You can get to the sugary sands by boat or ferry from Honeymoon Island. The ferry is on the left just inside the park entrance. There is a large parking lot at the pier for the ferries. You have to pay the park fee and the ferry fare. It’s $14 for adults and $7 for kids 6-12. Kids 5 and under are free, and there is a military discount. The walk from Clearwater Beach to Caladesi Island State Park is beautiful, but it’s not short. Before you walk from Clearwater to Caladesi Island, pack a bag with water and a snack. If you’re staying on the north side of Clearwater Beach, the walk to Caladesi Island State Park is about 2.2 miles. That’s just the entrance to Caladesi Island State Park. The entrance is only marked by a sign on the beach.
