What is the timeline in Love Is Blind?

The experiment has three parts. The dating period lasts 10 days. After getting engaged, couples go to a resort for a week to build their connection. For the last few weeks, they live together while planning their weddings. Creator Chris Coelen said it was scary as a producer because no one is required to get engaged or married. On Married at First Sight, you sign up and get married to a stranger. Nobody had to do anything here. You find someone or choose someone. That’s scary. They don’t have to get married, he told Variety.

It starts with speed dating. Cast members spend eight to 10 minutes with each person of the opposite sex. We have to set time limits at the start so everyone gets a chance to talk to everyone else.

  • Shane is using Natalie as an emotional punching bag for the emotions he can’t process within himself. It’s almost looks like he wanted to push Natalie to apologize and feel bad about herself. Natalie really liked him, and it shows she has considered all his feelings. But it just seems Shane wants to have this emotional choke hold on her— I hate that!

  • This was so uncomfortable to watch. Just from the snippets we heard on the show, he told Natalie he hated her & she was the worst thing to happen to him, & she felt scared of him at the alter. I can’t imagine any situation where I’d say these things to my partner, much less turn around & blame them for my words/actions. People with anger issues, substance abuse & mental health problems do that. Shayne is toxic, Natalie needs to cut contact entirely.

  • This is the a great example of a guy doing something wrong, brushing over the fact it was 100% his fault and then when she starts crying trying to get her emotions out because he emotionally bulldozed her he gaslights her into getting her to admit much more fault than she deserves. If there was ever a guideline for emotional manipulation and a template for a grandiose narcissist.

  • I learned early on that Shayne was a “words of affirmation” kinda guy. After he proposed to Natalie and the guys were asking him why he chose her, his response was “because she told me that I was her number one and I like that”. Shouldn’t his answer have been some thing like I love her personality she’s so funny XYZ ? instead he liked her because she was able to stroke his ego. And once she stopped doing those things a.k.a. being (jokingly) sarcastic, he took offense to that.

  • Damn, she apologizes for her part in the breakdown of their relationship and his immediate response is “so you don’t feel bad about anything you’ve done?” Gaslight much?? That smirk on Shane’s face at the end when he said “I’m f$cking sad.” Girl, you dodged a bullet! Process that pain and move on, you deserve better.

  • I understand Shayne had valid reasons for being frustrated, and although he says he takes most of the blame, he also seems to imply that it was her who “pushed” him to say to her, “I hate you”, and “You’re the worst thing that happened to me.” He has every right to feel frustrated but the words he chose to use to express his frustration were toxic. Natalie is not at fault for the words he said. He could have expressed his anger and hurt in a healthier way like, “I’m really frustrated right now because I feel like you’re always saying negative things about me,” or whatever.

  • Natalie definitely dodged a bullet with him. She was so genuinely invested and he clearly wasn’t even from the beginning, in the pods. He clearly has a lot of insecurities that he needs to work through which is probably why he was constantly seeking validation from her. And the fact that he’s gaslighting her like this is absolutely disgusting. He’s the one who said all of those mean things to her. He should be the one apologizing.

  • This was a huge FAIL.. Netflix should have made a provision for counselling because some of these people are extremely unstable emotionally and they will cause irreparable damage that will scar the others for life. This was hard to watch. Not fun at all. My heart goes out to Natalie and Deepty. Awful awful 😞 😢

  • Honestly, Natalie didnt really have anything to apologize for… the whole time she was talking she said “WE have communication issues” and never threw Shayne under the bus or even singled him out. Yet he takes it upon himself to play the victim and bully her into an apology. He’s a really manipulative person

  • This guy is a total fraud. I feel like he wasn’t happy when he first met natalie in person but kept it going for the show. Then when it came time for the actual wedding he had a meltdown and said he hated her the night before to push her away. But since he didn’t wanna be the bad guy he acted like he’d still marry her, making her the antagonist by saying “no”. And NOW trying to manipulate her into that role again by making her apologize. Then when he realizes her apology is actually sincere, he has a dumbfounded expression probably thinking “how do I get outta this and still look good without accepting the apology?” He straight up watched her cry with her heart on her sleeve and when the host asked what he’s thinking right now he smiled??? Sociopath fr.

  • Shayne is so immature. He just wants MORE AND MORE AND MORE. No matter how much she gives him compliments and apologizes and tries to work things out. He just needs reassurance 24/7. It must be unbearable to have a relationship with someone SO INSECURE like this. He liked Shaina because she wanted to play his game. But seriously, what he needs is a THERAPIST, not a partner right now. Nobody should be responsible for somebody else’s self-esteem.

