The vows were such a cool & creative idea! It doesn’t matter what we the viewers think of the timing or theme of the wedding. It was clearly an amazing day for this family regardless of the circumstances (being limited by what the producers will sign off on). I’m so glad to see the mum was able to see her daughter get married 🌹
Why don’t the grooms look at the bride walking down the aisle in the UK? When the church doors opened and I saw my husband’s face light up and his eyes fill with tears, it made that moment extremely special. In all of the weddings I have watched on this show and others, the grooms only see their brides once they are beside them. They don’t get the full effect of seeing their brides walk down the aisle. I understand traditions, but I couldn’t abide by this one.
I thought her dress looked so beautiful with the straps. It was very Simon and Garfunkle era. The style of the dress really suited her. I thought the green bridesmaid dresses were a good choice too. And the musician that sang throughout the wedding and performed the wedding ceremony, well, that was so cool. Everything just went so well together. So a happy for them both. I hope his nut healed by the wedding day so they could have an enjoyable mini honeymoon.
oh man I felt for the step dad but understand the bride.. I too have a father not present and a stepfather who has been there since i was little girl. when I get married i will have to deal with that decision cuz eventhough my dad is 13 hrs away i know he would drive over and how could I choose my stepdad over my real dad. he’s not close to me i actually avoid talking with him but whenever we do talk or see each other it melts my heart like I’m his special daughter and forget for a min all the hurt
ive been perusal this show and have come to the conclution that it is wholly contrived. it should be called :dont tell the producer. the ideas get more and more unreal to gain an audiance. heaven forbid anyone would want a traddiional do. but then of course they wouldnt be chosen. i know i want to get married in a nuclear power reactor
Well I watched the whole episode the other week and went from originally thinking ‘what a complete idiot’ to ‘aww that was sweet’. It may not have been the wedding she would have planned, but when the groom and congregation all sang to the bride (Kylie and Jason ‘Especially for You’) it was quite a lovely moment. It strikes me that sometimes the men organise things that seem random, but which have an emotional significance, whilst the women all want to be like the bride on the cover of Brides Monthly.
I assume 95% of the people who commented have not seen the full episodes he was trying to copy Neighbours Scott and Charlene wedding day. He was not selfish and did think about a lot of the small details apart from the fact his bride to be had never seen Neighbors and had to be shown a clip of it after the church before they got to the reception.
The dress isn’t that bad. Alterations can upgrade and totally change the look of that dress plus one speck of dirt on the veil could be steamed out and alterations can also upgrade the veil using trimmings off the dress. The fact that he even wanted to be involved is quite nice. Some men run for the hills during wedding planning lol. Hope everything worked out.
Just where do you find a dress like that nowadays? Unless of course, you’re shopping in a second hand store. Since the veil he provided was so cheap, I’m thinking that’s precisely where he did his shopping and that her dress must have come from there too. Poor thing. Not even a new dress on her wedding day. Provided with used.
I would not marry anyone who would ever do this? Just ridiculous and so juvenile! I would simply just remove that top layer on the train and then select another tulle or chiffon to sew over it.Another idea is to buy a very long veil that is very close in color and fabric. Then remove the top of the train and replace with a cathedral or chapel veil .Those are two easy ways to fix this. The last way is one that would require someone who would know how to sew. The front of her gown has lace on it and it also has a black accent flourish. The lace on this gown is on the lower end and very common to find. She could cut out the repulsive hand prints by taking just half of the top layer of the train off. Then it’s not difficult to sew a similar fabric at the midway point. Then she could use a very similar lace to cover up the seams and it would give the illusion that it’s the identical fabric too. At least it’s in an area that can be remedied if you have any knowledge about design and sewing. I know that I would never Marry anyone after that. I know this is a show about drama but I notice that many of these younger males are actually laughing and making a joke out of their wedding. I always wonder why any of these women are marrying them? I think it’s obvious that many of the younger ones are seeing their wedding day and they are not really focusing on the idea of MARRIAGE? I keep on thinking that if you wanted to really have a beautiful wedding day, you should want to plan it together with family and friends?
