Most of the long gowns were beautiful. Beading was phenomenal. Not bridal but beautiful. Well some of them were kinda bridal. Loved the pink gown with the ostrich feathers. Mostly for the younger crowd. Last dress was probably the best one for bridal. GREAT that the models actually smiled. The KIDS WERE GREAT
Happy to see elegant and fun alternatives to traditional wedding attire. Just as brides are different sizes, not all want to or can wear white. 6:07 was a pretty alternate but the top was very ill-fitting! The models had cute personalities which I enjoyed. In most shows, they literally look to be at death’s door:) of course, the kids were darling.

the dresses are beautiful but how do the first 6 dresses constitute bridal, not even as maids dresses.. i never understood the point of long sleeves with mini dresses, it defeats the purpose of the short skirt part… #7 would be gorgeous as a maids dress.. i liked 8 – 10 also, but some of these dresses looks toooo las vegas to be bridal… the cute black dress with the silver bow at the waist would be beautiful as a prom dress or party dress.. is gold and black the only color they have?? 14 is absolutely gorgeous – best so far.. #14 what is with the almost fishtail, dress would look better without that strange ruffle.. 15 is a very cute party dress.. 16 perfect. #17 could use a little more material at the hooo ha!! if you cant bend or squat in a dress or skirt its to short!! 18 should lose the long sleeve.. 19 has perfect length for the mini skirt / dress idea, gloves need a little bling.. 20 is absolutely gorgeous but length should stop at the ankle, im surprised no one trips over the extra material, would also look fabulous shorter at the calf, knee, or even as a thigh mini.. 21 is beautiful great for a party dress.. 22 pants and top is great idea for the bride to change into after the ceremony, could also put a shear wrap over the pants to keep in with the bridal skirt aspect. 23 gorgeous, would even look great as a mini.. next 5 dresses are very nice, the pleats arent for me.. #28 is a bathing suit, its beautiful, but cant swim in it, not something to just lounge in by the pool.
After perusal these models I almost prefer the ones who look like their carved out of stone. Some looked like they were trying out for playboy with the sultry looks, some looked bored and some even looked downright pissed off. They were all extremely beautiful but some over did the looks, a couple did an excellent job. Some of the gowns were beautiful but too many didn’t seem at all bridal.
There were some very elegant gowns in this collection. I love the very soft flowing materials used in several designs. Being much more”old school” I am not as fond of displaying things I still believe should be left to the imagination. Many weddings take place in Church… The evolution of design has moved to things showing far more skin,cleavage,breast & leg/thigh in addition to the corset that used to be an undergarment support,now being the focal of many designs with boning & shear fabrics & laces over it. Seems styles are getting closer to acceptance of nudity. Next= the emperors new clothes… There was absolutely NO design considerations for average & plus sized brides. There are FAR more of us in existence. As for the Beautiful models… some looked simply pissed off @ the world & everything in it. NOT attractive in anyway. I was more focused on the arrogant appearing attitude than the dresses. The show was supposed to be about Wedding fashion. So isn’t it time to consider not using the model runway stomp & the unfriendly facial expressions when modeling these creations? Really,would you want to be @ the end of any isle saying I Do to most of these women coming @ you? A wedding is supposed to be one of the Happiest days in a persons life. A Bride is usually considered the main focal point… Shouldn’t she look the part? Happy,Regal,Overjoyed In love? My Dad designed & made wedding gowns all my life. You cant even sit in the short dresses without showing everything that should be an exclusive view only for the wedding night!!! Im no prude but good grief…a jewelled leotard and cape posing as wedding attire? Even most of the long dresses are impossible to sit in the slits are so high. there are some lovely dresses here…if onky half of the fabric for the top, bottom or middle wasnt consistently left behind 😉
This whole collection is so disjointed the dresses in the beginning were terrible and didn’t fit the theme of bridal wear however the second half of the show was in fact beautiful and fit the theme. Those girls look so ridiculous with their little stick legs, stepping cross legged to put one foot directly in front of the other in platforms! Not a bridal show. Most of the girls don’t look like haut couture models, more like “sassy young blondes from Texas, who still have their jeans and boots on under the dresses” types. I thought they looked lovely but not really a bridal show at all! I’ve not heard of this Sherri Hill, so I’m guessing she might be American?