  • I will forever be so uncomfortable by Shayne’s communication style. He just talks really fast and dominates every second of silence to try to take control of the situation and make himself look better. Natalie clearly needed to pause because she was getting emotional and needed to collect herself before continuing and for him to just be like “So you’re just not going to apologize for anything?!”… like she was about to (not that she should, nothing she said was worth him saying the things he said to her) but you don’t give her the floor when you’re feeling vulnerable. Homie needs a therapist on speed dial to help him understand that his self worth can’t rely on external validation.

  • I think Shayne has some insecurities he needs to work out. At the end of the day, I feel like their communication styles don’t fit. Natalie throws out playful jabs but Shayne takes them personally, not as a playful jab but as a critique. Best of luck to both of them. But hopefully he can stop making Natalie cry, she doesn’t deserve that.

  • I feel so sorry for Nathalie that she – because of the programme’s structure had to show up and face Shane. IMO he seems to be very toxic, and has emotionally manipulated her. Even on the honeymoon they talked about Shane thrives of other people’s energy, and Natalie also said then that he drained her energy. He definitely has shown narcissistic traits. I hope that she after this went no contact so that she never has to deal with ever again.

  • Love this show. It’s a class in what red flags to look for. However a huge red flag in many toxic relationships is love bombing, where the other person showers you with affection very early on in the relationship to reel you in. Unfortunately in a show like this that means many can end up married to a toxic person and realize too late due to how quick everything has to happen. It sickens me to think that Natalie may be married to Shayne right now if he didn’t blow up the night before the wedding.

  • To be honest I think they both have their own faults although I don’t like that Shayne takes responsibility but doesnt say sorry and puts alot of blame on her for the failure of the relationship when I think they both had a hand in it. She’s the only one who apologizes .But also I think I’m glad they broke up because staying in a toxic relationship os always bad for and hurts the people involved. Edit: Okay I thought about what Natalie’s faults could even possibly be after all personally I don’t think she was the big problem in the relationship, so really the only fault of hers I can think of was probably falling in love with Shayne.

  • Ugh. I’m so tired of women being held responsible for a man’s deep insecurities. She didn’t do anything wrong! That’s the only thing she needs to learn. She’s allowed to be herself, make very innocent remarks, and not have to pay for that. This guy was never going to be satisfied with the way she treated him because it was never about that to begin with.

  • First thing I noticed about Shayne is how different he acted around Natalie as oppose to Shaina. With Nathalie he acted more mature and emotionally involved and with Shaina it was just sexual and playful. That made him look kinda too faced. I do think he loves Natalie but she’s too mature for him. And I really don’t like how he keeps gaslighting and guilt tripping her! She was ready to change her whole personality for him just for him to keep gaslighting her. She deserves better!

  • He would emotionally exhaust me. I don’t think he sees the gravity of his words: I hate you and you’re the worst thing that ever happened to me. Who would trust the new love of someone who says something like that? She had no choice but to say no IMHO. She perhaps dodged a bullet. Shayne still cannot except responsibility of the gravity of his outburst. She is crying because she did love him and was going to marry him. One day she’ll know she was saved from something much worse.

  • I don’t think he should have been on the show so soon after the death of his father. I do not condone or excuse his behavior but grief manifests itself in a lot of ways. It’s hard to believe this is not “normal” behavior for him because it seems to come so naturally. But his grief could have taken it too another level in ways he is not even aware of.

  • Bro you crossed the line, when you flip out, become disrespectful and say hurtful shit, that creates wounds. it dirties the relationship and changes the feel and dynamic of the relationship. There’s nothing wrong with what you’re feeling, but there is wrong ways to handle them. To the cast, thank you for putting yourself out there. I struggle with this same stuff and it’s very enlightening to see it in other people. Break ups suck. Hope they all figure themselves out

  • When you have to make yourself small to accommodate someone else in your life … they just don’t fit. Natalie’s decision was good. I hope she stops second guessing herself. Shayne acts like he is a prize. No one is a prize. But if humility, vulnerability and love is a starting point that I don’t think he has as his qualities. I wish he would grow up and recognise that cause it looks like he is losing a really amazing woman more than twice in this preview

  • Let us not forget that he was drinking and pissed off that he was not hitting the ball on the field. He was angry that Sal was hitting the balls and not him. So he went back to Natalie ready to have an argument, taking out on her his insecurities. They do not need to be together; they both would be unhappy. I am very happy she said no.

  • I literally talked about this in my IG stories from the pods stage, him saying “I feed off of people’s energy” and the constant need for validation and praise just felt like an emotionally draining person. He hasn’t done the work to fill those insecurities and know that he’s whole without external validation. What he needs is far from the healthy words of affirmation. He gets his energy from people and not himself. How exhausting that must be for him and anyone he associates with.

