To make a wife or partner happy, prioritize communication, understanding your husband’s feelings, and avoiding unrealistic expectations. Consider in-home care and adult day care services to nurture your marriage. Keep up the simple things, such as doing small acts of kindness or love daily. Focus on your children if you have kids.
The healing process is crucial in a marriage, and it is impossible to satisfy this responsibility adequately without communication. When a couple takes in an elderly parent or two, the spouse with the biological relationship has the strongest sense of responsibility and emotional response. Expressing your needs and desires to your husband is essential for being a good wife.
Organize a parent day-out for those with kids and friends who have kids. Encourage each other to exercise and eat well, and give your spouse permission to join a gym or invest in sports equipment. Resist the urge to be lazy and tend to physical self-care.
Crossing someone means making another person their priority relationship. Provide them with a warm, safe, and secure environment where they will never doubt our love, care, and commitment. If you are an immediate relative of a U.S. citizen, you can become a lawful permanent resident based on your family relationship if you meet certain eligibility requirements.

How does a real man treat his wife?
A strong man puts his wife’s needs before his own. In marriage, you give more than you receive. Your main motivation in marriage should be loving your wife deeply and consistently. A strong man puts his wife’s needs before his own. I played with Jon Kitna, Josh McCown, and Mike Furrey early in my NFL career. They were all great players. Our practices were filled with hard work and determination. But there was one thing different about playing with these guys. I had never been around men like that before. Have you ever thought about how a husband should treat his wife? There’s a lot written about what real men do. I can tell you this: Real men love their wives. I learned this from Jon, Josh, Mike, and Detroit Lions’ team chaplain Dave Wilson. I learned these 5 ways real men treat their wives from them.
1. With tenderness. This shows up in the small things. He’s kind to her when she’s having a bad day. It’s rubbing her feet without asking. Tender means knowing how she feels and being kind.
How to make a wife happy?
Make her happy: Respect her. Pitch in. Spend time together. Know her love language. Build her up. The saying is “happy wife, happy life.” It’s hard to know what makes her happy because women are different from men. Your heart is in the right place. You just need to stop assuming your wife thinks like you do. (And women need to stop assuming men think like them.) It’s natural to think your spouse thinks like you. You thought your spouse thought like you did when you first fell in love, right?
What does a wife want from a husband?
1. She needs a spiritual leader. A woman wants to follow a man of courage, commitment, and character. She wants a man who is strong and kind. He can be a man’s man and gentle. He will be a spiritual leader at home. He will create a spiritual environment for the family. He will study and live by the Word of God. He will encourage and enable his wife to become a woman of God and take the lead in training their children in the Lord.
2. She needs to feel appreciated. A man who loves a woman will praise her. He will praise her as a wife, mother, and homemaker. He will also praise her in front of others as a great wife, friend, lover, and companion. She’ll feel like the most important person in the world to him.
How is a husband supposed to treat his wife?
A husband cares for his wife. He shows her he cares by making her a priority and expressing his love.
Caring for our bodies. The Bible says husbands should care for their wives as they care for their own bodies. Why? She is! We are one flesh. Charles Hodge said, “It’s as unnatural for a man to hate his wife as it is for him to hate himself or his own body.” A commitment to love our wives means loving them selflessly and helping them become better people. Our love should make our wives more like Christ. I must die to myself as I care for her. This isn’t for a mushy, romantic, hormone-crazed, self-absorbed man. Only real men need apply. Are you up to it?
What are the duties of a wife after marriage?
A woman is traditionally responsible for taking care of her parents. As a wife, she serves her husband by preparing food, clothing, and other needs. As a mother, she has to take care of the kids and their education. As a worker, she must be professional, disciplined, and a good employee. She is also expected to take part in community activities and volunteer work. Men have traditionally been the family’s main income earner, with little obligation to be socially active. Some cultures and families still have these gender roles today. Women have many responsibilities, which can be hard.
How do I treat my wife in marriage?
Listen to your wife and be honest. Show appreciation. Thank your wife for what she does for you and your family. Thank her for everything she does. Be supportive. Be there for your wife.
What is a husband’s responsibility to his wife?
2. Love your wife. Ephesians 5:25 says, “Husbands, love your wives as Christ loved the church and gave himself for her.” Your wife is a gift from God, so love her unconditionally. If you want to love your wife unconditionally, make sure she’s happy. Affirm her often. Tell her you value, respect, and love her. I’ve learned that I can’t do enough. Words and actions both communicate love. You need to do both. As the Apostle John wrote, “Let us love in truth” (1 John 3:18). One thing missing in male leadership at home is action. When was the last time you gave up something for your wife? Sometimes you need to give up something you enjoy so your wife can have a break and see your love for her.
3. Serve your wife. The New Testament says that being the head of your wife doesn’t mean being her master, but her servant. Again, Christ is our model for this type of leadership. Jesus didn’t just talk about serving; he showed it when he washed his disciples’ feet (John 13:1-17). Christ, the head of the Church, became a servant when He was made in human likeness (Philippians 2:7). One way to serve your wife is to understand her needs and try to meet them. What are your wife’s top three needs right now? If she’s a young mom, she has basic needs. If your kids are grown and you’re empty nesters, your wife has different needs. Is she worried? What bothers her? What pressure does she feel? Learn the answers to questions like that and help her. What do you know about your wife’s hopes and dreams? I bet she has lots—do you know what they are? Are you helping her use her gifts? If she’s good at decorating, do you help her?
Providing. Another way to serve your wife is to provide for her. This means taking responsibility for meeting the family’s material needs. If you don’t provide for your wife, you’ve denied the faith. Providing for her also means helping her meet her spiritual needs. You do this by being a good example, praying with her, spending time together in the Bible, and encouraging her. To be a leader, lover, and servant is to make your wife’s life easier. Sacrifice your life for hers. At the judgment, Christ will say, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Read Barbara Rainey’s article “What Should Be the Wife’s Role in Marriage?”

I love this. My wife has brought self evaluation to our relationship which I had never experienced before and I love that we can see how we are doing through each others view. It’s beautiful. We have grown a lot and continue to apply more to areas we lack in our relationship. Love it. Thank you for sharing your transparency with us.

I’m a wife and mother of 2. I watched your article on being a better wife to my hubby. Loved it. Only rolled my eyes once lol. Everything else was spot on. I am a little surprised the message for women was a half hour long and the message for men was 7 minutes. But if you think about it, we women talk a bit more and need more clarification most times lol. Makes sense. Keep up the good work sir!
