What religion is the black veil?
“The Ministers Black Veil” is set in a small Puritan community. To understand the story, it’s important to know about Puritanism. The Puritans were a Christian Protestant group that started in England in the 1600s. They were banned from the country for their beliefs, so Puritans left for America and settled in New England. The Puritans believed that all people are born sinful and that only good behavior and religious education can lead them to heaven. Puritans lived simple lives and avoided dancing, singing, wearing bright colors, and going to plays. They focused on their piety and saw their behavior as an outward manifestation of their inner goodness. In “The Minister’s Black Veil,” Hawthorne shows the conflict between Hooper’s strict Puritanism and Milford’s more relaxed Puritanism. At the start of the story, the townspeople are thinking about secular things as they walk to church. Children are laughing, and young men are looking at young women. Hooper seems like a paragon of Puritan virtues once he puts on the veil. He doesn’t want to get married or make friends, even though Hawthorne says he likes both. When asked why, he says he’s more interested in what happens after death than in his life on earth. This is the classic Puritan choice. As the story goes on, Hawthorne shows that Puritanism has flaws. Hooper’s veil encourages the townspeople to pay more attention to his sermons and fear for their souls. Hawthorne never shows the reward for this.” The Puritans have taken the townspeople’s joy and energy for nothing. The Puritans believe sin is everywhere, so they think the veil represents Hooper’s sins. They don’t realize he’s trying to tell them to look at their own sins. Even Hooper, a Puritan, may be breaking his own rules. The black veil makes him more visible to the townspeople, which could make him guilty of the sin of pride. Hooper is no better than the townspeople having fun on Sunday. The only difference is that Hooper is unhappy. Hawthorne thinks Puritanism is good because it makes people moral and pious. But it also makes them unhappy and makes them show off their morality.

Is Black Veil Brides emo or goth?
Wikipedia says Black Veil Brides is an emo rock band. No more stereotypes. I hate the term “emo” for anything. People often call my rock bands “emo.” This pisses me off. I call my rock music “scene.” My last post explains why I dislike stereotypes. Stereotypes make people narrow-minded. Sorry for the rant. Anyway, back to my point. Alternative rock has a wide range of sounds. I had no idea what to expect from Black Veil Brides. I watched some of their music videos on YouTube. I don’t usually look up music videos. This shows how much I wanted to know about Black Veil Brides. “Heart of Fire” and “In the End” were my first Black Veil Brides songs. I wasn’t expecting such a hard rock sound. Black Veil Brides’ rock sound is very different from Andy Black’s The Shadow Side album. Black Veil Brides is one of the hardest rock bands I listen to. Only my symphonic metal and nu-metal bands come close to this heavy hard rock sound. I like variety in rock subgenres. It took me a few days to get used to Black Veil Brides’ music. The drums, bass, and two electric guitars made a beautiful, complex sound with Andy’s deep voice. This is the perfect combination. My ears loved it. I was hooked.
Is Andy Biersack religious?
Religious views. Biersack is not religious, but he is Catholic because he went to a Catholic school, his parents are Catholic, and his music for Black Veil Brides references the Bible. In an interview with Loudwire, he said, “I’m not religious, but I grew up in a religious family.” I went to my grandfather’s funeral. Everyone said he went to Heaven. I always fight with that because I would love to believe that my grandfather is in Heaven playing video games. But I can’t. Biersack has had many injuries while performing with Black Veil Brides. His worst was a fall from a 15-foot pillar in Hollywood on June 18, 2011. He fell forward and hit his chest on the edge, which resulted in three broken ribs and one dislocated. The band was only three songs into their set, but he got back up on the stage and finished it despite the severity of his injuries. Black Veil Brides had to miss the first week of the Vans Warped Tour in 2011 because of this injury. On October 26, 2011, Biersack broke his nose while on another tour in the UK. This resulted in more missed tour dates. Two days later, he performed with Black Veil Brides in London.
In an interview with Revolver Magazine, Biersack said:
Why is Ashley no longer in Black Veil Brides?