  • I think that part of Shane’s problem isn’t something he’s doing purposefully I think that he like a lot of other people growing up need help stabilizing his emotions and understanding what he’s trying to say and a way to verbalize it and I hope he figures that out I in no means thinks he’s a terrible person

  • Based on his mannerisms, I sincerely believe Shayne has an undisclosed or undiagnosed disability. I think he was teased by it growing up that created major insecurity within himself. He possibly overcame much of it and he seeks validation as much as possible. Thus, gaslighting anyone and placing blame on them when he doesn’t hear what he wants to hear. .

  • The men are clearly pissed. Shayne will never deserve because he missed his chance. I truly hope he works on himself and become the man he can be. I want to see him reach his full potential. Natalie does not deserve someone that has to make her feel small to feel good about themselves. She is the full package and she better know it and own it. Letting him gaslight her into apologies will only ruin her self esteem. She needs to stand tall on her decision because I think it saved her life. He was definitely going to run her into the ground.

  • I don’t know this man, but I can tell you that his behaviour reminded me SO MUCH of my abusive ex. Anyone seeing this…watch out for these people. I would bet money that Shayne is emotionally and verbally abusive. He’s clearly insecure and he takes out his issues on others. I saw it from the beginning, major red flags.

  • The best thing I learned in a boundaries course I did is that you are ONLY responsible for your actions, emotions, feelings, thoughts and words. No one else’s! So no Natalie, his response to whatever you said is not your responsibility. Sure, you may have done better by communicating more thoughtfully and kindly/being more considerate etc but you did not ‘push’ him to be verbally abusive! He chose that response and it it HIS responsibility. Take ownership ONLY for what is in your ‘yard’ which is your words, thoughts, emotions, feelings and actions. Let him do the same.

  • I really hope Natalie gets to read these comments. The way Shayne makes her feel and how he normalises his aggression towards her is terrible. It can be hard to see when you’re on the inside of that because there are real feelings there. I am frustrated that the producers are still letting Shayne procure this toxic narrative….blah!!! Enough is enough.

  • Natalie made the right decision, he is very immature, wants constant compliments. He would get mad for the most absurd things, like when she was making jokes. Even now she is apologizing when he was the one who treated her like shit the day before the wedding. She dodged a bullet, it was going to turned into an abusive relationship.

  • Natalie is (and I hate saying things like this but it seems to ring true here) more emotionally intelligent and mature than Shayne is. Shayne and Natalie are just not compatible and it is a good thing they did not get married. Emotional stability and maturity should be more equal but it’s not the case with them. And this is more biased but, I did not really like Shayne from the get go anyways mainly due to the lack of maturity as a whole. It’s good to be outgoing and silly/goofy etc. but without maturity and self-awareness you won’t get far in the dating world. Sad though for Natalie because she clearly is still feeling hurt.

  • It’s frustrating to me to see no one call Shayne out on his crap. He’s blaming Natalie for his own insecurities. His style of communication goes beyond just needing affirmations from your partner, it’s seems abusive to me what he does to her, he’ll start a crazy argument then flip it to make her feel guilty about not being able to constantly reassure him about his own insecurities when she’s already affirmed many times how she felt so strongly for him. I just think he needs to work on himself first so maybe he can have a better relationship. Wish the best for all of them.

  • I watched the entire reunion and I dont understand all of these hate comments against Shayne. He was wrong. But also Natalie was wrong. As she said there was no bad guy in this story. Only a big sad misunderstanding and bad communication. Clearly Shayne love language is words of affirmation. And Natalie didn’t get it. On top of that, Shayne used the worst way possible to express his frustration. I just hope that both will find a solution because I still feel like they were a great couple 🙁

  • Shayne has a number of insecurities he was obviously getting triggered by Natalie pointing it out by joking about it. I do remember Natalie saying “Are you fishing for compliments?” Natalie could not hold space for Shayne in his moments of insecurity (which isn’t necessarily her job) and Shayne needed to look within himself to see where it is coming from. Which he didn’t… he proceeded to put the blame on her instead. He needs to look within himself to grow from this :/

  • This clip makes me not want to watch this show again. It’s straight up emotional manipulation and if it’s not called out for what it is during the reunion then Netflix is giving assholes like this a platform to normalize their abuse. “I lashed out aggressively at you because of you.” .. First step in an abusive relationship. Honestly this shit is triggering and not entertainment.

  • Shayne is definitely wrong and a gaslighter, but one thing people aren’t considering is that maybe his love language is just words of affection. You have to love people in the way that they want to be loved, but he did a poor job of making that known before hand. I do think however he is mostly insecure but Natalie also wasn’t the most considerate person, so I don’t agree with making her into an angel of any sort

  • I’m sorry but I’m going to play devils advocate, if there’s one thing I do not like it’s when someone would make shady remarks or criticism in a jokingly manner and Natalie did that a lot…..she’s is a great person and has a big heart and I do think so does Shane, he’s easily a target because he’s a big guy who expresses himself differently and comes off hostile, people need to stop condemning other people just because they seem to wear their hearts on their sleeves and comes off as an angry person, not everyone with outward anger tendency is bad or dangerous because some of you quiet and seemingly calm people are the worst.

