly bridal and zsu’s dress just looked MADE for her. she kind of looked uncomfortable in the first one she tried on but that second one, it was like a second skin on her. in fact i’m not sure i’ve ever seen a bride choose an unflattering dress on this show like i have other wedding dress shows, jo & al always know what to put brides in.

  • As someone who struggles with psoriasis and autoimmune disorders, I can relate to Tanja and her struggles to be comfortable in her skin. I have a hard time day-to-day shopping or being in public because of my skin. I have literally had small children cry as a result of seeing my psoriasis. The struggle is real! I’m so glad that Al & Jo make every bride feel good and look amazing! I live half a world away, but would love to hang out with Al and Jo because I know there would be zero judgement! They are the best friends we all need in our lives! Bless the brides and the best bridal consultants ever! Tanja and Zsu were both beautiful!!!!

  • Don’t fret being called sir. I’m 6ft tall and wear work clothes to the hardware store. I am called sir a LOT. Long hair, fluffys, voice and face SHOULD be a clue. Clerks don’t look at the customers. 77 yrs old and “strong like ox”, so they assume. Girly girls don’t haul concrete or 5 gal. buckets of paint. ha ha ha. Take “sir” as respect to strength. I’m ok with that. ))

  • Uhhh… Correct, there is no cure for psoriasis. However, there IS a cause for psoriasis. It’s the immune system overreacting and attacking your own body. Unfortunately, I also have psoriasis. I am currently in remission without anything active, but it could flare back up. I’m on a biologic injection weekly to help keep my immune system low enough so it can’t attack my own body. But to there is no reason for psoriasis isn’t true at all. Everything has a reason, we just may not KNOW the reason. I have rare diseases docs don’t even know how to properly treat and don’t understand the cause and only have theories, but there IS a reason… It’s just unknown to everyone at this time. Hopefully more of these rare diseases will finally get much more of the research they deserve. My Psoriasis bothers me FAR LESS than my Hidradenitis Suppurativa. It’s EXTREMELY painful and embarrassing. It causes infections and cellulitis, etc. The biologic drug they have me on is hopefully going to start helping that as well. It’s auto-inflanmatory whereas Psoriasis is autoimmune. Two different things and the body doing two different types of attacks on the body, but both produce nasty effects. I’d happily keep the Psoriasis if the HS could be put into remission. 😭

  • WRONG DRESS FOR HER. I’M A REAL WOMAN AND UNDER BUST IT GAVE HER NO FLATTERING SHAPE. I’M SORRY I’M NOT A BULLY. THE DRESS MADE HER MIDDLE SECTION NOT LOVELY. I AM NOT A HEATER OR BULLY. I WATCH YOUR SHOW ALL THE TIME AND I’M A BIG FAN. IN MY OPINION THAT WASN’T HER DRESS. THE FIRST DRESS SHE PUT ON WAS SO MUCH MORE EXUISET ON HER! IT LOOKED SO LOVELY AND GLAMOURS ON HER. 🇺🇸
