  • I love her. I watch Bling Empire, and while I also like Anna Shey, I’ve always thought she was too hard on Christine. This article confirms why I love her. She is gracious, well-spoken, articulate, intelligent, and charming. And I respect her love, passion, and respect for the designers and the fashion houses.

  • Its really interesting about haute couture because as a former designer and knowing how the industry works its not what you think. People spend thousands of dollars on these clothes and at the end of the day they really cost no where near what they pay. People try and make things so exclusive and to be honest its fabric, sewn together by a tailor to fit your body. I could go on and on about the reality of it all but I wont.

  • She’s a bit mixed up about what is Couture. Just because something is a one off and made for you by a designer does not make it Haute Couture. The Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture sets specific guidelines and criteria about what can be called Haute Couture. Versace, Dolce & Gabbana and Valentino are not designated as official couture houses as they do not meet the requirments.

  • Lovely dresses but she said something that is not true… dresses are not only made once… yes one is made for the show of course but I am working in haute couture ateliers and as long as clients pay for a model it’s made for them, obviously with some changes if required. So you might sometimes have several people owning the same dress/outfit.

  • If Virginia Viyard’s first couture collection for Chanel was Autumn / Winter 2019 and Christine’s first ever couture purchase was that black dress with the shirt collar and cuff detail, then she has only been buying couture since 2019. This article is a year old, which means she had only been a couture client for four years at the time this article was filmed. She talks as if she has been buying couture all her life. 😂

  • sorry to bust people’s bubbles but fashion is dead those designs are copycats from the true designers up until the late 90s….all i see are lacroix, dior, chanel Fashion is dead. Any modern so-called designers haute couture on the pages of vogue or W are no different from Costume Designers in hollywood… seriously, how many different ways can one reinvent a wheel?

  • Bling Empire lacks so much in fashion style – as compared to the Lisa Vanderpump, Erika Jayne, Dorit from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Nene Leaks, Marlo Hampton from Atlanta, and Selling Sunset’s Amanza, Christine. these girls know how to dress up to each of their own characters, styles and bring visual fun to the drama. Casts of Bling Empire all they ever talk about for 2 seasons are how rich their parents are all the time, lacking drama and storyline as well as fashion ps, buying and owning haute couture and expensive fashion doesn’t make you stylish if you can’t pull the dress off it’s money to the waste better hang dresses up on the wall like art pieces to watch. she owns tons of haute couture but style is everywhere, doesn’t seem to know what color scheme/ silhouette/ style fits her. maybe Kane is the only one who dresses fine, the rest are just clueless in fashion and styling including this girl who claims to be a fashionista jamie? hire a better stylist w/ all that money. can do so much better.

  • There’s a right-polite-discreet-elegant way to talk about money and expensive art and there’s a wrong-cringey-presumptious way. This article is all the latter. This is why people think clothes/fashion are superfluous and vain. This is why fashion history and theory still struggle to be considered formal fields of study (which they unquestionably are) in the academic world. And it’s not just her fault for being pedantic and not even being able to pronounce the names of the designers she claims to admire so much, it’s how the article was conceived and edited. Tragic, all of it.