  • Way to turn the tables and make yourself out to be the victim, when you were the aggressor. There’s a name for that…. What is it? Gaslighting? Yea I think that’s it. If I were Natalie I’d thank my lucky stars that his true colors came out in time before the wedding. They were there always but she just chose to overlook them. He’s not mature enough to be married to her. She deserves better….

  • Shayne is a guy that needs a lot of affection and reassurance. He needs someone that will build him up. Nataly is a truly sweet girl, and it’s not that she treated him like he wasn’t good enough, but it’s that she’s not a very warm or affectionate person, she’s handicapped like that. They should meet with a counsellor to show her how to treat him, and he has to understand her personality type and why she’s like that. Typically Asian cultures are not lovey dovey, that’s why she seems cold. She needs training and he needs to understand her. But ultimately, I don’t think their personalities compliment eachother. They need a lot of tools and resources to know how to treat eachother. So why doesn’t anyone talk about that obvious elephant in the room?

  • Unpopular opinion but I do believe Natalie played her part as well. She is no angel, just go back and look how she switched up her behavior towards him after the pods. Yes Shayne has MAJOR issues, but I feel like Natalie can be a little manipulative and she played on his insecurities. The only participant that seemed authentically herself, in front of & behind cameras, was Deep.

  • I know this will probably be an unpopular opinion, but… Natalie admitted to pushing him to that level. Why not show what caused Shayne to react to her the way he did. I’m not saying his reaction was right, but I’m not buying the fake tears. Nope, I’m not! Shayne needs anger management, sure, he didn’t handle it in the best way, But, she needs to be held accountable as well. I’m looking at this from a logical stance. I rewound this clip a few times and… Yeah, he told her she hadn’t apologized to him. My question is why did he have to ask her to? She couldn’t do it on her own without him bringing it up? If so, then why didn’t she? Why not show what lead up to the fall out? I saw her “jokingly” diss him on several occassions when he wasn’t sure if she was joking or not. They didn’t show what her actions were behind the scenes, or on the screen. We just saw the aftermath of his. Why is that? I say release every scene where there was conflict between them and THEN let us decide who is the narcissist. I personally think they both are. Anywho….make it fair is all I’m saying. SHOW THE TAPES!!!!!

  • Geez, I know Natalie was still very close to the whole experience emotionally at this point so it just stirred up all the feels so easily, but man, I hope over time she’s gonna look back at this and feel lucky she’s dodged a bullet. She seems the kind of person that’s self-critical and tends to look back on something and wonder, “what have I done wrong?” “what could I have I done better?” “what’s the problem with me?” etc. But in fact, there’s nothing wrong with you girl. Sure, she definitely strikes me as more serious, organized and didn’t take some jokes well, while Shayne is the carefree and goofball kind, so there’s some incompatibility issues there. But I think ultimately she just needs someone more mature, put-together, and stable so she can drop her guard, relax, and let that little girl inside of her come out (kind of like how she described how her dad makes her feel). I’ve dated a guy like Shayne before and they’re super fun and charismatic, but I personally don’t think they make a good life partner, at least not to someone like Natalie who values stability and security. It literally took me a whole year to get over that guy (I know, ridiculous), but once I did, I looked back at that relationship and wondered, what the heck was I doing?! 🙂

  • Shayne you are enough. Without pain there’s no healing. Without conflict there’s no story. You have a choice to heal or not to heal. Natalie tried to love you but when there’s open wounds you will not only destroy within but the world around you. You made a choice to put your life on a stage so please don’t become a victim. There’s people that love you and care for you. Be present for your mom and for you. Your best days are not behind you. They are ahead of you. And for the love of God leave Natalie alone and let her find her peace. God bless.

  • Anyone who has been in a relationship with someone who has covert narcissistic traits sees the crazy making in this situation. The ones who look all put together in the eyes of the world makes the other person seem crazy bc everyone else doesn’t see what they do behind closed doors. The intentional withholding of love, passive aggressive comments, emotional walls to prevent real emotional intimacy, the emotional abuse…….

  • Natalie had an impossible job! If Shane doesn’t feel good enough, he doesn’t feel good enough. No matter what she does. From the beginning on all he wanted was confirmation and he went to where he got it. Almost seemed like he didn’t care who it came from. Unfortunately, because of this wound, he’s so self-involved and vulnerable, which makes him flip in ways that are completely out of proportion.

