As a woman who was engaged to, and has a beautiful child with someone who was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, a lot of parts in this article had me fighting back tears. Our relationship broke me. I was never the same person. I had to learn a lot when we separated because I was so bitter. I 100% believe that your mental illness is not an excuse to hurt others or justify wrongdoings, but I have learned that having compassion for others has gotten me alot further than being bitter. Some parts of this article brought me back to my daughter’s dad’s mental breaks and how helpless he felt and how helpless I felt to do anything that could truly help him. I’m not making much sense (been sick as a dog for 4 days now), but I figured I’d try to articulate something lol. Thanks for such awesome content! I’m a subscriber now!

i think part of the problem is the ridiculous amount of pressure these two put on themselves to consistently squeeze 48 hours out of a day. I’m sorry, but you can’t be a musician-fashion designer-politician hopeful-reality tv show star-study for the bar exam-makeup mogul-power couple with four children and homes in LA, Chicago, and Wyoming and still hold your marriage together. Something’s got to give.

Here is what it all boils down to; if Kanye really cared about his family above all, he would have kept these struggles private. My parents are divorced, and just hearing their arguments during that lead up to the divorce was absolutely heartbreaking. I can only imagine how much harder that would be if fame was on top of that.

In 1992, at the age of 25, my mother was murdered by her unstable ex bf. She was a beautiful young college student and he was a troubled young man with untreated mental health issues. He began stalking her after the breakup, showing up randomly at our house, and sometimes destroying our furniture when she told him to leave. She was in the process of getting a restraining order as his behavior grew more erratic and obsessive, but the cops drag their feet with that sort of thing when you are not rich or famous. With no security or gated communities to protect us, there was little she could do to keep him away from us while he grew increasingly deranged and emboldened. One day, only 2 weeks after starting 1st grade and 2 more before my 7th birthday, he came to our house while i was sitting in school. My little brother was only 4, so he was at home playing in the front yard when he saw her run out of the house with a knife still in her back. Frantically grabbing his hand, she dragged him after her best she could, making it across the street before collapsing in the neighbor’s driveway. My grandfather- a doctor living in SoCal- began attending a grief support group for parents of murdered adult children, and the following year found himself sitting beside some new members who turned out to be the parents of Ron Goldman. The trials ended very differently. Both victims were beautiful young women with young children, brutally stabbed to death in their homes by an ex lover whose mental deterioration and anger progressed until they became dangerously unhinged.

I’m going to keep perusal— but to call Paris Hilton talentless ??? The women was cut off by her family after being kidnapped with her parents permission and shipped off to an abusive “treatment” program, she did a show that involved a lot of self-deprecating humor, she has clothing and accessory brands, is a DJ, has numerous other business ventures and is fighting against abusive teen treatment programs in congress and in the streets. Weird take to start off the article but okay.

Paris seems to have really grown up. It was a real eye opener seeing reading about the home her parents sent her to for misbehaving children located in Northern Utah including the abuse sustained. It’s a wonder how she survived. It was a terrible existence for Paris. I think in her book she explains the terror she went through. I am familiar with this Youth school in Northern Utah. I live in Utah and have heard this schools reputation, so I believe Paris.

I think Paris Hilton has had more gold diggers hanging onto her than vice versa lol! Why would an heiress need to gold dig… perusal her documentary on the Provo canyon abuse, she said she put on that persona as a defense mechanism and dove into the socialite life as escapism… if you were born gorgeous and rich, and were out partying, of course the paps are gonna start taking an interest… and I think a lot of people would lean into that (a lot of people want fame for some reason… seems anxiety inducing to me) Just thought it was funny when u grouped in Paris Hilton as a gold digger, lmao, she’s the rich one in her relationships! Didn’t she build a huge business of perfumes and stuff? I think she said in her documentary that she used making $$ as escapism as well, instead of just leaning back on her trust fund, (I think her grandpa might’ve cut her off actually after all the party girl press), she started making products like perfume and doing appearances at clubs… if I remember right, she said she wanted to hit $100 million and that goal kept her mind occupied, but once she hit that, she just wanted to hit a billion… it was interesting cuz she was acknowledging that she realized that logic is flawed and no amount would ever fill the hole caused by trauma, but she was still chasing it… Usually in celeb documentaries they are either 1. In the midst of an addiction/ bad habit and deny it or don’t see it, or 2. Are on “the other side” with a nice answer as to how they realized and stopped their bad habits… This was kinda in the middle… it’s like acknowledging that u are chasing $ to try to feel good, but also knowing that it won’t work

I lost my mom 12 years ago to cancer and that shit still hurts like hell. I think about her daily. Her loss was the most significant of my life, so I can imagine how that jacked with Kanye’s head. This whole relationship was a shit show, but hopefully, they can get it together moving foward for their kids.

