📹 DON’T MAKE THESE BEGINNER SELF TANNING MISTAKES | TIPS AND TRICKS BY A PRO SPRAY TAN ARTIST
I have made all the mistakes or witnessed these mistakes so you don’t have too! In this video I share all the things that you do NOT …
I just wanted to comment this for other ppl who are nervous to self tan. I just did it for the first time last night. I showered right before, exfoliated with an exfoliating mitt and body wash, then shaved and let cold water run on my body to try and close my pores. Then I lotioned and started the process. I’m naturally fairly light in colour but I do tan easily. My skin type is dry. I used the loving tan platinum which is the darkest shade. It worked out perfectly. I think just while ur doing it make it fun, don’t get too nervous just have fun with it and if u naturally feel like ur skin is usually dry then apply a generous amount of lotion prior to applying. I applied lotion all over my body but by the time I started applying the tanner I already felt like that moisture had been sucked into my skin so when I got to my arms I applied more lotion right before applying the tanner and my arms look beautifully smooth and tanned. *Also, if the tanner u use tells u to wash it off ur hands after 30 min listen lol…I didn’t lmao but it’s not that bad. It will come off…anyways, don’t be nervous just enjoy the process as well as the learning process 🙂 *Edit: actually….once I went outside I was 100% a pumpkin. Looked good in my house…this girl is right about if u have fair skin then any dark dark tanners will turn orange 🍊 I’d listen to her lol and just get a medium. I’m sticking to the sun bed (only way I get a nice natural dark tan)
First off…… THANK YOU for providing so much information. Having a husband with Stage 4 Melanoma is an eye-opener and a deterrent for being in the sun in any way shape or form. I’m sure you have addressed this in your other articles but 2 questions: – body wash? -body lotion? **If what you suggest is not available what ingredients should be avoided in those two products? Thank you so much!
Great article, thanks so much! I am confused by one thing though. You mentioned that we should avoid body soaps and lotions that contain oils, but then you recommended Dr. Bonner’s unscented products which are made up of oils, almost exclusively. Can you comment on that? I think others were also confused. Thanks!
What do you do if you cant stop your armpits from sweating… just use a brush to reapply the next day maybe? Also, I wish I watched this before buying ultra dark…. I am sitting in loving tan ultra dark as I type this… Lastly does a streaky color guard mean that the tan will be streaky? No matter what I do I can’t get it even and the more I tried to blend the color would wipe itself off. So I just had to settle for patchy and see what happens in the morning…
My armpits stay really dark after I try to exfoliate my spray tan off. I get sprayed again soon for my wedding but i don’t want dark armpits for my wedding day! How can i fix this? Also after my appointment i had super dark hands. But i wash my hands often for work so it faded more quickly, but how do i stop this from the root?
