How To Unlock The Grooming Set In Pokemon Sun?

Pokémon Refresh is a feature in Pokémon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, and Ultra Moon that allows players to care for their Pokémon in various ways. It shares similarities with Pokemon Amie from Pokemon X and Y. Mega Evolution, first introduced in Pokemon X and Y, has returned in Sun and Moon, allowing Pokemon to transform into a Mega version of itself.

In Pokémon Sun and Moon, players can brush dirt off Alolan buddies, wipe dirt off with a towel, comb matted fur, or blowdry a sopping-wet Pokémon. They can also remove status effects by rubbing a medicine ball. To find the QR code for a Pokemon, press X when viewing a captured Pokémon in your pokedex.

There are two kinds of Z Crystals in Pokemon Sun and Moon, one for every elemental Type in the game, and Quick Balls have a more successful catch rate if used at the start of a wild encounter. Quick Balls cause Pokémon in the daycare to produce eggs more frequently.

Additionally, the game features sun-related Pokémon, moves, items, and locations, as well as characters with names related to the moon. The sun is a recurring motif in Pokémon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, and Ultra Moon.

To access Pokémon Refresh, access the menu in the game and select it from the options in Page 2. Casual Pokémon fans may not know that there are ways to shape and groom a Pokémon’s individual stats, such as min-maxing their stats.

  • Battle tree isn’t included although you MENTION it, The Red/Blue battle is also a thing, and Defending your Champion Title–basically challenging the Elite Four but somebody different challenges you afterhand. Also, recieve Porygon from a person at the Aether House. But I’m going to try these, seems fun 🙂

  • I just finished Pokemon Moon’s main story and I’m gonna say… That was probably the most fulfilling, memorable, and emotional endings to a game I’ve ever seen. It was so sad yet so happy. It felt so perfect that I wanted to put the game down and never pick it back up since the game would hop back to a happy, action-packed vibe when that calm, beautiful ending was so good. Kind of like I’m afraid that I’ll forget how I felt about the ending and filling my Pokedex and completing everything else would make the ending feel bittersweet. But I wanna be a perfectionist and completely finish the game so…. Yeah. ;c

  • number 33 is a big joke………I was up 3 days and nights finding all the cells and cores, finally got them all and you get the biggest joke ever. the same damn zygarde but he gets that special ability where he turns into his ultimate form during battle when his health goes below half………whoopdeedoo

  • This is good stuff man keep it up! I caught a shiny ditto yesterday after perusal the article on 4 IV ditto hunting thanks so much. One thing I didn’t catch from you in this article was tracking down the Evee evolution users! Return to megamart in royal avenue and talk to the clerk on the far left. You have to battle and track down the users and come back to the clerk for Eevium Z. Here are the locations of the Trainers: Trainer’s School in Ha’oli Outskirts (Vaporeon) Tide Song Hotel in Heahea City (Flareon) Malie Community Center in Malie City (Jolteon) Geothermal Power Plant on Blush Mountain (Espeon) Hau’oli Cemetary off Route 2 (Umbreon) Iki Town (Glaceon) Hano Beach (Leafeon) Seafolk Village (Sylveon) 🙂

  • damn man, haha perusal an earlier article of you when you were battling skarmory in the battle tree looked down to my 3ds and i was battling one too they just switched out for it. Also within 10 seconds of you saying shiny pokemon trainer i initiated the battle with him unknowingly, kinda made me go wow really? this dude’s psychic or something hahaha

  • This is a good article! I think a lot of people just not play the game after defeating the Elite Four, not just on sun and moon but most games. This cancels out so many opportunities and it shortens the game experience- theres so much to do in Pokemon other than just defeating all the in-game opponents.

  • Actually it is best to get Tapukoko after you beat the game and have gotten iv judge, cause you need a modest or timid good iv Tapukoko for pvp, of course you can rebattle it after you beat the elite 4 a 2nd time, i have yet to make a team for the battle tree, been so busy, even on hiday vacation from work.

  • 8:52 I spent at least an hour and a half collecting zygarde cells, off a guide, it said all of the cells with day and night only mixed together, and at the end I had 99/100 I spent at least another hour trying to find the last cell before I gave up and found someone trading a zygarde on the and used it to make a complete form and a 10% form

  • Love this game but I loved Gold and silver’s post game more .I would like to see a Pokemon game that sticks all the regions from the past games and future games all into one game as well keep the character creator ! Now that would be cool ! We are almost 2018 so it has to be possible . Think of the money they could make off that ! Though this game did make a nice step forward ! <3 it !

  • Alright, I’m at the League right now and I am wondering, although I like completion, is this all worth it, or should I just go play Ultra Sun after beating the League in Sun? I already have Ultra Sun, so I could theoretically just pop it into my 2DS outright. I think the real question is: are there any things I am going to be missing, or that are going to be different, if I do not do them in Sun, but in Ultra Sun instead? Will the post-game of Ultra Sun (I know there’s supposed to be more there) have the same things as normal Sun? Or will I miss out on some things?

