  • It’s crazy how loving he was with the other women before Robyn moved in. Robyn changed him completely, he only paid attention to her. In Kodys mind, Robyn was his true love. He spent all of Covid with her, spent the majority of his time with her, that was his wife. It was only a matter of time before the other three relationships ended, and they did.

  • imagine having 3 wives and STILL not being satisfied !!! his wife is PREGNANT, yet he is more concerned about adding a 4th wife to the family. he even said himself that his wives dont like him to be away from the home so hmmmm, how about doing that while 1 of the 3 is pregnant and for the reasoning which is to date yet another woman. wow. smh

  • Christine thought 3 wives was a good number because she wanted to remain Cody’s newest wife, because she thought it meant she was the most desired wife. All this show has shown viewers is how polygamy DOESN’T work, and how women are constantly jealous of each other and in competition but pretend they are not. I’m surprised how long that show has lasted cause honestly it brings nothing.

  • Watching this is surreal. Christine literally had a crush on Cody and pursued him aggressively as a third wife. 1. She was attracted to Cody. 2. She said if she was going to practice Polygamy, the third wife was the safest position in the pecking order. The first wife gets hurt when she has to share for the first time her husband with the second wife. The first and second wife in polygamous relationships often have an unhealthy relationship due to jealousy issues, and the fact the first wife has to reestablish her boundaries with the new second wife, but also share her husband for the first time. Meri resented Janelle for a long time, mainly because Janelle was her sister in law! *Janelle was married to Meri’s brother! Christine didn’t want to be the first wife for the reasons I gave above, as the first wife has to go through the heart ache of losing half of her husband to the second wife. She didn’t want to be the second wife, due to the resentment and jealousy she will experience walking into the First Wife’s domain. As a third wife, the first and second wives have already become accustomed to replacement, jealousy, sharing, boundaries etc., so the third wife gets to transition easier. What Christine didn’t expect was for Cody to marry a fourth wife.

  • Hindsight is definitely 20/20 while rewatching this episode.. polygamy sucks for the “wives.” When I think of the “catfish” drama all I can think is Kody’s with 4 women. Meri was with one imaginary “man” that she did nothing with but pour her heart & feelings too. Nothing physical & Kody’s butt hurt reaction & what is now “years of plot line drama” so he could push her put of his life; while plainly stating the wives can leave anytime they want to…. is just sickening!

  • If you notice that Janelle and Christine and Meri are aging they look old . They say he don’t like big women but they are all gotten big but Robyn is still slim for now. I believe Kody like having all these women that way he don’t have to be faithful to one and have responsiblity because as of now he has none, these ladies cook and clean work and raise the kids Kody do as he please and apparently its okay with them. How do they afford 4 homes and he stay wherever he wants.

  • God he looked like a huge doofy dufus even back then. I can’t stand that sad excuse for a man. Robin deserves him. Thru and thru especially since these new”covid rules” that she is constantly saying Cody is wanting Everyone to go by when it’s really all her rules and Cody does any and everything that she wants or demands.

  • Meri has no one to blame but herself. First of all, She pimped Robyn out to kody bc she so badly wanted him to be in an intimate relationship with her again. How could she not see the opposite would happen?? It’s common sense. You can’t force someone to love you. Her second HUGE mistake was not even discussing the fact that she was looking for a new wife for Kody BEFORE she and kody started looking. Im sure that caused massive resentment between the 3 OG wives. Lastly, she tried to get in his good graces again by giving up her legal wife status. She made it so easy for them and he STILL didn’t gaf. Meri is a pick me chick and i don’t feel sorry for her. Have some dignity. Dvmn!!

  • You I have watch the show for awhile and you see Kody always leaving in a small car made for 2 people. The women do everything with the kids they are always fixing something or solving problems with the kids these women bond together because Kody was out getting another wives( Robyn) you never see him playing with the kids at all. He spent time with the children when their born but that’s it. Kody has 4 mothers that is what he wanted he acts like a kid . I thought the show was taken off the air.

