How many carat is Princess Diana’s ring?

Diana and Charles got engaged in February 1981. Her engagement ring had 14 diamonds and a 12-carat blue Ceylon sapphire set in white gold. It was made by Garrard. The design was inspired by Queen Victoria’s sapphire-and-diamond cluster brooch, a wedding present from Prince Albert in 1840. Victoria wore it as her something blue that day. Diana’s choice of this ring was unusual. It wasn’t custom-made or unique. At the time of her engagement to Charles, it was in Garrard’s jewelry collection and available to anyone for purchase. The media said Diana chose it because it reminded her of her mother’s engagement ring. Others said she chose it because it was big. Diana kept the ring even after her divorce from Prince Charles. • You do not know what you are talking about calling Camilla “Princess Camilla.” Only those born royal bear the rank of princess. Diana was “Diana, Princess of Wales,” not “Princess Diana.” However, Princess Anne was born royal and is a princess in her own right. If you don’t know the basics of royalty, why are you making a article? Do your research and get it right.

  • Camilla was given the Title of THE DUCHESS OF CORNWALL on her marriage to Prince Charles. She was not the Princess of Wales. She became King Charles’s lll Consort. On the day of his coronation, she was crowned Queen Consort. So, therefore, she is now formally The Queen Consort. Queen Elizabeth had said she wanted Camilla to be named Queen Camilla.

  • We will never get over it. She is just a mistress and will always be remembered as one. Charles will always be remembered as the one who ruined the real person should have been queen. She is a discrace to the monarchy. Can’t wait unit William a Katherine become king and queen. Camilla can never compete with Diana.

  • Diana feigned interest in Charles’ interests and hobbies (Balmoral, fishing hunting, etc.)—basically, she pretended to be who Camilla is, a hunting, shooting, fishing, reading country girl. Then as soon as they were on their honeymoon (most of which was at Balmoral), Diana declared each of his interests as borrrring. When the honeymoon moved on to Balmoral she would have have fits of screaming and crying when he wouldn’t do what she wanted when she wanted him to do it (the court was at Balmoral for the summer so there was official business going on and many witnesses). After the honeymoon she proceeded to, one by one, separate him from his friends (he would give in to avoid conflict with her), then his staff (who would quit because she would not look at or speak to those she wanted to leave). In her mind, she loved him, but then attempted to change everything about him, and if he wanted any kind of peace, he would comply. Diana and her family, particularly the Spencers, were very ambitious and misrepresented who she was to the RF, particularly regarding her emotional health & stability. The Spencer’s actually had a bit of a reputation for unstable men (Diana’s mom cited abuse in the divorce), but the RF didn’t think the mental issues affected the Spencer women. Diana actually refused to cooperate with mental health professionals provided by the RF when they realized how unstable she was, and wouldn’t accept mental health help for years (yes, the RF tried to get her professional help) until a friend threatened to out her bulimia to the press because she was afraid it would kill her.

  • As Queen Consort Camilla is doing a sterling job. Her husband is ill, and she has done very well by him. All this is the fault of the Royals for not finding Camilla suitable on the onset of their relationship. Had Charles not been sent to sea, she would not have married Parker-Bowles (who was courting Princess Anne) and they would have been able to pursue their love affair and marry. Diana knew of the affair from the onset, and should have called off the wedding when he went to Australia, got in touch with Camilla and not her. A red flag there! Diana was outshining Charles and it was very irksome to him, moreover they were ill suited. C&C are a much better match and are very happy together.
