Have you ever gotten pregnant using the pull out method?

The pullout method is an ancient form of contraception. The Talmud calls it “threshing inside and winnowing outside.” It is still one of the most common forms of birth control worldwide, especially in places without modern methods. It has a failure rate that is not much higher than that of condoms. 4% versus 2%. About four out of 100 women who use the pull-out method exclusively will get pregnant in a year. But real life is rarely perfect. Some men can’t tell when they’re about to ejaculate and pull out too late. Others might ejaculate over a long time instead of all at once, according to a 1970 family planning manual. Many men don’t know that the most sperm is in the first spurt of semen. This can be a problem if they’re drunk and can’t react quickly. Some men don’t pull out in time because they’re more interested in their own pleasure than a woman’s health. This means that the failure rate of coitus interruptus is between 20 and 30 percent. People in the reproductive health field don’t believe men can withdraw at the right time. There is little research on whether sperm are present in preejaculate. The best way to summarize the answers I got from doctors, journals, and schools is this: Preejaculate doesn’t contain sperm, but it might get contaminated with sperm from other places. Plus, there are leftover sperm from the last ejaculation. Eisenberg says that preejaculate usually has sperm, which can lead to contraception failure.

  • I believe in the praying aspect too. Very very well 😂 Lemme tell you a funny story about it too… My parents had me two years after they got married. Why? Because my dad randomly just said, during discussion with friends that He will not have children after marriage until he has flex his love(my mom). When the pressures became too much and my mom wasn’t getting pregnant after marriage(of course he had forgotten he ever said what he said)he went to God and started praying for children. After praying and praying, one year later God told him about what he has said in ignorance and my dad had to plead for mercy cause the pressure on my mom was getting wesser 😂 I came a year after that 😜 As a Registered Nurse, even though I’m still single like a singlet, 😅 I can proudly say you both are right!! The information is accurate and the advice is Apt 👌 I enjoyed perusal too 😁 One day one day, I’ll meet you two personally. I love how you both exude knowledge ! Thanks for sharing. 🙏 PS – The new changes on the website, hmmm… 🤔 I’m loving them 😍❤️

  • Thank you starlwart lovers for educating us. It’s actually one of the questions that bothers me, I asked you guys in your DM and the reply was very educative, thank you. I just don’t like contraceptive pills because they’ve side effects that the doctors and people are not talking about, you will notice changes in the woman’s body, they get big stomach, get fat… Seeing the changes in my mom’s body, I had to ask her, why is your stomach this big, she said it is family planning, I just hated it, she is late now, we lost her when she was going through the fibroid removal surgery. I was disturbed, I didn’t want to use contraceptive pills when I get married but I don’t know how married people prevent pregnancy without using contraceptive, I didn’t have the idea that married people use condoms until I started asking married couples, and most of them said they use condom, but the other pregnancy prevention process wasn’t mentioned. I didn’t want to go to the internet yet to search, I just wanted what couples have used and it worked for them, then I met starlwart lovers and I decided to ask you guys and the response was very educative, thank you. More research will be done when I’m close to being married, now I have idea and will seek medical advise when necessary. This is going to be part of our discussion when we are getting married, because some people can believe that married people should not use condom. Nice colour pop and great audio! 👌

  • Congratulations on your dialogue. Have heard about the Billings Ovulation Method? The Billings Ovulation Method is one of the most studied natural Method of Fertility for couples to plan their family. This Method helps the couple to observe and record the woman’s daily discharges and sensations at her vulva which indicate when she is infertile or fertile. The couple can use this information to postpone or archive pregnancy or to monitor the woman’s reproductive health.

  • Thanks for giving medical disclaimers. This is for people without kids yet who are not ready to have children and can afford to have it anyway if this doesn’t work. If the ground is already full or you really have a strong medical, physical or financial reasons to prevent pregnancy, please use appropriate contraceptives for your weight, history and medical guidance. Every body is different and despite all the ovulation tracker, use of calendar method, withdrawal methods, na 50/50. Please be advised.

