📹 Sex before marriage was the worst thing I did to my mental health..…here’s why.
Dating, sex, when to have it, to have it at all, wondering if the person you just started dating is having it, when it it normal to ask to …
I’m not religious and don’t like to be so strict as to say no sex at all before marriage. However, I do hate how much of the dating world nowadays is focused on sex, instead of goals and longtime partnership. I have always been selective with whom I share my body with, and even more so in the last 3 years and it has been amazing. I know my value and will not put myself in situations I’m not comfortable with and walk away from things that don’t fit the vision of future I have for myself. I see sex as a very vulnerable and powerful exchange of energy and don’t feel comfortable sharing it with just anyone.
Coming from a religious background, I’ve had to deal with this issue all my life where i couldn’t really date some guys i really wanted because they couldn’t understand my decisions. It turned out well because it removes the guys who never wanted anything serious anyways. Turns out what i truly wanted was to find someone who would love me first for who i am as a person and respected my choices, then the obvious (physical), in that order. They are out there and i found mine (and I’m not optimistic person at all- I’d rather be alone than with the wrong person). Love your talk and yes you are a beautiful girl but making sure someone loves for who you are as a person, for your mind, your likes/dislikes and wants to make your life his, i have no doubt you’ll find what you are looking for!! Truth is many women get lost in a guy but it shouldn’t be like that, it works both ways and what you’re really trying to find is someone who makes you better and vice versa. Great talk 👏…wish more girls understood this.