  • Shayne you’re such a player! Natalie you have to be honest with yourself and seek help to open up. It seems that you keep your feelings hidden and closed up. You should’ve of rip Shayne and Shaina too pieces by expressing how you felt deep inside but you didn’t Perhaps, it’s your culture and how you were raise by your family but this is the real world. You will be happy with someone kind and lovable in the future. Best of luck to you! ❤️

  • Shayne is a good man too. People are not perfect, he made a huge mistake and has been asking for forgiveness for a long time. I love both of them and wish to see them together. After you get married you realize that people are raised in different environments, so it is important to understand that. They both missed on a chance to be happy. Chris and Michelle had much worse arguments but they worked out because they want to get married. That’s the problem in today’s world, people give up too easily. I can see that both Shayne and Natalie are hurt.

  • Shayne deserves some understanding too tbh. Natalie would make pretty mean jokes to him constantly, like telling him to put his shirt back on at the beach, literally calling him a piece of sh*t, etc. And he told her on the show that her jokes were mean and made it clear they made him uncomfortable but she kept doing it. I’m not condoning what he said to her during their fight; what I am saying is that it was probably built up from how she treated him and finally spilled over because he’d had enough.

  • Shayne reminds me of my narcissist ex-husband. We were together for 20 years but I never knew what was wrong with him, I always felt I had to give him compliments all the time about his looks or else he will asked me “am I handsome or attractive?”. He made me apologized to him all the time even when I wasn’t the one that was wrong. I never knew about narcissist personality until I went to therapy 4 years ago. I finally had the strength to leave him… His cheating n lying were the worst! Natalie run!!! You will find someone better, you’re beautiful and young! ❤️ Never waste your time with a man like Shayne.

  • I’m so confused, in the show wasn’t it said that Shane said ” I hate you, you are the worst thing that ever happened to me” during their argument the night before the wedding!!!! How on earth did Natalie bring that out of him, and so what if he was drunk, I believe people say what they truly feel when they are drunk. She truly dodged a bullet, she deserves much better.

  • Unfortunately what I figured would happen did. Alot of the women on this season were playing games not being honest about how they really felt. Natalie was being verbally negative towards him and this showed emotional immaturity. Saying sorry doesn’t take back hurtful words. I’ve found that when a mate can’t compliment you properly there are underlying issues that are usually rooted in their family. I felt like Shania only accepted proposal to stay on longer and realize that her actions would get her in trouble. Mallory played with Salvador heart. She was very disrespectful to him and so was Jarrette. I’ve used this style of dating and it is hard if there are religious, political or physical differences. Yes allowing someone to get to know you first without everything opens a new perspective but in the end not being equally yoked will always be the deal breaker. What the women and men should of done is taken heed to the red flags. Use their intuition and communicated clearly the deal breaker. In doing so you are not wasting anyone’s time.

  • I like season 1 reunion better. From the start this reunion was set to create tension and drama. I mean season 1 reunion began with “where are you guys now?” this season is just “what happened?” All the cast haven’t gotten over what happened whereas in season 1, except for Amber and Jess issue, everyone seemed to have moved on in life.

  • Shane needs therapy. He is clearly insecure and hurt. He is projecting all his hurt and insecurities onto her, trying to make her solve all his problems. Shayne, that’s not how it works.. and until you realize this, you’ll never be happy or fulfilled in any kind of relationship until you mend the one with yourself. Natalie, it hurts now, but you know you deserve better. Don’t let him manipulate you into feeling responsible for his mess.

  • The abuser always blames the victim. So in his mind it was Natalie’s fault that he treated her so abusive. I wouldn’t be surprised, after his drunken low at Fenway, if the abuse had a physical moment. It looked, to me, like Natalie had the typical reaction of an abused woman. She took or shared the blame in her own abuse because she must be at fault to make him abuse her, be it physically or emotionally/verbally. I wish she had the strength to flat out share it with the world, but perhaps the time is too soon for her. He is a narcissist who expects worship and praise at every breath. He needs professional help and she was blessed to have escaped with her life. This show needs to seriously screen their contestants way better. At the very least, no more bi-polar people as in season 1 and no abusive narcissists either. Please get more professional staff to screen. That is not entertainment, it is sad, reality horror.

