When did Joe stop loving Love?
Joe rejected Love because she was manipulative, a murderer, and had a short temper. Joe killed her at the end of Season 3 because she tried to kill him first. The show made a mistake by creating a character who was just as charming as Joe but much more dangerous. Love Quinn deserved more screen time because she was the perfect villain for Joe. Joe and Love were similar in many ways. They both killed for the people they loved and justified it by saying the person deserved to die. Joe thinks he’s above killing because he sees himself as a savior, not an enemy. He always has a reason for killing, kidnapping, or blackmailing. He saw Love’s impulse to get rid of anyone who stood in her way as barbaric or senseless without considering his own actions. Joe is no better than Love. They’re both killers who kill those who stand in their way. They deserve to be together forever. One funny part of Season 3 is that Love and Henry stopped Joe from pursuing Marienne. Joe didn’t have much time to stalk his new prey and fit in with her. Even when Joe and Marienne started to have an affair, Love revealed the darker side of Joe. Joe saved people from harm. That’s heroism.

Joe falls in love with Marienne Bellamy, a local librarian. He tries to make Love lose interest by having an open marriage and inviting the Conrads for an orgy. Love is overwhelmed and says she killed Natalie, so she and Joe kidnap the Conrads. She made one of them kill themselves or each other so that one could go free. But she is angry that neither of them would do such a thing, showing that their bond was stronger than Love’s bond with Joe. Theo Engler learns the truth about Joe and Love when he visits the bakery. Years later, Love had learned how to make the poison go through the skin.

The ending of You season 3 is memorable, disturbing, and inevitable. Joe and Love’s story couldn’t end any other way because they’re both scared of being alone and used to playing games with each other. Joe runs away to Paris. He might start the cycle again with a new name and obsession, but he seems to be looking for Marianne. Joe and Love’s relationship ends after he kills her. Love will haunt Joe for the rest of his life. He has to live with what he did to her and that he gave up their baby. Joe is in a bad emotional place. What does Love Quinn suffer from?
Trivia. In the book, Love doesn’t kill anyone but discovers Joe’s crimes and covers them up. Love saying “wolf” as a replacement for “love” is a hint at her true nature: an intelligent predator who hides in sheep’s clothing and traps their prey. Love fits the western example of the yandere archetype. She’s possessive of Joe, but especially so after killing Candace and Delilah. She might have had borderline personality disorder, which is also common in yanderes.
Did Sherry hear Love say she killed Natalie?
Cary and Sherry have a date with Joe and Love. It goes well until Love realizes Joe is thinking of Marienne. She shouts, “I killed Natalie for you,” which everyone hears. They get stuck in the basement! This whole sequence is fantastic and the best this show has ever been. Marienne has a custody hearing that goes badly. Joe comforts her even though he has to clean up after an attempted double homicide. He kills Ryan because he thinks that’s the only way to be happy with Marienne. (He stages this as a mugging.) I fell in love with Love in this season. The whole show shows how smart Joe is and how he always get away with things so to see that she was outsmarting him was legit amazing to watch. The writer, the actor/actress played everything so well and perfectly its insane. Can’t wait for season 4, sad that she died as she has grown on me.
Joe stopped loving love after he found out she was capable of murder because she was supposed to be prey. She was supposed to be this grieving widow who had family trauma and broke down crying to him about her past, she was VULNERABLE. because he was always about full control. To serve his needs of repressing his mommy issues and having a woman love him unconditionally. This is why he accepts Becks cheating and Candace’s cheating, he will do whatever it takes to keep them around as long as their clueless. But love exposed how she knew his plans and actions all along and that scared the shit out of joe, because if love ever cheated on him (which she did end up doing) she could just up and leave and ruin his idea of a perfect family triggering him all over again. And he couldn’t lock her in a basement like beck, love, like he said multiple times, could kill him. Joe wants these women to be in love with him he isn’t in love with them. He judges them so harshly through all of his internal dialogue. He hates, ALL of their friends or their support systems who could call him out. Classic narcissist. Dude is literally nothing but a cashier at a bookstore and he judges and ruins the lives of these women who admittedly struggle and are kind of flawed but have a lot going for them. Candace was in a band that was doing good, beck was a writer in a really nice apartment in New York and friends who really loved her and partied with her all the time and, and love was an amazing cook working at her family’s business and even started her own bakery with what seems like no help from joe.
0:56-1:00 The part where she tries to speak but nothing comes out is exactly what it feels like when you’re so choked up with emotions that words just fail you. Her slight head tilt, the tremble of her lips, it’s all so raw and real. You can see her inner turmoil, battling not to let her anger at Joe spill over because she’s terrified of being left alone. It’s heartbreakingly vulnerable. I teared up perusal her fight to stay composed. Victorias subtle acting in the scene, especially is superb.
It’s just Joe is a hypocrite. He stopped having feelings for Love when he found out that she killed Candice and Delilah, Love was his soulmate when he thought Love is this kind, heartwarming and innocent person. I get that he was trying to leave the killing people behind but I think what he doesn’t get is that, he’ll kill anyone who becomes close to the person he currently likes (which is why Love got so angry when she found out that the ex husband of Marienne was killed, she knew it was Joe that killed himy) she knows Joe, he kills for the girl he currently have an interest with and that’s how she also found out that he stopped loving her when Joe suggested Love to flirt with Theo
Love was insane indeed, but she deserved better. She wasn’t obsessed or crazy about Joe. Seh just wanted love like anyone else and Joe did not deserve her. He never had his heart in the game truly and i don’t think anyone can blame her for wanting to punish him for cheating, emotially abusing gaslighting and all the other shit he did to her.