Purdys’s exit came after he spent time in a psychiatric hospital for grief counseling and therapy. “It was bad timing,” says Purdy. “They weren’t related.” “There are legal aspects to what I can say about the departure.” Purdy explains what happened from his perspective, without breaking legal agreements. “Black Veil Brides is a business, and there are legal rules,” he explains. “It’s like a divorce. We’re working it out.”
What is the Black Veil Brides controversy?
People envy those who brag about a party lifestyle. They envy people who are doing what they love for a living. They’re envious when they think one of the members has a record-producer father. Some well-known musicians have made negative comments about the band, including Ivan Moody of Five Finger Death Punch and Phil LaBonte of All That Remains. They say Black Veil Brides are not really metal. Black Veil Brides lyrics deal with heavy metal topics. They appeal to those who feel like outsiders. They like weirdos and tell fans to believe in themselves. I realized my problem with Black Veil Brides has nothing to do with whether they’re metal. They’re clearly metal. The problem is that the band is seen as emo by some old-school metal fans. Their name means a woman who marries into the church gives up all her pleasures to devote herself to God. It’s both good and bad. The combination of dark, heavy music (nowadays deemed as emo) with a rebellious attitude and a younger audience rubs older metalheads the wrong way. The band has changed a lot. Each new record is different, and so are they. It’s hard to take a young band seriously when they demand respect for their consistent music.

Also, theres a lot of you fuckers that are hating on this band. Please, for the sake of yourself, get a life. If all you have to bring to the world is harsh words then you aren’t trying hard enough. How about instead of commenting rude things on a band that you don’t like’s article, go watch some bands that you do like. Believe it or not, Black Veil Brides helps a lot of people get through a lot of shit, big or small, and they try very hard at making good music. If you don’t like it, go somewhere else, watch something different, be a little more productive with your life and do something that you enjoy rather than being mean to others for what they enjoy. If you don’t have anything nice to say, please, don’t waste your breath and don’t say anything at all. Peace, love y’all ❤
Personally I like BVB’s music. But seriously fans, don’t be silly! You don’t need to rage. Haters have other options than you. If you don’t like it, you can ignore them. It’s freedom. Let’s people think what they think. Everybody has difference music tastes. I don’t like Justin Bieber or 1D, I has right to not like them. This people have right to not like BVB. Hating is stupid. But to mean difference is ok. BVB-fans, everybody has difference tastes. It’s legal to be to honest.
Stop hating! If they sound like some other bands or dress like them it doesn’t mean they’re steeling there look. Maybe they’re just following there idols…. Me and my band…. We are trying to be like our idols, our music is bit different but it sometimes can sound like there’s… And the looks so if they like it why shouldn’t they dress like it? I like them and I have no shame
I find it hard to like Black Veil Brides I really do, they’re a great band but the fans kill it for me,the whole “I like Black Veil Brides for Andy or (Insert Band member name here)” annoys me beyond belief and the fact that they get so much attention for being positive when they’re not the only rock or Metal band that are positive, there’s just alot keeping me in the grey on them
Is it just me or towards the end does it seem like the other members are getting a little annoyed with Andy and kinda looking at him and thinking Dude shut the fuck up, let us talk now. It kinda sucks how Andy gets almost all of the attention and the other members are like a bit of an afterthought to interviews.
Yeeeessss I have been waiting for you guys to do some BVB! Andy’s vocals are like no other! Fun fact, he spoke about this on his Patreon show, the reason his voice is so low and unique is because is vocal flaps are horizontal instead of vertical like most of us. They offered surgery but he declined in fear of it changing his voice drastically. Now on to CC the drummer he is one of the best out there IMO and he actually played with FIR for a tour and is in the Drugs article. He is a killer drummer and a great person. I just saw them last week, did VIP again, nicest group of guys. You may also recognize the singer Andy as he was in the movie American Satan as well as the amazon prime show Paradise City while is an extension of the movie. One last thing, the logo changes with every album. Each album/EP is a different theme/story. Andy is very creative! He designs all the outfits and is very involved with the concept of these articles. If you check out the 4 part article series for The Phantom Tomorrow Album (Scarlet Cross, Fields of Bone, Crimson Skies, & Torch) he directed a few of those articles himself.. Honestly it would be a fun series for you to do.. Ok I will shut up now. I could go on all day about this band.