  • My humble opinion about each one of the participants : SHAYNE : seems to be a bad person but he is not. He felt trapped, and most of those who were lost between two girls, I felt like the public was really judgemental and mean towards them. He is like a BiG kid, he’s respectful to woman, he has a really big heart and have deep self esteem issues. He is lie a teddy bear lookikg for some comfort from a woman who will love him inside out. Nathalie is too wise and too calm for him. KYLE : is a beautiful man, he handled the whole situation real good and he deserves all the best. He is a REAL men. SHAKE : need to see a doctor, he is a true narcistic and need to treat himself. The other latino guy : he lacks of emotional maturity and not ready to settle down with a woman. He is lost. The girls : NATHALIE: I don’t understand how she thought or felt that Shayne loved her. I never felt any chemistry or love between of them I felt lkke Natalie was dellusional and Shayne was with her because he did not feel good enough and had no choice but asking her to marry him. DEEPTI : SHE knew shake was an asshole and had so many red flags, she was hoping for something and shake gave her that ….he told her what she wanted to hear and then just returned to be the real shake. Too bad…. SHAYNA : she LIKES shayne and she WANTS him, period.

  • Wow! He has victim blamed her since the pods. So, she didn’t stroke his ego it caused him to be belligerent towards her. I don’t care if we didn’t get the full hours of tapping but you can he has issues. Something isn’t right up there-He is so in the wrong, continues to make her feel bad at the reunion just blows my mind. He does not deserve her or anyone matter of fact. Wake up call to go seek help.

  • I feel like they just weren’t meant for each other. Yes Shayne did some shady things but I feel like Natalie wasn’t listening to him as a person. He would say he’d like to be complimented and she’d say he’s stupid and things so I had an intuition that they weren’t going to work out. Both need some work and I wish them both happiness

  • My impression of Shayne is a more positive one than I think others have, and that is he’s just this big golden retriever boy energy 😂 but I realized really early on that he has this really bad anger problem. I know what it looks like because I’ve dealt with anger my whole life, and I’ve been the way he his before. You cannot let you anger and insecurity project onto someone else, especially the way that he ended up gaslighting Natalie. He may have some kind of ADHD, not to diagnose anyone. And I don’t mean to speak for someone else, but the way Shayne could not even talk about it and was speechless was insane. His emotions made him completely speechless, and I KNOW HOW THAT FEELS. But YES, Natalie is better without him because all he’s going to do is expect words of affirmation while disregarding his own. I believe he is confused about he feels about the insults he’s said to Natalie, because one minute he’s remorseful for what he said and the next he’s not. I feel really bad for both of them, and I hope they find the happiness and help that they need.

  • The comments are CONFUSING ME! Did I watch a different show when I heard Natalie frequently put him down verbally or… I mean, Shayne’s appetite for external validation and words of affirmation does feel insatiable but I really don’t get the sense Natalie knows how to even affirm herself let alone him. The things she had said were hurtful and I feel her apology is genuine but it will take Shayne time to accept this and move on. I don’t feel it is right to demonise either of them for that.

  • I have no idea why people are defending shane and saying natalie’s in the wrong for playful teasing. So many people do that in all types of relationships, it’s so common. He’s just way too fragile about it. I think he has issues with self love and has a constant need for validation from others to feel whole. That’s why he’s constantly get upset about it, and that’s 100% a him problem and not her problem. I knew he was a bad guy ever since he gaslit her at the beginning of the show, that just pissed me off so much and that showed so much of his character already. I honestly don’t know why she forgave him after that happened, I was really surprised and thought she was gonna reject him. I would’ve been done if a guy treated me like that. I feel so bad for natalie though, I hope she’s healing. He and Shake should both see a psychologist.

  • He really reminds me of my ex, who absolutely drove me crazy and made me feel that I was talking to the wall. Being with someone like him is going to drain your energy and mental health…+makes your face age on steroids. been there, done that. I’m so glad that he’s just my ex and I’m pumped that Nat is not with him any longer. Imagine she married a guy like him……I’m not saying he is evil but he has a lot to work on………

  • Shayne needed to go to therapy before coming on the show so that he could figure out who he was. He needed so much validation and he dished out so much fakeness and ‘played’ so much, but it was really him hurting on the inside and looking for validation, which was not fair to Natalie. Then calling her out when HE just thought he was talking to Shaina and called HER the wrong name. Natalie got beat down so many times and SHE has to apologize? Even now on the reunion? No, Shayne, just no.

  • Natalie made the right decision for sure!!!! Shayne needs to grow up, learn what love truly is!!! Natalie deserves far greater than him!!!!! She’s right when she says, as she walked gone the isle with her wonderful father, she felt secure and safe!! Clearly she doesn’t have any of that from Shayne!!! It’s empowering to see these women take charge and not settle!!!!!

  • Everyone is so quick to call shayne a narcissist when reality tv shows an edited version of the events. He may be one, but I just think that he was a broken and insecure man who needed to mourn the death of his father before ever stepping on this show. And Natalie needs to work on her communication style too because words can hurt (as she saw when he said those terrible words to her the night before the wedding).

