A comedy classic that never got its due. Nick Cage and Jimmy Caan are at their best in this funny, well-written, fast-moving 92-minute film. This is a fun time with an excellent Elvis score and lots of character actors. Rated 4 out of 5 stars, 03/31/23 Full Review, Joel H. I haven’t seen Honeymoon in Vegas in years, but it’s still a charming romantic comedy. The mix of Nicholas Cage, Sarah Jessica Parker, James Caan, and Elvis impersonators seems strange, but it works. What is the movie about 4 guys going to Vegas?

The Hangover – IMDb. Three friends wake up in Las Vegas after a bachelor party. They don’t remember the night before and the bachelor is missing. They search the city for their friend. Three guys wake up from a bachelor party in Vegas with no memory of the night before and the groom is missing. They search the city for their friend before his wedding. Three guys wake up from a bachelor party in Vegas with no memory of the night before and the bachelor missing. They search the city for their friend before his wedding. If a movie is funny, even though you’ve seen some of its funniest parts in the trailer, it’s a winner. The Hangover is similar to Very Bad Things but not as dark. It’s a comedy that works for many reasons and was therefore successful.

The actors: Bradley Cooper was funny on Alias. Here he can show his comedic talent more than in He’s Not That Into You. Zach Galifianakis is a bit odd, but he’s perfect for the role. Ken Jeong and other comedians make a great ensemble. Don’t watch the trailer before the movie. One cameo is better than the trailer.

  • Such great acting here all around. Nick Cage’s reaction is so spot on and is the reaction by any stunned card player who loses a ton of money on a great hand. Priceless. Also, love the guy playing Elvis and the writer or writers inserting the guy offering fruit ( the waiter ) is perfect as far as comedic timing mirroring reality .

  • Savage. Brutal. Heartbreaking. Epic. Best poker scene since the ending of the Cincinnati Kid. For those of us who bet big and raised and re-raised with what we naively thought was an unbeatable hand, only to be shocked to see the opponent had a once in a blue moon super hand to win the huge pot, I can only say that I feel his pain. This was a very realistic scene . Poor guy….he was so confident of winning the big pot but it was not to be.

  • When Jack told Betty that a straight flush is “like” unbeatable but not unbeatable, what he should’ve said was that a straight flush to the jack is “like” unbeatable. “To the jack” can be beaten by a “to the queen” and “to the king”. So Tommy could’ve lost too if Jack had a straight flush to the king. A better way of saying it is almost unbeatable instead of like unbeatable. Also, that was so annoying that the waiter chose that one particular second Jack got knocked to the ground to come and offer him a fruit plate. Where was he the whole time Jack wasn’t in sudden shock from realizing that he had a $64,000 debt?

  • I once had a kings high, full house over eights. I was betting the house for sure. The guy to my left was staying with me, and looking at his cards (playing seven card) he had nothing. No pair showing, no cards showing a possible straight or flush, nothing. His highest card was a ten. But, he had a pair of tens in the hole to go with that turned up ten, and his last card dealt down was another ten. I laid down my full house looking to clean up around four hundred bucks, but those four tens was just like a kick in the crotch! Damn…

  • The ‘slow roll’ that everyone hates to see…:) It does happen, but the ‘deal’ is a good excuse to disbelieve 🙂 Here is a tournament poker scene, but let’s wonder about the camera being there recording this perfect ‘Nuts’, and wonder is this Polish scene real or the ‘deal’…? 🙂 Straight flush vs staight flush – YouTube

  • Had this happen to me once, I was young about 15. the local neighborhood kids would get together and play poker. 1 dollar 5 dollar. I had a straight flush and ran the pot to 400 bucks, knowing I had the win, only too find out he also had a straight flush, but his was two cards higher. Wiped me out. till this day, I don’t play much at all. we play here at the shop on occasions when its slow, but no more than quarter dollar type games. Im near 50 now

  • There are a million reasons to be careful in a private game. Obviously card/deck stacking. Two, table stakes (where you cant bet more than is in front of you) is standard. Some say casinos are always legit, but commerce casino dealers were indeed caught colluding with local players at the high stakes games. Always be aware of fishy situations. I know, I’ve been in a million of them.

