  • Never thought I’d be sitting on the couch with my spouse perusal a wedding article on YouTube of two people I’ve never met while shedding tears of happiness. We are so happy for both of you, congratulations!! Also, Gene losing the ring in the ocean is incredibly on brand. Now we need the follow up where Kari somehow finds it.

  • The grandma story choked me up man. 😢 My grandma got to make it to my impromptu wedding before she passed. That was sweet of her to get that pin for you. We did our wedding at the beach, with no permit we found a spot, and then my mom and Dad performed the ceremony as we were surrounded by our siblings and close family. This weekend makes 10 years. Congrats to you both, I’ve watched for a while. I’m happy for you both. One of my favorite websites. I enjoy perusal you all on this website.

  • COngratulations!!!!! Such a beautiful article I definitely cried at a bunch of different points. I don’t know why this article got to me so much but I’ve been perusal this website for a number of years now– perusal the sagas of your lives together through moving in together, Gene breaking his elbow, the loss of lefty, renovating a house together– so many beautiful, sad, funny, and genuine moments that you shared with us. I know that we are just humble observers in your unique lives, but I cannot express the joy I felt perusal this article and seeing all of those moments culminate into this unbelievably stunning, heartwarming, and perfect day of love. It felt like perusal two of my oldest friends getting married (in the least parasocial way possible), and it gave me hope for my life too. To believe again that someone could smile the way that Kari smiles at Gene during their vows. To have such wonderful supportive friends like Sam to be there for you every moment of the way. I am so unbelievably excited to see what else life has in store for this dynamic duo. Thank you for sharing these very real and very human moments with us. Congratulations again

  • Rain on your wedding day is good luck! Yes, I agree it always clears at the right time. I lost my wedding ring struggling in the water after a windsurfing breakdown on my wife’s birthday, UGH! Still together and celebrating our 39th anniversary next month. You two are on track for a great life together in my book.

  • Well, I have been a articlegrapher, and a wedding articlegrapher for 10 years, and I’ve been perusal your articles for the last 6 years so you are one of my YouTube mentors. I didn’t expect so much drama, so much emotion, so much serenity in a article in wedding article. You two did awesome. You are now my number one couple. Thank you for sharing your best moments with the world to show that true love exists and can be achieved by the simplest things possible. Thank you Thank you Thank you.

  • Congratulations, what a blast. I had 44 years before I lost her last year. It’s great to marry your best friend. Enjoy and savour each day. Just tell her you love her each and every day because one day she may not be there. That is the best article you have ever done, and the first on that has not been dominated by Gene, with Kari’s quiet, strong voice calming the waters. What a great day. Thanks.

  • OMG! So many parts of this article made me cry – starting with how beautiful Kari looked to the gift of grandma’s pin, the article pledging your love to Kari, the light during a hard rain, the rainbow after a hard rain to the sun shining on your beautiful day to ending it with Ticky walking again on his own. Many happy moment tears for sure! Your day and your lives were and are truly filled with many blessings, for sure! I’m so so happy for you both. And BTW, I hear it’s good luck when it rains on your wedding day and I can see the luck that surrounded you .both from the start of your day to the end. Congratulations! Last, congrats on the 1.01M+ subs. This just goes to shows how much your content you and your partners provide is appreciated. Love. you both! Love your team! Thank you for sharing your beautiful day.

  • Kari and Gene, I want to wish you both congratulations and a lifetime of love and happiness! From perusal your articles throughout the years, I can see the love and support you two share for one another. I have been married for almost 30 years to my best friend. I see a lot of the same qualities in companionship that you two share, as my wife and I do. This tells me that you both will have a long and happy life together. Thank you for sharing this article with all of us. The past six months have been a little stressful here at home while my wife and I deal with my newly developed heart problems and getting to see your Wedding article brought some happiness to my day. Again, congrats and stay happy!

  • God bless you Mr. & Mrs. Potato Jet !!! What a wonderful storybook wedding !!! I also lost my wedding ring, but it was nearly 20 years later, after losing a lot of weight, on a hike together on our anniversary in the Green Mountains of Vermont where we live. Your wedding photos are FANTASTICALLY GORGEOUS.

  • I’m Def not a follow a internet couple type of guy. I like camera and audio gear vids. I’m not into much about people’s personal lives. But man I could not be happier for a couple I’ve never met before. I saw this on my for you feed and clicked immediately! I love how you 2 are with each other, I love how there are no airs of putting on a personality, I love how your wedding was very “yinz” (as Pittsburgh peeps would say) . Man thank you for sharing, thank you for inspiring not just artwork but life goals, and congrats to new couple! Keep being awesome ❤❤

  • As a Wedding Photographer, I am so amused by your story and it’s moments like these where all things come together in unreal shots that have everyone in tears… and then the laughter as you narrate the story. Congrats you both Gene and Kari for an amazing adventure and those that will come in the beautiful years ahead as your souls grow closer. #TeammatesforLife I look forward to meeting you both as well as Mateo and Paula at Distrito Coffee on a future 1st Thursday.

