Even if they find love again, they still carry the pain of their failed relationship. They often find it hard to connect with their new partner and are unsure of their choices. The result is… The relationship never grows and is not satisfying. Divorced women take a different route. They take time to heal before starting a new relationship. • It will be a difficult pivot to change how I personally view what has happened in my marriage, but I know for sure if future me ever is fortunate enough to find a person that I would want to spend the rest of my life with again, it would be difficult to say (and especially hear) the standard vows of ’till death do we part.’

  • Not all divorces are “failures” is a fair statement, but then one must concede that not all “marriages” are “marriages” either. There are those that get married in Vegas, by a JP, by a “minister” credentialed online in minutes, or by a pastor/priest/rabbi, and they are all called marriages. Marriages are undertaken for the worst of reasons, and even those can “succeed.” I have heard people refer to marriages as “a piece of paper.” That is profoundly insulting to people who took actual vows and promised their lives together. The answer to your question is that some people are just not built for marriage, and some people are just not built for divorce. The tragedy is that they marry often, and destruction ensues. The reason it is a tragedy is because no one knows which one they are until it is too late. I like your article, you are doing great work. A man that believed in his marriage and cannot abide divorce is a man in serious trouble. Telling him “just don’t call it failure” is ok advice, but it does not resolve the deeper conflict he faces: how do you accept an outcome you cannot abide, when the outcome is beyond your control?

  • I believe it is a failed marriage because when worse came they both refused to compromise, why waist your time getting married if you don’t won’t to handle the worse when it comes, that the problem nothing tells you what the worse is going to be,learn what love is truly and apply it to each other and your chances to end for a lifetime will happen through god unconditional love❤
