The whole idea behind the ring and the choice of stones and taking time to co design it is so nice, i had a tiniest engagement ring but it broke, my husband and i wear a traditional ring, but for our first anniversary he gave me a golden ring with rubies in it, when my daughter was bron he gave me a golden ring and a bigger diamond than what’s in my wedding band, the first idea was to ad an stone when kid is born or anniversary. But that would weaken my ring. When my son was bron he gifted me a bracelet gold with suns and stars. That bracelet was those charms because we are everything on earth and between the stars to him and also he almost lost us both due to a doctor foolishness. I think design if you can and dont let anyone tell you that stone is to little or what so ever, its the hart that counts because i see often what that stone is to small! Although I think the rings were put on in the wrong order; the point of the green stone would then cover the thinnest part of the diamond’s band, and the round part of the diamond would nestle against the emerald from the opposite side of the band. It looks to me that is why it gets so thin there. I have read that it is also designed to cut into her finger if she ever tries to remove it, I hope that is not true.
I think the ring, itself, is wonderfully done. Something that most people wouldn’t have even thought to do, and most are just plain afraid to gamble with. I’d prefer something with more colour (though I know diamonds can come in different colours, the birth stone is always clear). But my favourite stone is tiger’s eye, a semi-precious. I adore emeralds, and just like Kells my birthstone is also April diamonds. But my wedding set isn’t the traditional diamond solitaire. It’s completely custom made too though, with the engagement ring having a center, princess cut, 3.5 ct. natural morganite (my favorite gem stone-kind of rare too I think?) in the center surrounded by a halo of white diamonds in a pave’ white diamond band of stunning rose gold. My wedding band is an eternal circle of pave’ set white diamonds also in rose gold. All set and smelt custom to her order. What do you think? It’s very unique to me and I love it so much. But I love my wife, who surprised designed it for me, then proposed, even more ♥️🥰
As a person that came from a low income family, I always thought April was the worst birthday because diamonds are so expensive they’d end up just getting cubic zirconia. I’m an April baby and for 37 yrs I have to agree being a Diamond birthstone has been wonderful and amazing. From the most amazing gifts that are custom I’ve received throughout my life I still have every single one (I’m that person who treasures them and loves things passed down so as life would have it despite elders jewelry passed to aunts somehow being the baby grandchild out of 8 girls when I graduated high school and college they gifted me the pieces I truly wanted from great grandparents gone and I wear them to this day proudly and display them properly with photos of them wearing it.) My mother has especially enjoyed when boyfriends ask what to get me for a gift she tells them something Diamond or April pieces or Aries saying I’ll love it when her secret is not only will I love it but she always jokes it’s because it will last longer then they will which is true and hilarious. I must say I have acquired over 20 years an amazing family heirloom collection and personal collection an have also collected pieces from every color of the rainbow diamonds except purple still looking for they right piece that’s natural as well. Maybe for my birthday this year I’ll find something between now and then or get it custom made to finish my collection for my 38th birthday. Love the review articles. Seeing it flash on her hand in the article (and not just a still image) def made me warm up to it, but my first reaction was “uuuuh, what is this? 😳” bc the emerald made it feel unbalanced to me and I don’t love the contrast (green isn’t my fav). I think the stones and design are really cool. But the whole its thorns that make it painful to remove was strange. I don’t know about you but I rarely wear my wedding set. You might want to look into how it is designed to harm her when she removes the ring. The thorns apparently, I don’t know how much like if it can make her bleed but that is not so healthy from my perspective. The main thing that concerns me is that those stones are set with essentially two prongs and a V-prong. Even if it’s platinum, that can bend and the stones can easily pop out when hit at the right angle. But if she’s never gonna accidentally knock this on anything, she’s fine.
