Is Bride Ninian Worth It?

Ninian, a mystical dancer and older sister of Nils, is a playable character in Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade. She is a blue tome version of Olivia, flying and more physically squishy. Ninian’s stats are on the border of being a bit too bad, but as long as you can avoid -Atk or -Spd, she will actually have good combat. She also appears as a sticker in Super Smash Bros. Brawl and a spirit in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Tan Sri Ninian, a 62-year-old entrepreneur with a net worth of $470 million, is known for his controlling stake in MbF Group. He has other business interests in retail, real estate, and property development. Ninian is a better combat unit by a fair amount and can be about as good as NY!Azura in a support role with SI.

Ninian is a better combat unit by a fair amount and can be about as good as NY!Azura in a support role with SI. However, she is not a huge fan of Legendary banners and may not be worth increasing through nature if possible.

In summary, Ninian is a well-rounded and powerful support unit in Fire Emblem Heroes, with her stats and abilities being a significant factor in her gameplay.

  • Pulled a balanced Tharja and +HP/-Res Ninian. Not perfect IVs but I’m satisfied with not getting any minus attack or speed banes.. Also got Elincia, Ryoma, RO!Olwen and Siegbert as pitybreakers. Ryoma and Olwen in the same wheel. The pity breakers mostly all had worse IVs than my current ones, so they’ll likely all become merge or skill inheritance material I’m not sure I like Marth’s face either… Outfit looks great though

  • In-story justifications just make it worse. It is the out-story that is the issue with Sanaki. Anyone who followed any part of the discussion and still doesn’t get this is either dumb or dishonest. I object to it, and thus won’t be pulling for anything on this banner. IS is just disappointing me here. I expect better.

  • I was hoping for grooms, but I kinda knew that IS would go for more brides instead, so I don’t feel as disappointed as I would have been. And personally for the girl on the left, my first thought was that she kinda resembled Faye. As for the girl on the left, I have no idea. I really hope it isn’t Nino. I love Nino, but I think she’s too young for marriage. If she was made into a bride unit it would make me feel really uncomfortable and kinda grossed out by IS for doing that

  • I don’t buy the “brides sell better than grooms” argument. I just don’t. It sounds too similar to, “Boys don’t want to see female superheroes” or “White people don’t want to see movies with black leads.” It’s one of those things that hasn’t been tested, but that we all accept as true. It expects us to believe that a person who owns Bride Barbie is going to want Bride Skipper instead of Groom Ken. It expects us to believe that the thing that person who owns Batman, Superman, Aquaman, and Cyborg really wants is Wolverine instead of Wonder Woman. Games about collecting things ought to care about sets. Putting out a banner of husbands to existing brides creates instant demand for anybody who has a bride. Getting a husband creates instant demand to snag a matching bride the next time that banner shows up. Putting out lots of brides with no grooms creates only one set, which is, “Collect them all”, and that’s only going to be enticing to people who would want to collect them all anyway, regardless of whether you put out brides or grooms. So sure, in a void, any individual bride may be more popular than any individual groom. But we aren’t in a void. We’re in a world where we already have four brides. Get those women some husbands to collect, so that we can S rank support them, and watch the money come pouring in.