3:18:20 I’ve always tried to see Kanye ‘s side of things because I know what it’s like to be in a mentally unstable place and even if your aware of how insane you are acting, how tough it can be to stop speaking your mind. But the fact that he article taped himself “praying” acting as tho we were just getting a window into his genuine time with god or something and posting it on the internet proved to me that he truly is just doing everything he does for the benefit of image and that he will do fuckin anything as long as in his mind it will further his public image, cultural influencers, or his martyr status and I’m honestly really over the whole production…. You’re leaving out that Kanye’s ex Amber Rose has alleged he physically, mentally and emotionally abused her, and that Amber saw signs of this in his relationship with Kim. Amber went as far as apologising to Kim for everything she said, and stood in solidarity with her through the divorce. But don’t worry; go on bashing Kim and praising Kayne, only one of them is a psychopath, and his true colours keep seeping out.

Listen, he can be crazy at times but if you listen to him without bias you will also hear that he makes sense. NOT ALWAYS and he may not be the best at getting his actual message across but I still think he has a lot more intelligence than ppl give him credit for. Ok it’s quite unfair to say the hologram is creepy. As someone who has lost a parent in a traumatic way, I can attest that it is certainly not creepy to everyone. I see it as a gift filled with love and compassion. It’s truly touching. And the bit about Kanye being the most genius is obviously a joke. Like come on, Kanye certainly is not perfect but I don’t think we can criticize him for that.

It is weird that Trevor Noah out of all people managed to sum this all up perfectly. Every Kanye fan loves Kanye, but we don’t want to watch him destroy his life and family in public. The one point in this article i disagree on is calling it hypocritical for kim to meet with trump and get into politics while discouraging kanye from doing so. Not only did she actually somewhat know what she was doing and what she and trump agreed and disagreed on, she actually made a difference and helped people while kanye went on embarrassing rambling rants with no real points or ideas and acted like trump was going to make every change he wanted for the country without even knowing that trump disagreed with a lot of the shit he was saying. Dang at first I had no respect for Kim but seeing her transformation after what she went through in Paris, you can tell she really grew as a person and became far more empathetic than she had previously been. Not that anyone’s perfect but that was something that stuck out. As someone who has suffered both from and at the hands of mental illness, she really did try her best from what the evidence shows.

I love seeing articles of Kanye with his children especially North. He loves them. But he spent years chasing Kim and we all knew it wouldn’t end with them living happily ever after. Seeing Kanye rant publicly and seeing how unhinged he was acting was terrifying. When he finally got Kim he cheated on her and thought he gave her aid’s. wow! I just watched the whole thing from the first second to the very last second of the article. first of all, how much effort did you put into research, I am a podcaster myself and I often have to do hours of research for an episode about 10 minutes long. so I can’t even imagine how much research this would have taken. Secondly, the editing you have put in all the clips and text messages some of them which were deleted and can be hard to find sometimes. how you put together the article is also extremely amazing, the storytelling displayed by the editing makes the article so much more interesting. now to the story, considering Kim’s past and using people( especially men) for fame I think is a very cruel and selfish thing to do. so I think this was a little bit called for Kim to do this to Kanye. by no way is Kanye perfect, in fact, he is far from perfect. but deep inside my heart, I do feel for Kanye as a fellow male. he had his family and life partially ruined because of a decision a woman made, even though he played a huge role in keeping her famous and building her businesses up as time went by. I remember that Kanye breakdown where he claimed to have some type of disorder, but I don’t remember what it was. There’s so many odd conspiracies surrounding that whole time, such as the “Kardashian curse” or that Kanye was cloned/under mind control or MK ULTRA. Edit: I wrote this before you mentioned Kanye was diagnosed with bipolar, which is a serious thing to have. I had an friend with this and it was episodes of mania and “high energy”, with bouts of depression and low energy. If two bipolar individuals are together they can set each other off.

Whether we like it or not, personal brands and “fame for being famous” is a real avenue to success in today’s world, and there is not denying that “socialites” likes Hilton and Kardashian are extremely savvy in that field. As someone who has found much deserved success by building a personal brand on a social media site like YT, I would love to see you give respect whether respect is deserved when talking about some of the savvy women that helped blaze that trail.
