She says a lot she doesn’t have feelings etc but hoping we reconcile
Blessings, I am in the process of filing divorce. I was married 9 years in a physically, verbally and emotionally abusive, pre and post pregnancy. We have been separated nine times for all nine years of marriage due alcoholism and a diagnosed mental illness. This ninth time of separation, my husband spoke heavily of reconciling and getting our family together- only to find out that he has been living with another woman and her three children- and she knew that he was still married. Not to be facetious, but am I to believe for a marriage like this? Why would I?
I’ve checked marriagetoday.com for Christian marriage counselors in my area and wasn’t able to find anything. Do you have resources on how to find any near the Des Moines, IA or Ames, IA area. I do believe God has left this marriage. I don’t understand how my faithfulness has been rewarded like this? If this is God trying to teach me something…its a very cruel and painful way to do it.
Id never re-marry and I’m sure God would fault me however men want sex, women don’t. In 14yrs of marriage it’s pretty much been that way past maybe that 1st or maybe 2nd yr. They want the security, and financial help men offer yet lack the sex drive once the knots tied leaving us guys the short end of the stick.
