Gosh I love what you said about preparing for pregnancy as though it’s the most important thing you’ve ever done. Having walked through five miscarriages and the loss of my firstborn to trisomy 18 I wish I had known things that you teach many many years ago. I did put into practice many of your suggestions and I did have a healthy almost 10 pound baby boy in 2020. Gearing up to go at it again for a sibling for our miracle boy. Thanks for what you do. It’s so important.
I went to a Dr and she refused to do most of the tests as we are not trying yet. I am doing in depth pre conception planning. I want to do all the tests prior, I went to a dentist, I cleaned up my diet and started my prenatal – I wanna be doing this for at least 6 months prior to TTC. Dr said she won’t do them as we don’t have issues to get pregnant yet… The only tests she done for me were to check my blood type, if I am immune to some diseases like German measles and Hepatitis etc. I am going to another Dr tomorrow. That’s why I am rewatching this article and making notes so I can ask for these things. Hopefully I will be heard this time.
Completed two degrees and now doing a doctorate degree. Have had a great career so far working for the government. I’m ready to start trying for a family next year at the age of 32. We will have a talk tomorrow with my boyfriend. We only started our relationship in the summer of 2022, so we are not married yet. Probably will have kids before that, hopefully. Thank you for this advice! I’ve taken all the labs, my boyfriend has not.
