Finally made it. 1. Be sober, that helped me alot. 2. Have full armour. If you don’t have armour there’s one right past the starting point directly after the exit out of the docks to the right in the staircase to the “triangle” building. 3. M4 at the beginning then when you have cover, Use pump-action shotgun, it one-shots at any distance in this mission. 4. Don’t forget the guy on the left so if you are low on health he will one-shot you.
I think it’s almost near impossible to beat this mission unless you get the briefcase on the dock first. I didn’t even think of that initially and the guy next to it will melt you every single time I couldn’t even squat inside that area in time. I did this one a handful of times and glad I decided to check out this article. Also didn’t know about the vehicle in the back I was trying to jump on that boat to get away 😅
This mission nearly killed me. I figured out to get briefcase on dock first, be super careful to conserve health, and like you did take the car around back. One thing is there’s a guy on the right corner of the house that is glitched. He has a shotgun and he’ll kill you if you walk around the corner so you have to make sure to kill him. Also I fucking lost it when I did pay and spray and it didn’t get rid of the stars 😂 I love this game but the fact you start out getting shot at by 10 guys without cover is just stupid.
If you get enough hidden packages there are several places where you can get the rocket launcher. The hotel, the estate and the condo by the stadium will be the places where you can get the rocket launcher. Oh, buy the condo after getting at least 70 hidden packages or the RPG will not spawn there due to some weird glitch.
did it with 100 health and 10 armor. At first go a bit left in the boat and crouch before attacking. Use a smg from left to right. Then go to the left of the wall after you are off the boat and carefully snipe everyone on the first line (2 enemies) with a smg as well as use a sniper rifle to kill the enemy on top of the house. Crouch in front of the wall (in front of the enemies that are protecting the house) and carefully kill one by one. Then take the suitcases in order from the boat to the last one near the house and then just run to the car and drive to safety. Hope it helps!

Crouching helps here and armor. I made it without the armor if you crouch. Crouching is L3. And shoot really fast. After crouching they put you from the boat on the land, two dudes shoot at you. Shoot at them and hide behind the wall. Now at the house you got one dude on the rooftop, 3 on the right side and one on the left. Take em all out, especially the one on the left. He has a shotgun. On the left, back side of the house is a getaway car.
I got it on the second try (with full health) with a controller using this method: Make sure you have full armor, throw a grenade at the guys in the middle, and kill the rest with an M4 (if you do it fast enough, you will still have some armor). After that, run to the left and kill the guy waiting for you with a shotgun. Take cover with a sniper to eliminate the remaining enemies. Once done, paint your car to get rid of the police, and you will be safe.”
The trick to beating any mission with lots of enemies that you have to go through, is ranging them. It sucks when you have to start up close, like in this one, because you can’t take cover in Vice City, and you can’t move when crouched, or roll like you can in San Andreas even. That’s why this is the hardest GTA game, along with GTA III, in terms of gameplay. If you start close to enemies, they will all be shooting at you which eats through your armor and health very rapidly.
when you’ve killed all the men, collect only the 1st briefcase on the dock, then drive the parked Landstallion to the Vercetti safehouse. get a change of clothes to get rid of the 2 stars and switch to the Infernus. drive back to the villa and collect the remaining 2 briefcases. gun it to the endpoint with a fast car that can easily outrun the cops at 4 stars. a longer route to winning the mission but i got it the first try with this strategy. kept dying driving the Landstallion bc it’s so hard to control and always flipped.
I was playing the original vice City recently and I got to this mission, and I question that even at the time of its release if anyone playtested this mission? I mean seriously the placement of Tommy after you kill the first few gangsters on the boat is so stupid! And the fact that if you don’t come prepared with ammo, you can basically just completely screw yourself.
The only way I was able to beat this mission was to take out not only the boats but everyone on the dock, too. That takes care of the guy waiting to blast you the second you are able to do anything. Then take out the guy behind the tree. Grab the suitcase on the dock and use the dock for cover while you shoot everyone else you ca see. There is one more guy by the door you have to go find and kill. I did it with no body armor and had like 19 health left. The minigun helped a lot. Also, the cops kept flipping me the second I turned onto the main Starfish Island road. It was annoying. Luckily, the second time there was a sports car coming toward me and I crawled out of the 4×4 and got in the sports car and hit the pay and spray. Then I was home free.

This made me hate the game. I played for nostalgia, because I loved the game, and fun times. But this doing this mission made me quit completely. I’ve done it before back in the day, but the least they could’ve done to keep its original form was add a checkpoint when you talk with Rico and keep the weapons or armor you bought prior. What doesn’t help is the broken aspects of the game itself amplify its brokenness. I’m disappointed honestly.
Tips from me: 1. Play calm, get cover 2. You need shotgun and armor. If you dont have armor, take it in front of (across) ship near starting point 3. When you come to the two boats, please get cover crouch first between the seat of our boat. And dont forget using shotgun and auto aim 4. Kill the nearest first, start from left and then right boat (ignore the middle crowd) 5. When it scene 2, just start kill the nearest first then get cover 6. This is the important step, take the last bag that shown on near house. If you choose to take the last bag near the boat, you’ll get a houndred shot from police and nothing chance you’ll survive.
