Can Military Officers Officiate Weddings?

Non-religious and non-civil officiants, also known as celebrants, offer marriage officiant services and guidance for writing vows and planning a wedding ceremony. Military weddings can be performed by municipal/city mayors, judges, military commanders, airplane chiefs, ship captains, and consuls in Philippine embassies. The solemnizing officer, who officiates over the ceremony, must be qualified under the Family Code (Art. 7). In the Philippines, the solemnizing officer must personally appear before the ceremony. The regulation doesn’t say you can’t marry an enlisted soldier. The regulation bans any sexual contact before marriage.

What age do most military men get married?

Some decide to get married because they won’t have to live in barracks and can get paid extra for having a family.

Can an NCO marry a junior enlisted?

Officers and enlisted, or NCOs and junior enlisted, cannot date, live together, or have sexual relationships. Exception: Officers and enlisted, NCOs and junior enlisted can marry.
