A woman who fled the United States to join ISIS and marry a fighter has expressed her desire to return home. The federal government has announced that the wives and children of ISIS fighters who are repatriated to Australia will return “to where they left from.” ISIS brides from Canada, the US, and Europe are asking to return home years after fleeing for Syria. Many of these women subsequently acquired high public profiles, either through their efforts to recruit more volunteers, when they died, or because they recanted and wished to return to their home countries. Commentators have noted that it will be hard to differentiate between the women who played an active role in atrocities and those who were stay-at-home.
Shamima Begum, who had three children during her time with ISIS, has repeatedly appealed to the public for a return to the U.K. The Supreme Court has ruled that she will not be allowed to return to the UK to fight her citizenship case. However, sympathy toward these women on account of their age and the fact that many have young children or, as in Begum’s case, have also lost children, raises questions about whether they will be held accountable for any crimes they committed while part of the civil war in Syria.

I’m not an American. I also already heard so many people talk America is like this or America is like that. Obviously I don’t simply believe on what they say although at some extent honestly I accept their opinions. However, when seeing this kind of people who seems like cursing western countries including America at one point and showing offensive actions toward them, and when they failed they turned to be like a crybaby who beg America to return home, I just feel like kind of disgusting thing. It’s shameful to attack someone once but then begging him latter when you have nowhere else to live
No. Treason is one of those crimes that one has to bear the cost of solo. There is not nor should there be any process for repatriation of a traitor to a country they actively sought the down-fall of. It is truly tragic if parents — particularly Islamic parents — are NOT sufficiently instilling this in their children. But treason is the crime one has to keep on paying for for a lifetime. And if they are so careless to bring a child into that situation, all the more shame on them. Even the repatriation of just the child would be fraught with complications. Firstly, the family could have nothing to do with them because they would inevitably poison the child’s mind against the nation that “unjustly” kept the mother away. One could lie to the child; tell them their mother was killed or something. But if they grow up and find out differently they will be primed to just become the next generation of traitor/terrorist against their homeland for unfair treatment of the mother AND lying about it. Treason terrible both coming and going, and affecting even unto future generations. Refusing repatriation is a very bitter pill that everyone is going to have to swallow.
As a Muslim myself I think anyone who falls into this isis recruitment trap is slow in the head. People need to think about everything objectively. How can you just drop everything and go cause some randon men on the internet sold you this fake dream? Granted, she is very young and impressionable and the recruitment tactics are getting more and more advanced. Similar to how women get caught in trafficking nowadays. It’s quite sad tbh they were fooled and tricked at such a young age too.

Leave them in Syria.if their husbands were with them it would be a different story. They were told by their husband to try and go back to their countries if their husbands are dead or capture. Go home and raised the next ISIS generation in a safe and loving environment. Therefore, the ISIS children would received proper care and grow healthy. The next generation of ISIS will also get a proper education. Do you realized that ISIS has so many children?
