  • I LOVE the information you shared in this article! As a wedding photographer, I feel like so many brides really need to know most of these things before their wedding day comes. I just had a bride last weekend push her bridesmaids getting dressed back by an HOUR, which lost all of the portrait time for the bride and her girls, as well as the last hour of sunlight we had of the day. There is a reason we have a timeline!

  • My ceremony starts at 3pm. February next year, but I’m in Australia and it will be day light savings so therefore sun doesn’t go down until 7:30-8:00pm. 😬 I have told everyone that hair and make up will be 15 minutes earlier then the scheduled time, this allows for anyone that didn’t stay the night before to travel out and covers any traffic/accidents/ OR the absolute royal pain in the arse calls Road works.. I plan on starting with or without guests being there. I don’t wait for no one. The bar at my venue DOES NOT OPEN until 7pm (this is just there standard rule). Water and soft drink/juice will only be served beforehand and during the dinner. Thank you as always for such a helpful article.

  • Not getting married any time soon but my boyfriend and I have already predicted that his parents are going to cause delays day of the wedding. They are always late and don’t understand the meaning of getting ready in a timely manner. So we have already made the decision that someone not in the wedding party is going to be assigned to be in charge of them. That way we don’t have to worry about it and the wedding planner/coordinator can concentrate on everything else.

Two of my bridesmaids show up without makeup done and didn’t bring their dresses, so they had to go back to their room that was at the other said of the hotel. My advice is: even if all your bridal party is staying at the same hotel as you, tell them to be extra early, like one hour than the actual time you need them there. Sadly we losed time for pictures with family and I dont have getting ready pictures with my mom and those two bridesmaids.
