Do Israeli Grooms Sing To The Bride?

A Jewish wedding typically begins with a Kiddush or reception after prayers are over, followed by the Shabbat. For Druze couples, a religious ceremony called the Shabbat is held. The bride and groom are ceremoniously greeted with music, singing, and dancing. The groom circles her groom seven times to build their new world together, similar to the seven-day construction of the world in Jewish beliefs.

In Ashkenazi tradition, the groom may choose to host a Tisch (table) where he and his male family and friends gather to sing, share Torah, and drink whiskey. The bride sits at the kisei kalla or bride’s chair, drawing from Jewish mystical tradition. The tears shed by grooms when their bride walks down the aisle are a testament to the deep love and connection they share.

The groom is escorted by his father, the bride’s father, the rabbis, the dignitaries, and others in his retinue to the bridal reception area for the veiling ceremony, known as the bedeken. The price paid by the father of the groom to the father of the bride is called mohar.

Wedding planning is no walk in the park for grooms, as they must decide on a venue, create the guest list, figure out the budget, and select the food, music, and décor. The maid of honor and best man play an even more important role in Italian weddings, with the groom, best man, and other male escorts conducting a torch light procession to the bride’s home.

In summary, Jewish weddings involve various rituals, including the Kiddush, Shabbat, and pre-wedding rituals. The groom represents G-d, the bride represents the Jewish Nation, and the chuppah represents Mount Sinai.

Jewish couples don’t always choose Jewish designs for their weddings. However, there is a lot of heritage when it comes to picking out a wedding ring. Jewish wedding rings have a long history. Is only a glimmer of what we mean to him…I just Love you Jesus- more More than I have words for. I ask you Jesus let Every word that comes from my mouth be Nothing – but you—-

  • I, Yeshua, take thee, sinners, to be My wedded, splendored bride, to have and to hold in this world and all others, for the joys set before Me, for trials still to come, for the riches of My Father’s house, for the holiness of all poor and contrite of heart, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, to save and to perfect, till My eternal kingdom come, according to My sacred word; and thereto I pledge thee My body, My blood, and My righteousness. #PaulOnMars

  • ABC’s of Salvation A – Admit you’re a sinner in need of a Saviour (Romans 3:10, 6:23) B – Believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins (1Corinthians 15:3-4) C – Call upon the Name of the Lord and be saved (Romans 10:9-10, 10:13) Believe what Jesus Christ did for you on the cross and be saved. As Paul said in the book of Ephesians 2:8-9 – For by grace are you saved through faith and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God. Not of works lest any man should boast. • It’s a beautiful ceremony and I was a little surprised when the groom veiled the bride, it’s like the opposite in Christian weddings where the bride walks down the aisle veiled and the groom unveils her.😅 and I fell in love with this song when I first heard it and had to search it up on google which finally led me here lol.

  • I am a mother of 7 and 13 years old daughters.. I am living in Istanbul and I NEVER classify people with their religion, race and their colors.. I love everyone who has good and true heart.. I have never seen any Jewish wedding ceremony before and I fall in love with them💕After perusal some weddings, I decided to do the exactly the same style ceremony to my girls.. Bride comes with parents after a meaningful song and they wait the bridegroom.. Then he comes, he kisses his bride and takes her from her parents💕💕💕💕 I will do exactly the same 👰😍 I ADORE IT👏💘

  • Sometimes you just know by looking at a couple, their expression on their face, the way they approach each other. These two have…like…Love Lasers pointed right at each other. He just looks so adorably happy, as does she. When he came down the aisle to do the veiling thing..OMG…Waterworks !😢💗 Of course…Gilat’s GORGEOUS voice and rendition of this song ( which I love) made perusal this a total cry-fest. Really Lovely Wedding…and that Venue ! Wow! Mazel Tov to this lovely couple. “To Love Another Person Is To See The Face Of God”.

  • Wonderful. Do keep marrying people no matter what your religion. England had a total wedding ban in London from Dec 2020 to March 2021 (longest ban since the (1500s for us Catholics) unless you were dying but even so my daughter managed her wedding in April in church and although the law only allowed us 13 guests and no singing (due to covid – so much for religious freedom!!!!) still they are married and I am so pleased and now we have a Christmas present – a baby girl is born. It is so important to families to have a wedding rather than just live together. if you aren’t sure about a marriage do it for the sake of your family and society. It does not have to be expensive or large.

  • WHEN WAS THE MESSIAH TO COME? According to the Prophet Daniel, the Messiah was to come before the Destruction of the Second Temple at Jerusalem. Here is the Prediction: DANIEL’S PROPHECY: Messiah shall be cut off,but not for himself…and the people of the prince that shall come shall Destroy the city and the sanctuary(Daniel 9:26). Messiah came, and was “cut off” as Foretold.Soon afterward the city of Jerusalem and the sanctuary of the Temple were destroyed by the people of the prince,Titus and his Roman legions,in A.D.70, precisely as Predicted long centuries before by Daniel the Prophet.Rejected by Jews & accepted by the Whole World is also the Fulfillment of Prophecies.Sad thing is Still waiting for the Messiah who will Enter Jerusalem Temple on the Donkey in this Modern Age?

  • This is the best version of the song because I can barely hear the awful accent on the ”H”, I guess the Jewish people have no problem with it but for me and other people (maybe) in other parts of the world the ”H” destroys my/our eardrums. This version of the song was the first one I have heard and I loved it so much I have looked for other singers singing it trying to find a better version without the “H” but they are much much worst or when they don`t have the accent they sing the song with low energy or I don`t like their voice. This woman does it amazing even if I can hear the “H” it is not that bad, I can fully enjoy it and I love her energy. Please don`t get mad at me because I hate how Jewish people pronounce the “H”, I didn`t invent it, it is not my fault, most people in the world talk normally and my ears are used to the normal pronunciation of the “H” 🙂 Peace!
