Does The Groom Beard Oil Really Work?

Beard oil is not a scientifically proven solution to speed up beard growth. Its main purpose is to moisturize the skin and roots of the hair to promote growth. However, not all beard oils are suitable for facial hair growth. The growth rate for most facial hair is about a quarter of an inch per month, so it’s important to consider whether investing in beard growth oils, serums, and supplements is worth it.

Beard oil helps prevent common beard problems like beard dandruff, beard itch, acne, and beard brittleness. It also helps maintain healthy skin beneath the beard by promoting improved blood circulation and a healthy environment for hair growth. Beard oil is a must-have for any bearded individual, as it helps keep the beard healthy, soft, and smelling great.

However, beard oil indirectly helps your beard grow by creating the right conditions for efficient growth. Genetics determines your facial hair capabilities, so applying beard oil is unlikely to help patchy beards. Vitamin D, vitamin C, and vitamin B6 are essential for beard density, graying, and hair loss.

Beard growth cream is a carefully crafted concoction of natural oils, beard vitamins, and other nutrients that make facial hair grow thicker, healthier, and more potent. Beard oils are formulated with ingredients that are nourishing for the skin, and activities like massaging the beard oil on the skin promote improved blood circulation.

While beard oil does work, it may not be the only beard growth product that works. Beard growth kits contain silicone, making the beard shiny and greasy, and need to be washed after application.

  • I improved my hair by following these: Including more and more vitaminC from lemon, orange, kiwi, 7-8 hrs of adequate sleep everyday, have nuts such as almonds, walnuts, or peanuts in limited, you can also have fish like salmon. Exercise a minimum of 20 – 30 mins daily. Using organic shampoo, oil, neem wood comb, massager for scalp by Littleextra Cooconion two times a week. All this is good for hair fall control.

  • Okay so, a couple of days ago, I viewed your articles and subbed to your website (come here), and I immediately became obsessed with your content, from extremely helpful life hacks to delicious recipes that you recommended. To top it off (come closer), you’re a down to earth person with such a sense of humor and a chill vibe. Hope your day goes well and you stay safe.

  • Alright, this is completely underrated and I understand if you don’t try it but I have something I think would be interesting. My Mom always goes to Wendy’s and mixes Natural Lemonade with Grape/Orange Hi-C, I havent tried it but she preaches that its delicious, and she said the Wendy’s workers who tried it liked it as well. Also, thanks for all the tips and tricks you post! It really helps!

  • I LOVE that Jordan’s got nearly 3 million subscribers, but he’s still making articles in his bathroom, using his phone camera & audio. There’s creators out here making articles with expensive equipment & stunning cinematography, with only a fraction of the subscribers. You know the actual content is 💯 when it doesn’t even need bells & whistles to get popular lol

  • That’s awesome mate I also use the same measurements with coconut oil and virgin olive oil but I am definitely going to try the avo oil and peppermint oil thanks buddy love the website keep up the great work you do and I’m looking forward to seeing what else you’ll blow my mind with with your great research and results bruh 🤙from 🇦🇺

  • Rosemary oil is the best for male pattern baldness. It works almost as well as topical minoxidil. It likely works by stopping DHT synthesis in the scalp. Now DHT or DihydroTestosterone is a form of testosterone that regular testosterone can be converted into. It’s more powerful and acts especially strongly on hair. On most of your body it will cause body hair growth like your face and entire rest of body. But for some odd reason too much of it in your scalp will cause male pattern baldness in some people. Minoxidil, and very likely rosmary oil as well block the DHT. If you did that in your whole body you’d end up with symptoms of testosterone deficiency. But doing it to just your scalp makes your hair happy and spares you any side effects. Aside from smelling like rosemary.

  • That’s a very diluted avocado oil and peppermint oil mixture. I personally. I researched it months ago, and got the recipe. 1 10-ml dropper bottle 10 ml of MCT oil 20-30 drops of peppermint oil And it does cause baby beard growth that eventually thickens. You can also use muscle rub creams with menthol. The one I use has 10% menthol and 15% methyl salicylate.

  • A huge part of beard growth is first finding out if you can even grow the one you want. Most men don’t realize that its genetic and it doesn’t matter what you take you just don’t have the hair follicles for it and at best products can help make it look more full or help what you already have grow more but if you are an older adult and still don’t have one yet chances are you can’t grow one the way you want to naturally

  • Minoxidil + Dermarolling, 1 ml of Minoxidil twice a day, 0.5 ml each side of the beard, derma roll twice a week both vertically and horizontally twenty times on full beard. For your hair either take finastride to slow or stop the hairloss, and coconut oil mixxed with a few drops of rosemary oil on scalp and balding areas, has far more potent hair regrowth stimulation than avocado/pepperment oil. You’re welcome.