  • Shane has his flaws but at a point I gained some respect for him cause he made his choice and declared that. Also he was honest to Nataly when Shayna said they were fake. I didn’t get that fake vibe. I feel she was just jealous. Shayne tried to clean up and but her evil eyes tells all. I don’t like her personally.

  • Okay he reminds me of my ex so much. He said the exact same thing as I don’t feel like I’m good enough for you. No you weren’t good enough for me to be honest. You were too emotional and had so much anger towards yourself. Sort your shit out first before you jump into a relationship please. Now I’m getting to know the fact that people are not getting pissed off as easy as you did.

  • We all know Shayne is not a bad person but he got some problems to be fixed for sure. Natalie was defending him this whole time in front of cameras and people. I dont get why shayne is mad at her 🤦‍♂️. I saw some people on this comment section blaming natalie with bs, yall delulus or what??? Got no friends??? Cant handle small jokes??? Easily get offended??? Make things up everytime???

  • The producers of this show are not responsible for how these couples turn out or how they treat each other, but surely they have to know that Shayne and Natalie’s relationship is the definition of toxic. I mean, maybe don’t promote the fact that your show has potentially created borderline abusive relationships. I think a lot of people are hurting for Natalie after perusal her go through this relationship. I just wish someone would reach out to her and offer her some emotional support. It’s entertaining until someone gets hurt. Hopefully we can see some support for Natalie in the reunion.

  • Shayne does not deserve Natalie. The whole clip he spoke and said absolutely nothing. While her few sentences were concise and considerate. She’s more invested in the relationship than he was, Shayne is pretty shallow. I liked him because Natalie was so happy with him but no qualities of his own are admirable in my opinion

  • But on a serious note, Shaine’s outburst was probably too extreme and Nathalie didn’t deserve it. But, I think she didn’t understand his love language, he sounds like the person who wants to hear compliments and be reassured ( verbal affirmations ) which she didn’t do or instead made fun of him for fishing for it. Maybe it was a trigger for him… goes deeper. But they probably better off not getting married. The LIB experience definitely works for some people, but others need time and couple’s therapy should recommended for next season.

  • Shane look so worn out and miserable They both love each other and it’s so obvious. In the normal relationship every couple goes through this or worse but they still forgive each other because of the love and time they put in their relationship. These people have not invested enough time and it is not easy to put all their feelings on camera. Natalie had never complained about Shane until the wedding eve but he was drunk. In this short review you could see how miserable he was when Natalie started crying I think they will make A lot of people are rooting for them After all tne negative reviews he did not come and say anything not like our “hero” Shake 😅

  • Shayne is incredibly insecure. You can even see it at his bachelor party when he got all bent out of shape because he struck out. Natalie made the right decision. You don’t just get to tell someone you hate them and they’re the worst thing that’s happened to you and continue on as if nothing happened.

  • Waiting for the spinoffs “Love is Blurry”, “Love is Deaf”,”Love is Dumb”,”Love is Short-Sighted”, “Love, There’s Something Wrong with My Eyes”, “Love at the Optometrist” and “Love, Have You Seen My Glasses” . Come on people, let’s brainstorm some good titles. ***suggestions from family members: “Love, I Like the Show Host Better than You”, “Pirate Love with an Eye Patch Arrrrr”, “Love and Eye Drops”, “I Love You More When I Can’t See You”, “Love, Before and After Eye Surgery”

  • I understand his point, I also have a physical preference and have to be attracted to the person BUT the way he was belittling Deepti. Nope, he def didn’t deserve her, she’s beautiful and awesome and he should’ve ended things because that would’ve been the decent thing to do. I’m so glad she chose herself. ❤ He was on the wrong show.

  • Omg. So spicy. What a reunion it’s going to be. Love seeing Nick & Vanessa keeping it real. Deepti is BEAUTIFUL… she literally looks like a Disney princess. Shake is average or less physical attractiveness and seems to have a lot of internalized racism against his own skin colour and those like it. He’s a gross loser. Grow up, Shake!!!

  • 1.there are tens of dating apps and dating opportunities in real life that put physical attraction first, so if thats very important to you, or if you have strong preferences in what physical characteristics you want, you can go with them. you go to this experience assuming the partner can be thin, thick, tall,short,.. and yes maybe you match and then dont find them attractive (mallory and sal ) that is ok!!but in case of him he was searching for specific physical type from the very beginning DUDE YOU ARE ON THE WRONG SHOW 2. Dont find them attractive, fine! Break it up then ! dont grab their ass and tell them you want to get them pregnant. Or maybe you Find them attractive at first and then changed your mind again fine talk to them first! Dont go behind their back, talk about how they remind you of your aunt (on TV) acting like they are beneath you!

