How To Make A Zoom Wedding Special?

A Zoom wedding requires careful planning and preparation, including personalizing the background, creating a virtual photo booth, and incorporating a virtual element to make the day feel more like a celebration. To make your Zoom wedding special, consider personalizing your background, using royalty-free music, and getting the camera framed around you and whoever you want.

To schedule a meeting, use various methods such as sharing the Zoom link for a meeting, inviting by phone (requires the audio conferencing plan), or inviting a room system (requires Cloud). Avoid copyrighted music and get the camera framed around you and whoever you want. Get ready with your girls by hanging out with them beforehand, even if they can’t button up your dress.

Organize a game night with personalized playing cards and organize a Zoom account for your event. Send decor, food, drinks, and/or favors in advance to put guests in the mood for a celebration. Postpone the wedding entirely until a later date, register their marriage, have the ceremony and reception at a later date, or have the entire wedding ceremony and reception via Zoom and the after party at a later date.

Be mindful about sharing pictures via social media and use long-wear, medium to full coverage foundation to control oil and minimize the need for powder. Incorporate virtual guests as much as possible, giving readings, toasts, and speeches to make the celebration feel more special.

Designate someone to be the wedding photographer and ask guests to send in their best looks. Include a dress code in invitations and add more interactive features to make your Zoom nuptials feel extra special.

  • Had Zoom wedding on 10/10/2020. Watched your articles in advance. We had some breakout sessions so guests could mingle and meet each other. Also did zoom game while we were signing paperwork. My zoom guru friend had everyone turn off cameras and then asked questions. If someone could answer yes (examples: known one of us for at least 20 years or met us in city where we currently live) they turned on camera. We also started with a 5 min article of stills and music so people could get a sense of us together since far away family didn’t know my husband that well. We saw covid as great opportunity to get married in low key way. Added Zoom to reach distant family around USA and internationally. Thanks for your tips!