  • If you want hair to grow you gotta feed it what it needs from the inside. It does help to use oil, but it mainly depends what you eat. Personally, I’ve been eating jello as an easy protein packed snack, along with eggs and meat. I also use caster oil on my hairline and it really does help. It also makes my skin less itchy, and it make my skin and hair super soft. I put a heavy amount on my scalp and let it sit for 10-15 minutes before a shower. 🚿 Honestly, I think the trick is to get it directly on the skin.

  • I randomly ask men at work how I can grow a beard like them and will carry on a full conversation like I am seriously contemplating it. None ever question it but they are very helpful with suggestions and support even though I am obviously not gonna grow one I do occasionally want to ask if they know I am messing with but I don’t want to ruin my own joke

  • Mine will even out, mine grows in like my dad’s did, a few spots are thin or non-existent but his brother can grow a lumberjacks body hair with a beard in half a day. Testosterone as an aging man caused my dad’s beard to start coming in full and thick AF. I’m wondering if mine needs some help like that too? Deer antler velvet extract I’m thinking 😂

  • If you’re having hair loss you should use minoxidil. It’s an over the counter drug that has shown to help with androgenic alopecia, which is the common form of hair loss also known as male hair pattern baldness. Clinical studies show it to help 2/3s of men with their hairless across all age ranges and if you’re younger than 30 it works at around an 80-90% of the time. There is a topical version and an oral version and both have shown to have similar levels of effectiveness but the topical version has less chances of side affects.

  • Unrefined-cold pressed-virgin-coconut oil. It is a carrier oil so it feeds your beard all day, anti fungal, and works as a light wax. All in one for 9$. Most importantly is washing your beard/face everyday in the shower and brushing beard with a boar bristle brush to exfoliate the skin. I reccomend Garnier Whole Blend coconut shampoo for your head and beard.

  • Everybody wants what they cant have. They want a beard but know nothing of the maintenance or annoying moments it gives. The itching, getting food trapped, trimming your mustache so you dont take a bite of it with your sandwich. More trimming, shaping. I miss my early teen days with no beard at all😂

  • Ineffective on its own. I don’t have the time to explain everything rn, but for the best results, use cornmint oil and a dermapen. There are tons of other things to know, e.g., I’d use aloe oil as the carrier oil, not avocado oil (because it helps a lot more to prevent infection, etc.; a carrier oil is needed because you don’t want to use too much menthol, which is the reason for peppermint/cornmint oil, which cornmint has more of), but that’s the gist. I typed a huge comment about everything you need to know under Trav White’s 8/10/23 facial hair article. Sort by new and scroll down to 2 months ago.

  • “Dear baseball ” is a article dated 3yrs ago in the playlist that subcripbers should watch if you wanna know bit about the background history of our president of the fastfood club right here.. it will make you go” i didnt see that come in or wow whoever thought “. my deepest respect for your hardwork and dedication and ways to seek knowledge to be better and doing it purely out of love of the game …. and got hurt or dissapointed not reaching a certain level ?? probably .but i guess you have great foundation of good parents and family..around you, that you dont have no regrets and no ill feelings abt it…cause taught you other aspects of hey lets keep moving postively and its nothing wrong been petty sometimes

  • Ok I just spent 50$ on Amazon gathering everything needed for this because why not. Context I can grow everything sorta just my chin to my beard won’t connect like I have gaps but I feel little little hairs. so in a couple weeks I shall come back and update this post and let y’all know how it goes. Thank you jordan

  • Trust me look at my photo it’s an chin beard and it does not even connect on the right side but I still like to have some facial hair. My mother wants me to keep it for some reason she says lady’s will like it LOL still got no lady so yup and I used everything from Jamaican black castor oil all the way to JOJOBA oil to Argan oil

  • People always ask me if I use any sort of beard growth oils or creams. I generally tell them I have heard they do not work. But the best thing you can do is exactly what this gentleman recommends. Massage the oils into your skin, brush it, I do recommend Whal beard softener as it smells AMAZING and has shown to make my beard more softer. I also use a beard straightener on occasion to help with trimming. Great article.

  • Question: how do you clean your skin? I don’t usually let mine grow out longer than half an inch, I don’t use all the oils and techniques it’s just pure laziness that it gets that long. When I trim it down to a natural shadow I begin to break out in spots here and there presumably because I can’t effectively clean my face with my face wash. How do you guys get around that?

  • I’m 33 years old and I don’t think I can grow one. At least on the sides after 3-4 weeks my cheeks just have a few sparse hairs maybe 1″ long looks really bad. Not sure if maybe more hairs will come in later but I’m always too embarrassed to find out so I shave it off. My chin and mustache grow pretty gkkd