  • I use the strategy guide because it has a map of each area as you reach it and it shows the location of cells. It also has a index in the back. Since I don’t normally play at night I GTSed a Zygarde. This is much more tedious than taking many pictures, given that if you do it right it’s possible to get more than 16000 likes in one picture.

  • I have a strategy to finish Zygarde. Use the GTS and trade Alolan Sandshrew / Vulpix for Zygarde. Keep doing this until you have 100% or more. Then go get the cores. One is in your room, one in Hala’s, which is in Iki Town, one in Olivia’s house, one in Nanu’s house and the last one is in Hapu’s house.

  • Shortest pokémon game ever. Especially with the lack of national dex, side quests and post-game quests. And they dared ask full price. And the Ultra games will probably be the same. If those don’t have new pokémon or new Alola forms, then I’m waiting to buy it in discount. They could’ve just updated the S/M games for that …

  • As much as I love this article, and you, obviously, you forgot one. There’s a quest at Koni Koni city that requires you to find dittos that have changed into people. I haven’t done it in a while so I may not be completely correct on that, but you get a lot of money for it, and it could be worth your while! But, it might only be in Ultra Sun. It probably is, in which if that’s true.. welp. I’m an idiot.

  • lmao I’m very late but didn’t see this comment yet. Basically, there’s also an ‘eeveelution quest’ where you talk to a guy in a grocery store. (behind the cash register— the mysterious one lol) He wants you to fight some people around Alola that have all types of Eevee. Once you fought all of them you go back to that guy and he gives you an Eevium Z.

  • Tip to complete dex: breed a bunch of rare and desired pokémon, such as bagon, dhelmise, or larvitar. You can even use discarded offspring when breeding for a competitive one. Put them on the GTS, be the one who asks. GTS is a shithole of dumb requests people doesn’t care to remove, so unless you are posting a dumb request as well, you’ll get the trade done in no time. Supposedly you shouldn’t care too much about most traits other than the species if you are just trying to complete the dex. Check back a couple hours later, very likely your request will be fulfilled by then. Put a new request and keep going till you have all you need. This method works wonders to get a specimen of the evolution chain, preferably the lowest stage. Don’t expect it to work for unique pokémon such as legendaries, specific levels or evolved pokémon (everybody finds it easier to send a just hatched lvl 1 pokémon), and maybe gender (female salandit or combee are more desired than males). This is intended as a semi-idle method to provide you with the base materials to work at completing the dex taking away the need to seek and catch for other rare pokémon by yourself. After you have a specimen of each evolution chain, mostly you just need to evolve or make eggs. It may not be fast, but it’s a pretty comfortable way of doing it.

  • breed a perfect Pokemon, get pokerus, find an x amount of shinies, complete your own perspnal national dex since it isn’t included in sun and moon’s dex, buy all the clothing, fight every opponent possible as champion, get a team to level 100, complete the Pokedex with Pokemon from another country? maybe, and lastly, complete the shiny dex

  • I’ve done many of the suggested but like you know I nearly finished them all I was at level four for Pokefinder and I collected nearly all Zygarde cells and I finished the ultra beast challenge and I just want to be done with the game and I accidentally K.O the Tapu Lele and I have to beat the elite four again which will be a pain but not very long cause I’m high level and I did mega evolution but like so many things to do super duper tired finding Necrozma and a bunch of other things who else agrees that this is kinda hard leave a like if you do.

  • Rowlet for Sun, Popplio for Moon. Loving the music so far but the tutorials and handholding have been absolutely horrendous, some of the most excessive tutorials I’ve ever seen. And it’s mostly explaining stuff anyone who has ever played Pokemon would understand. I miss the black and white days when Bianca would let you skip the tutorial, wish Gamefreak had kept that addition.

  • I picked Litten and can’t decide what’s my favourite. It’s all goo- oh! The map! Removing the grid-based movement and all those little improvments is awesome. Especially now that you can see exactly which patch of grass a Pokémon can appear in. I did just beat Hala and got the Ride Pager, so I can see that replacing that choice, though. The removal of HM’s is a god-send after all. xD Also, if anyone is willing to trade Rowlett and Popplio babies, I can give you a Litten baby. xD Also, Vulpix for Sandshrew and Cottonee for Petilil.

  • Ok here’s a tip that wasn’t in the article, unless you want a leafeon do not go into the grass trial with an eevee. That is where the mossy stone is located however it is not immediately in your face when you get in there, it’s hidden in the back of the trial. I have seen many a people soft reset because they do not know this and want a sylveon or umbreon.

  • Most integral tip for every installment of Pokemon: Turn text speed to fast and after the first hour of play, turn off battle animations. This will save you a few dozen hours in the long run, if not a few hundred hours if you are hardcore and have to perfect breed and train all of your favorite competitive Pokemon. Poplio has the best looking final evo, but with the overabundance of grass and water Pokemon (like every gen), plus an early game that is unkind to water, fire cat has the advantage. See ya in hell Magnemite!
