  • Wow just yesterday I was thinking to look up some articles on correctly putting flowers on cakes! I usually do the plastic wrap, then insert the wrapped stems into extra buttercream that I pipe onto the cake for that reason. I have floral tape but was never sure if it was food safe. I’m going to try it next time! Many cake decorators in my area insert the flowers directly into the cake without wrapping them and I’m always like noooooooooooo lol.   • Good article. Beautiful cake. I just wanted to also add a helpful tip – which is unless all your ingredients are Organic – your flour (from wheat), your sugar (from sugar cane)…..etc. – are all sprayed heavily with pesticides so you will already be making the cake with those chemicals. So then it is best to buy all organic ingredients, when possible, if you do not want pesticides in your food. Thanks for the article. 🙂