  • Thank you very much for this article, it was really insightful. From a medical doctor’s point of view I would say the best thing to do is to visit a gynaecologist first to know which option is best for you. Although condoms are one of the best barrier methods, some people react to specific condoms based on the latex material it is made up of and they have a higher failure rate compared to hormonal contraceptives. Hormonal contraceptives on the other hand have their own side effects even though they have a lower failure rate so I wouldn’t dispute that. Overall I’ll advice to visit a gynaecologist with your partner to discuss the best option for you.

  • Awesome Post!! The male urinating between sessions can also help flush out any active sperm cells which may be in the urethra. That’s for couples who do rounds upon rounds. Or if for any reason he had ejaculated prior to the intercourse. It all requires discipline really. To make it more interesting, both couple should be actively interested in keeping track of the wife’s fertility window, cycle length, flow duration, ovulation day, possible menstruation day, days of possible mood changes, cravings. The discipline of keeping track should not just be a burden placed on one of the parties. Which makes this article superb. Cos it shows you both are actively involved. Thumbs up guys. You’re doing awesomely!!👍👍👍!

  • I’m not much of a “commentor” but this is my own two cents as a nurse and a year old wife. We did our research before getting married and a contraceptive looked like our safest bet mostly because we couldn’t trust ourselves to stick to the cycle. I tried the Depot and bled for three months then decided to use the implant instead. The implant has totally changed my cycle and I now bleed for 2 to 3 weeks instead of 4days. I’ve stuck with it because we plan on taking it out soon anyway . This might be TMI but thought it could provide perspective for someone. Definitely not doing it again though

  • Impressive discussion.i am a medic and specialist in reproduction.hormonal contraceptives is a no no for newlyweds however depending on how long u want to delay pregnancy you can use the condoms or do the non hormonal conceptives and enjoy the rod and staff to d fuĺlest🤣 without any fear whatsoever. However my best advise is talk to a gyneacologist bcos every ladies reproductive cycle differs in responses to all this. GOD BLESS YOU GUYS😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

  • Love you guys but It is not advisable for new couples to wait too long before having first child, it is gift of marriage and blessings from God. This is what some are really praying for, and we don’t know the time of God for our lives., We only pray that God should do the best for us but He is the one that knows the appointed time. Love you and God bless you.

  • Wow super interesting, I have a question ma, I have an irregular period, of sometimes once in two months, sometimes every month, and fewer times most 3months. I have always tried to keep track but hmmm it never works. So how do i manage it? I’m not married oh but I don’t plan to have children immediately after wedding. I hope to settle down by next year.

  • Hlo diaz, there’s something confusing me,i heard and thought that we the born again Christians we are not allowed to use those things lyk imergence pill and protectors e.g condoms but i heard u guys recommending them plz am requesting to brief me about that thing coz am in courtship and anytym am getting married and am not yet ready to have my first bby wen am anewly wed Thanx for teaching us guy u really do a great work May The Almighty God reward u

  • I believe it is best to ask God about how he would like to plan your family, and I believe he’s plan is to be fruitful and multiply and not to try to stop it. I however feel it would be beneficial to learn about the Fertility Awareness Method to understand your body for women and a book taking charge of your fertility by Toni weschler might help. I am still single and not getting ready to marry but here’s my two cents. Also it’s interesting that the woman’s body was meant to procreate. Anyways when I get there I will cross it. Thank you for sharing.

  • I agree but medical conclusion is there’s no safe time really….very funny though the only safe practice that is 💯 is abstinence even in marriage, not using hormone implants for those who haven’t had any baby is still the best practice. people get pregnant even without ovulating. some get pregnant immediately after their period or even while on their period. a lot of cases that don’t obey the know gour cycle rules. God makes a mockery of all I and some folks studied as biologists. my senior will say contraceptive or not don’t have sex on those unsafe days to avoid stories

  • My advice is that newly married should try and get the number of babies they want to have when they are still younger. I knew a couple that said that they will enjoy themselves for three years before making babies, you won’t believe that they started praying and fasting for babies for ten good years and they ended up doing ivf for their three children. Now from my own experience, I married as a virgin and for only three years not seperated, not divorced but because of sudden death. Within the three years we were able to have two children who were two years and the last one six months.
