  • If you get some time, rent a 4×4 and take a trip up into the mountains. We drove from Ouray, up to the top of the red mountains, and down into Silverton all on back roads. There’s really some awesome stuff you can get up there and see. We did this in June and there were spots were we literally drove through snow drifts that bulldozers had plowed through. They were taller than the Jeep!

  • If you are ever in Ouray again, be sure and grab a burger from Maggie’s Burgers. They are really good! Also, next time you are in Telluride, instead of driving up to Bridal Veil Falls, hike the Bridal Veil Falls Trail. You will get three different waterfalls on one trail that is less than 2 miles in total! It is worth it. Also, another quick waterfall pay-off is on the Cornet Creek Falls Trail. The trail is a quarter-mile round trip but is a great trail!

  • Hey there would you still go to Telluride if the gondola was closed? Apparently they close it on 16 October every year for maintenance for ski season. We live in Colorado Springs and are planning to go up there in October 20 The hike looks nice they said a lot of restaurants would be close to. Have you ever been this time of year and what are your thoughts thank you