  • I agree with Shake on Shaina possibly using Kyle to continue on the show. I find it nerving when people use illogical categorical propositions like Nick’s statement “NO ONE thinks like you. You’re hurting people.” Like Shake said a lot of hurtful things throughout the show, but that was not remotely one. A lot of people did think Shaina used Kyle. Also, in my opinion he was one of the realest ones on the show. He was even right about how attraction works and you can see this throughout the show. Shaina definitely wasn’t attracted to Kyle. Sal had to grow on Mallory when she saw his appearance. Etc

  • I can’t stand him. When Deepti came down the aisle looking like a straight Goddess all he said was, “You look hot!” No woman wants to be told they look hot on their wedding day…beautiful, gorgeous, stunning – yes absolutely, but hot? Hell no – just feels icky. He’s so shallow and doesn’t realize that looks fade and what really matters is what’s on the inside.

  • The only point that I agree with him about is that love is not always blind and an emotional connection really isn’t always enough. Nick’s arguments are wrong bc the point of this show is to experiment whether love CAN be blind and for Shake, that’s obviously not possible (he might be better off going to a brothel to satisfy his ~ animalistic ~ hunger), and that in itself is a valid stance. Obviously, it doesn’t help that he didn’t really try after the pods and actively disparaged his fiancé’s appearance, but better couples have also tried and failed. It’s just unfortunate that the perspective is coming from the smelliest vegetable in the garden. The need to constantly disagree with Shake just because he’s insufferable is very tempting though.

  • Shake seriously played himself out of a QUEEN. You keep saying you wanted the emotional connection, you had literally everything, but the physical attraction? How could you NOT see how beautiful she is? Shake you must be blind. I’m soooo glad Deepti chose herself and not settled. She deserves a king that matches her on EVERY level.

  • I was so happy when Deepti made her decision. I don’t hate Shake but to see someone—a woman, specifically—being so secure with herself and so not desperate that she did not settle for someone who has been treating her as Shake did was refreshing. And she was totally classy with how she handled it. She wasn’t mean to him, she didn’t insult him, she maintained her dignity. Bravo.

  • Nothing wrong with what Skake is trying to say which is looks matter, if we’re all being honest here, 99% of us agree, but the way he dragged their relationship knowing he wasn’t attracted to her & basically calling her ugly to everyone behind her back was the shady part. He should’ve been upfront & tell her that he’s not attracted to her instead of trying to build something on emotional connection which is not number one priority for him.

  • Nick got him all the way together. No wonder you treat animals were human beings. Again if you didn’t like her physical appearance you should’ve just broken up with her right after the pods. And you were superficial for the beginning shake asking women all these questions about their physical appearance all the women were put off by this I’m surprised Deeps gave you a chance

  • Deepti is such a queen 👸 glad she said no to this guy. Sounds like he’s so shallow he can’t see or hear what anyone is trying to tell him. He is insecure and has major red flag issues. No girl should be dating him tbh 😂 He’s also rude and disrespectful to Nick saying he’s only attracted to Nick’s WIFE! Smh 🤦🏻‍♀️

  • I think some of you are missing why some folks are turned off by Shake. He is not the first person on the show who wasn’t physically attracted to their pick once they actually saw each other in the flesh. You like what you like, and it’s not a crime. Most folks take exception with the way he handled it. He went on and on about not being attracted to her to the other cast mates versus being an adult and just being honest with her. He tried but he couldn’t turn the attraction switch on. He should’ve cut it off once he realized that his feelings were not changing. She would’ve been hurt but she would’ve respected it. I can’t imagine being her sitting on that couch and perusal all the stuff he was saying to others behind her back. Very cowardly. Also just because you say it with a smile does not make it less offensive Shake.

  • Funny thing is I get what he’s trying to say but he’s saying it completely wrong LMAO! I agree that it’s not just emotional but physical too, there needs to be a physical attraction with your mate because if it’s just emotional then they may as well just be friend, you should want to kiss your partner, etc etc. but he’s making it sound like physical is the only thing that matters to him where there should be both for your ideal partner

  • Nick was like hold up wait a minute NOT my wife you are looking at. Nick shut him down after that last comment. Team Lachey! But I do understand having a preference. You are attracted to who you are attracted to; however, Shake seemed closed minded from the beginning of the show. That is the difference and the issue.

  • Shake is the only honest person in that show. Sharing and having guy talk and expressing his thoughts and feelings to the other guys isn’t “disrespectful” to Deepti. If anything he’s seems to be looking or asking for help because he liked her personality so much. Love or “dating” is NOT blind, just look at Sals situation, she wasn’t attracted to him and that’s what killed the relationship. If Golum came out the door YOU ladies would have an issue with that too. Shake tried Love is Blind in hopes that she would be beautiful or at least not obese. Nothing wrong with that. He was honest and brave enough to express himself, but the self righteous assholes who happen to end up with pretty people had to act all high and moral.