  • The odds would be off the chart. I did see live in 7 card stud a straight flush beat 4 of a kind. It turned into a jackpot also. I made more money winning jackpots then I did playing. I had aces full beat a few times and got like 600 bucks. I had 64 low beat by wheel one time twice in couple of hours. It was only a 1-3 game 7 card hi/low game. One time I sat down with $20 bucks. First hand. I get two aces on first 3 cards guy in seat 8 had queen showing and raised. There were probably 5 people in the pot. The next card I get an ace. I am all in by the 5th card and guy has 2 queens showing first four cards. I nudge the dealer and I whisper I think he has 4 queens, please just pair me. I have like 3 aces in first four cards. By card 6 I still have trips and they going at it one guy I am sure has low and guy on the end I would bet my life he has 4 queens on 4 cards. Down card on river. Hand over and guy in seat 8 pushes the 2 queens showing then opens up the bottom cards and has 4 queens. I am praying I have aces full because if so I get 500, he gets 250 plus rest of players split 250. I turn cards over and I have aces full of kings. First hand. Lucky me huh.

  • Always funny how stupid poker is in movies. Remind me of, is it in casino royale where james bond seriously bet all the way with millions over the hope of 1 card river for straight flush or something? I mean seriously, you dont look at a guy that had 2% chances of hitting like he’s a champion after playing like this, you just punch him.

  • Canceling this show a huge mistake by HBO, I agree. The Lakers had a slump, and the show got cancelled. It was never given a chance to see the Laker’s come back in 1987-1988 and then have Kareem Retire. That would have been excellent. Personally, I think it is still hard for America, not Hollywood, to accept a cast of black leads. If this was about Boston and Larry Bird, it probably would have done much better. But, a show where “certain people” are the supporting cast, didn’t stand a chance. This is unfortunately the America we still live in today. It was the same for the “Little Mermaid”, to a even worse extent. Hollywood needs to fight for diversity. Enough of “us” watched it and enjoyed it. There just aren’t enough of “us”.

  • If HBO don’t consider this great “Winning Time” show worth fighting for, even with their legal department if needed, then it’s their fault. We Lakers fans around the whole world deserve to watch the back-to-back, and even the threepeat, told this great way, and Max Borenstein and Jim Hecht deserve to keep writing this story. Please, Max and Jim, take this magnificent series to Netflix, Apple or whoever else. They’ll surely appreciate the pure gold they’ll be receiving and won’t be afraid of any lawsuit

  • Jeanie Buss needs to get over her negative feelings of Jerry West and forgive. My understanding is he only pointed out Jeanie dating Phil was a bad thing in the team dynamic. Both, immediately took to treating West like garbage after everything he has returned to what the Lakers did for him. West was successful in everything he touched for LA, player, coach, scout, GM, etc etc. if it weren’t for West there wouldn’t have been several huge happenings for the lakers. Dr Buss wanted West to coach but he insisted that Pat Riley take the helm and success was immediate. Trading for Kobe, signing Shaq and a bunch of other players and trades before Kobe. Love to see Jeanie bury the hatchet (not in his back) and bring him home before his time is up.

  • Gross mistake on their part for canceling the show and also canceling it on the ending note that it ended on 😮‍💨. If you could come up with 7 episodes where you end up making an ending to the series-Winning Time that’s supposed to be based on the Lakers winning championships, what the Celtics winning a championship at the very end thing last episode of a series based on Lakers winning championships then you could have spent the time to give us at least five more episodes on top where the lake is actually win the championships and end it like that if you’re going to cancel this type of series…… LOL for crying out loud……. 😂…… It’s unfortunate I really was enjoying this show 😮‍💨

  • I like the first season and the intro of the show. But I think it was cancelled because people just don’t like Califonians. Especially, people in Texas don’t like Californians. I also think California has lost its glamour because it seems very depressing. There ia a reason why everyone is leaving the state. Bad education, high crime, high taxes, lots of poverty, and high cost of living will get people of thinking of leaving.