I avoid perusal series television – and then I clicked on YOU. I’ve never been more effected by a finale ANNNND a monologue (Love’s) ANNNNND a song pic… and the protagonist’s climatic follow-through…. HOLY CRAP. Serious amazing. I was devastated to see Love so damaged, so hurt and then off-ed. Brilliant writing. Brilliant acting by all (and character development) SUPERB. UGH!
It was this episode, especially the end during these scenes where I realized “HOLY SHIT she is a phenomenal actress” The way she didnt say a word, yet siad thousands with her eyes and expressions. You could literally see he go from normal to crazy, and as the scene progresses you can see her slowly leaving and her crazy taking over. Until the end when shes talking to joe, sharpening the knife, before trying to slit his throat. She looked like she finally hit the edge. The crazy fully took over. Which is wild because she’s saying “I dont even recognize myself anymore” during it. PHENOMENAL ACTING!!!!!
I love how Love gets more attractive as the season goes on because she doesn’t want Joe to leave her. she knows he only loves women until they show they’re not “the one” and knows that he started seeing her differently after he found out who she really was. I’m probably reading too much into the costuming but that’s what I do ig
I really love how they got Penn’s character. Only a complete narcissist only sees himself as a righteous villain and anyone else as flawed and insane for doing the same things he does. This only made love more unstable. I have BPD and I totally related to love. I am not sure what her diagnosis would have been
I was in a 5yr long relationship with someone who was 95% exactly like LOVE… apart from killing, rest of psychopathic personality were in her. When I was perusal this series… I couldn’t stop having flashbacks of similar personality and mannerism my Ex had! It looks romantic and cute in the series, but in real world… it is scary!
Seriously though, I feel for Love bc this is one of my worst fears. It really suks when ur w someone who wanders and yet still acts like sitting down for a dinner “amicably” to say u want a divorce is the way to do it.😂 If joe was a real person, he’d be the biggest POS alive. Be a joe, ur gonna get a Love. Just saying.🤷♀️
I finished season 3 part 1 and it’s definitely not my favourite season although going into it I was 99% sure it couldn’t beat season 2 and 3 because of Love Quinn 🥺😍 My favourite seasons in order: Season 3 Seaon 2 Season 1 Season 4 (so far) Too early to tell for season 4 but so far it seems like it’s the worst season but not to say it’s bad. It’s not bad at all, just that the other seasons, especially 3, were just that good.
I am really sorry you feel this way Ang. I felt scared to approach you because I felt I was being singled out and targeted for no reason. So I did love you from a distance. Made sure your friends were okay. That’s all I could do at that age. It felt to me like your friends were your real family. If you’re scared you’re allowed to distance yourself too. It’s not your job as a child to solve problems of the adults around you. Always assume you’re working with incomplete information. You don’t know the full story and you don’t have to. In short words, the problems of adults around you is not your business. Your only job is to study at that age.
who uses that only time that needed to happen was when im become enraged and cant be controlled by talking me out of it who still has that bottle we may need it yet not for me for jesse when im dealing with him yeah he terrifies me but i can still handle him i just have to have my shadow around me when i do
Reminds me of my abusive ex bf. When I wanted to leave, he would steal and hide important items like my Apple Watch, my phone, my keys so that I couldn’t leave. Essentially leaving me paralyzed. Making me feel so out of control… I would freak out and start screaming, begging for my things or for him to stop lying he didn’t have them… He would tell me I was crazy and he would keep gaslighting me. He’d threaten to leave or he would tell me I needed to calm down before he’d give the item(s) back. So I sat there. Internally raging, but unable to say anything. He paralyzed me and brainwashed me. Disgusting.
They are both evil but Love almost every evil deed was done for someone else. She killed Sofia for taking advantage of her brother. She killed Delilah and Candace to protect Joe. She assaulted Gil for sickening her child. She attempted to kill the boy (can’t think of his name) to protect Joe. Now James Natalie Sherry and Cari were the worst she did. Joe on the other hand killed for more selfish reasons except for the comedian and Paco’s stepdad. Both are awful tho.
Everyone says her face after joe asks for a divorce is terrifying but I think her face at 0:55 is A LOT scarier cuz she looks absolutely unhinged like she’s about to ready to go on bloody rampage. She’s looking at Joe as if he said something so outrageous and ludicrous when really Joe saying that could peacefully end their marriage and co parent Henry is probably the most and only reasonable thing he has ever said lol. It was the look of the minuscule shred of sanity her psychotic ass had left that was hanging by a fragile thread leave her body!
what i don’t understand about this scene, is that joe could’ve used the knife to get more chicken. what then? it would’ve been awkward. joe paralysed on the floor and love unable to explain herself. lol. i guess it shows just how well love knows joe. she had a feeling that this would happen, and he would grab the knife. she predicted this would happen way before, hence why she grew that wolfsbane. just shows how crazy and brilliant she is. or it was just something the writers didn’t think about.