I too was one who liked their stuff, had a couple of their songs on my playlist, but never dug in. They had Dark Divine as their openers on the last (and current) tour, whom I freaking ADORE (check them out!!!!!!!) BVB are so freaking amazing live! Andy sounds better somehow live, and each of the musicians shine in their talent. The guitar and drum solos blew my mind. Heck even their crew put on a show doing the set up and scene changes. And their tickets are incredibly reasonably priced. Im not a big fan of crowds so I do not generally go to concerts, but I would 100% go see them again. I am now a proud member of the BVB Army!
Saviour II and scarlet cross pls Also when you were talking about his register, he does tend to stay in that same range, but here recently it sounds like he’s been trying to move his vocals around more. Whether it’s with screams like in this song or in crimson skies, or hitting more high notes like in Saviour II.
That… that was so… beautiful, majestic, heartwarming, I don’t know what to say, my god…. but… My heart burst out of my chest, I even had a tear or two of joy in my eyes…. wow, the effects, the lyrics, the article, so incredibly cinematic and magnificent, the band and Andy himself, the article and lyrics of “Bleeders” are just the film “Sweeney Todd” itself and it’s incredibly fantastic, one of the best songs and articles from them and ever…!!! X3
Loved your reaction and enthusiasm for this song that I have had on repeat since released. This song will be on an upcoming EP with 2 other songs, but they’ve said this is indicative of their new sound that will be in their next album. They’ve evolved their sound and look over the years, and I love this new stuff the most even though I have been a fan for years. Glad my favorite reactors got around to this one! ❤️
I’ve been a BVB fan for nearly 14 years now and lemme tell you… they’re just fantastic! Vale was the only album cycle that was kinda tough, because the band almost broke up… but considering they figured out what was bringing them down and got back in the saddle, I’d say they’re incredibly well rounded. I’m incredibly excited for a new album!
I know it’s not really you guy’s speed but they have a 45 minute movie covering most of their Wretched and Divine album called Legion of the Black, the 3 songs missing from the movie are Nobody’s Hero, Devil’s Choir, and We Don’t Belong if you wanna do a full album review, for individual songs I’d definitely recommend Wretched and Divine, Set the World on Fire, Fallen Angels, Knives and Pens (Re-Stitched version), Perfect Weapon (original version), and The Legacy. Thank you for the awesome articles as always 🤘
So this article is based on Sweeney Todd, the play and the movie. The child sees Andy killing these men but doesn’t understand why but Andy knows what those people did to that child and his family so with the child being unaware of those troubles, he assumes Andy is the bad person and kills him, creating a new cycle where the child will kill in the future and the same will happen to him.
First time listening to it too thanks to you. And, it is good. But as always, guitar solos are not as effective as they were in their first album especially. They downgrade that aspect album after album unfortunatly. But still it is good. BVB is a band I like a lot. Have all their albums and listening to them weekly. You should listen to “Smoke and Mirrors”. It is a bonus track, that should have NEVER been a Bonus track lol. Soooooo good and epic right from the very beginning till the end. Only Japanese people had it on their physical album on SHM-CD. That’s a shame. Like a lot of other albums, Had to buy it for this bonus track. That’s worth it, it is amazingly good. That’s life. Thanks for your reaction guys! Take care!
Hey guys, not sure if you take recommendations off of the comments or only patreon ones but I do have a suggestion to make. Let me start by saying I loved your reaction 🫡 I wanted to suggest you to check and of my fav bands because I think you’d like them. They called Blind website and the songs I think you’d like the most are Balboa, Alive Or Only Burning (even tho this one doesn’t have a MV), their cover of Left Outside Alone, Enemy for Me, Not Your Bro and Where’s The Exit. Hope you’ll react to at least one of them, or just simply check them out 🥰