  • I am so happy for you two crazy kids! Thank you for sharing this, it has been quite a journey since I started following your feed over five years ago. Santa Barbara is my town and I have hosted a few dinners in that room at the Lark. You could not have picked a better place! Gene, don’t feel bad, I lost my ring in the first year of my marriage. You will get an another one and it will always carry the same meaning. Your ceremony looked amazing, you two really brought the weather on your shoulders. What an awesome day for the both of you. Congrats!

  • congrats!! so inspiring to see you both handle and overcoming the difficulties! As I’m preparing my own wedding for later this year and having a similar situation with my dog coming out of nowhere, I couldn’t help myself to cry and felt the same happiness when you see the improvements on the day-to-day things. You both are amazing and great dog parents! super happy for you!

  • 7:35 What a magical moment, the light shining through the redwoods with the rain coming through! Oh my god a photographer couldn’t plan that in a million years!! Pure luck and magic! This article has me all choked up, it really hit me. I’m so happy for you two, it would be my dream if I could ever have a love as half as magical as the love that you two share! I think the rain was a nice omen, like it was cleansing the past, making way for the light of the future of you both together! Congratulations, Gene and Kari! Go Chiki!!

  • A big CONGRADULATIONS Gene and Kari! Thanks for sharing your special day and the work up to it in this article. Wishing the two you of many, many years of happiness and adventure! I was heartbroken when I saw the bit of Chicky(sp?) stumbling on the stairs. It brought back memories of our 15+ year old border collie mix that suddenly couldn’t use his hind legs. I hope Chicky continues to get better and gets to spend more time with the two of you!\r Gene, congrats on the new collab with SmallRig on the tripod. Can’t wait to get mine. It was awesome to finally meet you, Kari and Sam in person at NAB 2024. Sadly, I didn’t see Dylan there. Gene, your dad cracked me up. I sat behind him during the SmallRig presentation. I see where you get your personality from. All the best to the two of you-

  • Wow what a great journey… The weather shows how the partnership will be after the weadding. The rain represents the hardship in your new journey together then the sun coming out exactly at the ceremony of your wedding, clearly shows there’s always a bright and sunny day to look forward to 😁. I hope what im saying makes sense hahaha

  • I am really happy for you. Your article made me remenesenxe my own wedding. It was raining as well and we had to make a small walk through gardens. Wedding dress of my wife was covered in mud but we didn’t really cared because it was the best wedding. And I also lost a ring. But it was at least almost ten years after the wedding 😂 wish you a lifetime of happiness.

  • “Basically, it was just about how crazy it is that we met 6 years ago totally by chance. The smallest decisions can change your life. Of course it had a lot of the best memories that we’ve had together, but also a lot of some of the hardships that we have faced, and how much better we feel about our relationship. That we’ve been through a lot of highs and a lot of lows and our relationship just comes out the other side just so much stronger every time. Just how lucky I feel, and how much I appreciate every little thing about you. That’s true love. It’s like you love everything about the other person. We accept each other 1,000%, the good things, and the flaws, and everything. Nothing can change that, ever.” These lines >>> Congratulations to both of youuu !!!

  • I love you both for being real and down to earth. I started perusal your website at the start of the pandemic and it has been my official source for reviews since. Kari is one of the reasons why people watch your vids, and Chickie and of course, Sam and Dylan. Such wonderful guys as your “office mates”, great team! Congrats and grow more potatoes.

  • Following you guys for couple of years now and this is the first time I’m writing. Sending my regards and wish you a good and successful marriage life and hope you’ll always stay good loyal friends as you are ! Much Love from Israel..❤

  • I haven’t even started perusal the article but I just want to say, ‘Felicitations!’ – I’m so happy for you guys! Seeing you two since this website began, I want to get a megaphone and scream ‘About Time’ but I’m happy you did it when you found it was the right time and didn’t rush anything! Now what are you doing reading this? Go and have a blast!

  • Do you have a favorite romantic movie, that tears you up every time you see it? Well, I don’t know if you guys know but this website is, at least to me, like one of my favorite movies where I choke up when the story is so full of love, or you have me cracking up with your hijinks, or you make me learn about cameras or drones or dogs even. I wanted you to know that your work on YouTube has made me care about you guys and your articles mean something, thanks for all the articles and letting us have a peak into your lives. I sincerely wish you guys the best in your marriage. Take care and regards from Mexico. Felicidades! :face-red-heart-shape:
