📹 Carlo’s Bake Shop: Every Buddy’s Spring Cake Three Desserts In One Review
This is a taste test/review of Carlo’s Bake Shop Every Buddy’s Spring Cake Three Desserts In One. The bottom layer is raspberry …
We were in NYC last month and went to Carlo’s Bake Shop 3x! I LOVED his American Napoleon! We were staying in a Holiday Inn Express a couple blocks from Times Square. I ate one of everyday, with my fingers lol! You’d think I’d have remembered to ask for some plastic ware, especially after the 2nd trip haha! Their cannolis are delicious as well!! Thank you for the wonderful review!!
I like your idea more too!!! I do like these flavors generally speaking but not the way you described them… I would love an almond cake with custard then a cherry cake topped with a whipped cheesecake and cherry pie filling… Maybe a rum cake, creme caramel and banana cream pie… I think you are correct… too many strong flavors… for $25 I could get two flavors I know I loved…
I haven’t tried this one yet. Hope my Walmart sales this one soon. The chocolate one with the pecan pie inside is my favorite so far. Didn’t care too much for the birthday cake flavor. That one to me was a little too sweet. It just tasted like sugar. Felt like the cake, the cheese cake and the cookie taste too similar.
All holidays kind of derive from some religious form or fashion. But I just love the spirit of Christmas and Easter giving; I don’t think about the religious part of it (as I mentioned previously). I would have expected an Easter cake at Walmart (and really in Jersey too; when I lived in central Jersey, I was one of like two or three Jewish families!). I would have loved to see a pastel colored cake! That said, what happened to the king cake for Mardi Gras! No baby in the cake version last month! I guess people are trying to be careful nowadays. Thanks for the article!
Okay, no fair. Now I am envisioning you accidentally getting an Amazon box stuck to the bottom of the cake and eating it. It does look like box! I don’t really like any of the components (except the buttercream of course – I am NOT a monster – lol), but the blueberry “muffin” looking cake might be good to me. I like raspberry but not like that. I might taste the cake to be polite if someone shoved it in front of me (it looks so pretty!) but I would pass.
I don’t get putting so many flavors in one cake. You are losing out on a lot of people not buying it because they don’t like one of the flavors. Plus, it’s just way too much going on in one little cake. Would never purchase a cake like that. Sometimes less is more !! At least you guys can enjoy all the frosting 😊
