Laura Rideout and her son Colin were sentenced to 26 years to life in prison for the murder of their estranged husband, Craig Rideout, in July 2016. The family was involved in a cover-up and the murder of the body. Laura was involved in the clean-up after the murder, and Colin was 23 years old when he was convicted of murdering his father and the botched attempt to hide the body. His mother, Laura Rideout, was also convicted for her role in the murder.
Colin Rideout was acquitted of murder charges but convicted of evidence tampering. His 51-year-old boyfriend, Paul Tucci, was acquitted on both charges. All four were charged with second-degree murder after Craig Rideout’s tarp-covered body was found in the woods in the Finger Lakes.
The case drew national attention, with Colin Rideout and his mother Laura Rideout being convicted in a sinister murder plot. The family members convicted of killing Craig Rideout have served a year in prison, with Paul Tucci saying the verdict was a surprise. Colin Rideout, Laura’s son, was also convicted of second-degree murder and remains in prison with 25 years to life.
The marriage resulted in a split that did not end amicably, leading to a fierce custody battle. Laura and Colin were both found guilty of second-degree murder and are serving life sentences in state prisons.

I used to work for a car rental company about 20 years ago. Hell’s Angels had a club house down the street from our office. Sometimes they parked their motorcycles in our parking spots. I didn’t know much about these people and used to get irritated whenever they used our parking spots. One morning (when I was in a bad mood due to lack of sleep) I went and knocked on their door. A huge 6’8 bearded guy opened the door and said “who the fuck are you and what do you want?” I politely informed the guy that we needed our parking spots and asked him to move their motorcycles. He told me to fuck off. Something flipped inside my head and I said “hey, move your bikes or I will move them myself”. That pissed him off and he said he would break my bones if I touched his bike. I said “okay, then move your bikes now, or I will make sure you all get a parking ticket”. I didn’t flinch and stood my ground…but inside I was shaking and was about to shit my pants because he looked like he was going to kill me right there and then. But to my surprise he started laughing and said “you got some balls, kid. You’re cool”. Ten minutes later he came out with his friends and they all moved their bikes. When my boss saw them all coming out at once he almost had a heart attack.
I stumbled upon the Angels at the Altamont Music Festival in 1969. I was 17. They had 2 busses parked adjacent to each other. The Stones hired them to keep the peace at the concert. They were paid with beer and they were throwing six packs out of the windows of the 2 busses. They tried to start a fight with my buddy who accidently bumped into one of them as we were passing through. I grabbed my buddy (who was going to accomadate the Hells Angel), and pulled him away before they got into it.
In 1985 a 16-year old me was leader of the West Haddon chapter. As leader I rode a Yamaha FS1-E. It looked liked it was 50cc but what nobody knew was… It was bored out to 65!! One night without any planning at all and without any regard for the law, I dared my chapter to ride without helmets to where the council were fixing the Crick bridge and each ride back with a road-cone on our heads! We did it, we watched the BBC news that night and it looked like we had got away with it… Not a single helicopter could be heard! But the next morning when the haze of drinking a stagerring two beers at the after-raid party had worn off, I looked at the seven road-cones on my parents front garden and promptly returned all of the cones by one, which took over two hours, because removing them had technically created a hazard on the public highway! If this comment prevents just one person from being so reckless then my sharing my secret will be worth it! My gang never reformed after that night… Our promise to stay silent was kept, and everyone went straight! But, it wasn’t entirely without tragedy, because I hear that Paul is now an estate-agent… So sad, such a waste. 🇬🇧😉🇺🇲
I was at this bar in south FL, in my early 20’s this was probably early ish 2000’s. Hells Angels and Mongols broke into a massive fight inside that place, all of us were stunned just stayed in the back and watched this riot go on, and then they stopped and everyone else went back to having a good time. Years before that I was at a Santana concert and I met a bunch of Hells Angels bikers on the grassy area when I was like 13, they were pretty cool I thought. But I didn’t know any better 😂
I had some surprisingly-polite dealings with Mongols here in LA, when I was a bouncer at a bar downtown. Turns out the bar I worked at used to be a hangout of theirs & changed ownership, with the understanding that, if they chose to keep hanging out there, they had to take off their colors. As a Black dude, I was pretty nervous about telling them they couldn’t wear their colors, but they absolutely obliged, with only the SLIGHTEST bit of apprehension about doing so. I think my questions about what they were about helped diffuse the situation a bit, as I told them that the only “club” I ever joined, was the Marine Corps (Desert Storm vet). But, I feel like if they let Black people in, I woulda joined in a heartbeat cuz they were so cool to me.
Id been talking to some guys at a bar. I know one of the staff members there is a patched 1% member, but I’m on friendly terms with him. I sparked up a conversation with a few of the guys at the bar who seemed nice enough. Perhaps I was a bit drunk and I mentioned that the chef was a 1% biker. I won’t go into detail but it turned out the man I was speaking to was the chapter leader. He poured my beer on the floor telling me if I did not leave I would be dragged out of the bar. I paid my bill and left with the leader shouting insults at me on the way out. As I was waiting for a taxi outside the leader came out and tried starting a fight with me. I just ran off. If I did stand my ground and fight and I won, I’m sure there would have been some pretty serious repercussions down the road for me. Best decision was to run away.
They throw a huge barbecue in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, just about every year. All are welcome except trouble makes looking for trouble. But if they do show up, fhedy WI have no problems finding it. I have been a few times. It seems those looking for trouble did not show up for their ample helping of trouble. They did not even ask for money for the food. I did make a donation. If you like brisket, Saskatoon Hell’s Angels meeting is where to go. I guess if you are looking for trouble, it is also the way to go. I really did feel extremely safe. They had every cut of meet you can think of. I felt very uncomfortable, at first, and intimidated. I started feeling better when an abrasive looking 2¼ meter tall giant brought me a paper plate with a couple of burgers and said, “Here, little guy. You look like you need this.”
I worked in sturgis for five years at a restaurant owned by the Denver HA chapter. It was called Road kill cafe across from one eyed Jack’s. I slept in the clubhouse and cooked food for sonny barger, members and prospects. They all gave me respect and were highly respected by others. The brothership these guys share is hardcore! Much love to all the clubs and chapters out there. Safe travels!
Once upon a time I was driving and got a flat tyre. I got out and started fixing it when i heard a bunch of motorcycles coming up the road, to my surprise i saw that they were wearing hells angels jackets. About a day later i learned that my brothers wife’s uncle had a neighbour who had a friend that knew a guy that was related to a cousin of a hells angel member. I said what a coincidence i saw them the other day.
I know an Angel, not like a big-deal one, just a pretty normal biker. He’s said on several occasions that he was really glad he wasn’t very involved in anything gnarly, because there’s no good way to get out without going rat. As a Deadhead, I get wanting to feel like you’re part of something, but I can’t imagine wanting to be trapped like some of those guys are.
lived next door to one there fort houses when was 16 in Australia was safest street in area top guys chat with them a lot use to race them with my 500 MX bike also share farmed were there sargent of arms lived him & his wife had excellent western gun collection. top guys got on with them well when use to chat
I don’t think the Harley davidson brand is infamous. Thats far from the truth. You can’t paint that canvas as a whole when your focusing on negative. The logo represents a hard life lived despite all olds. The men that disgraced that ideal have mostly been locked up or killed.. the clubs these days are legit riders and have families and values
