In 2014, our hard work paid off and we got into the industry. But it took seven more years before one of our projects was made. The Princess was the project. At last! An idea to consider: I always thought that Buttercup ordered Westley around because it gave her an excuse to approach him and speak to him, and she hadn’t consciously processed her crush on him. Also, explicit in the novel is that, through years of observing her closely, Westley had come to truly love Buttercup by the start of the story, while her infatuation finished developing into true love about the time he left the farm.
