If I remember correctly there was an unusual controversy about this wedding ceremony. Under British law weddings are only valid if they’re conducted in English. The next day the bride and groom had a small civil ceremony in English to make their wedding legally valid. Even if you’re married in London in front of the Queen, you’re marriage is still invalid unless the priest uses English.

I remember when the King married the Danish Princess and they had to leave Greece. He was a very nice man fair and democratic in his thinking well educated. His children in spite of the difficulties well balanced and healthy. Will it be a private funeral ? They lived in London for many years.
