Brides Across America (BAA) is a non-profit organization that has been providing free wedding gowns to active military and first responder brides since 2008. The organization has partnered with bridal salons across the US to help them fulfill their dreams. BAA selects military winners through a nomination process, and service members or their loved ones can submit their stories.
To honor Veterans Day, one lucky military bride will receive a gown and accessories valued at up to $3,000. Brides must be active military personnel or be marrying the equivalent. BAA has matched up 24,000 brides with donated wedding dresses and arranged free weddings for 22 couples. To participate, either the brides or their spouse must be a first responder, veteran, or spouse of one of these people.
BAA holds its nationwide gown giveaways twice a year in partnership with bridal salons across the country. In November 2024, the salon will partner with BAA to give free wedding dresses to military and first responder brides. The next giveaway will take place on November 10-13, 2022.
Brides for a Cause partners with BAA every July and November to offer free wedding dresses to local military brides, first responders, and COVID healthcare workers during the annual “Operation Wedding Gown” events held at over 60 bridal salons around the country. Ten deserving couples were selected to experience a VIP appointment at the Vera Wang showroom in New York City on October 11, 14, and/or 15, 2019.
Brides Across America was born out of a realization that the country needs to do more to support our troops and their families. By donating a $20.00 tax-deductible donation, you can enter the event and receive a free wedding gown, veil, headpiece, and shoes.

Our garments are a gift of love from a bride and a seamstress to honor a precious baby and their family.