  • I think its good for the kids that they get along so well I hope they don’t decide to do the same thing. I have seen families like this on tv too but the girls have to wear long dresses and the wives the same and can’t go anywhere. These women wear and do as they please which they have too because Kody is just being another son to them. You hardly ever see him hug Janelle( which looks like his mother) CHristine hardly ever, Meri he may because they have a history, but Robyn ever chance he get.

  • The man was smooching with Robyn while Christine was in labor!! He and Robyn tried to hide that little make out session but the cameras caught it! He’s such trash🤨 Christine is by far my favorite but I can’t deny the fact that she was only happy in her polygamous marriage but because she had been the most recent wife but when Robyn came along shit hit the fan. She started to have the same jealous feelings that Meri has had from the beginning. I hope Kody remarries so that Robyn can get a taste of what the other wives have been dealing with

  • Where are Robyn kids since she had kody baby you see her with Solomon and not her kids. I think Robyn is confused she seem more unstable than the other women its like she was looking for a close family. Deep inside I believe Robyn wants Kody for herself and she acts like she’s happy with the situation I don’t believe it.

  • I agree it like after sleeping with them and get all the kids he want, then they get big he move on to another. He act like a kid the boys have to make their own decision how can he tell these children about right or wrong. He found 4 fools and when you look at it Kody does what he want and these women have to work and raise the kids. If Kody work their no way he could pay rent for 4 homes and feed all those kids so where is the money coming from, is the government paying their bills.

  • I’m reading all these comments about jealousy and examples to the kiddos as being reasons not to practice polygamy but for me it boils down to a simple concept that is clear as glass to me: If it’s so great then those women should be able to “grow their families” too! No? Why not? Nevermind. We know why not. The fact is if a man marries its because the woman is special, is it not? Well if she’s just not special enough to be the ONLY ONE them neither….is….he.

  • I don’t think they needed Robyn-something about her bugs me. When I see repeat shows with Robyn saying “I love Cody-Cody’s my soul-mate” how could he be? I always believed there was only 1 soul mate. I wonder which one is his soul mate. I think there is going to upset with Robyn being there. Oh yea, when she said ” I didn’t we had to discuss that her & Cody already picked out her dress” I can only imagine how the others felt. Comes into the sect with all kinds of secrets-not good.

  • I don’t want anyone in my kitchen, much less four wives in my immediate family. I don’t want to insult anyone but a single marriage is sometimes a challenge. On the first episode Meri and Christine both spoke on jealous feelings. Just think how difficult it would be to actually maintain close, and deep, relationships with all the children and the wives. There was emphasis on equality and structure to assure cohesivness within the marriages. With that in mind, why did they introduce Robyn (and her children) until arrangements were made for her be actually living under the same roof the way the other wives have. In my estimation, Cody and his new wife built a perfect love nest for Robyn and himself and a perfect EXCUSE for him to spend more time with his new bride. This fact is undeniably a slap in the face of his first three wives. It also reeked of deception and favoritism. Robyn didn’t share the responsibility or the work of the other families, and Cody held her up as the trophy wife. This ended up a problem as his other children lost the presence of their father. Cody broke the “code” and meaning of plural families for self-gratification. Don’t even get me started on the divorce of Meri and Cody. That is in essence what finally broke the family and cemented the hostility between the other wives. That was when I had ENOUGH of the plurality and fairness that Cody foisted on the whole family. Cody sure as hell never cooked or cleaned for the Meri, Janelle or Christine like he did at Robyn’s home.

  • The nation has its thoughts about this type of lifestyle but this is a regular tv show so somebody agree with it in the network, because their have been shows that were taking off. Kody don’t have to pay child support because the kids are all together and he is supposed to be marry to the moms. Why not marry someone that want alot of kids ( oh that would mean he would have to get a JOB and pay BILLS and SUPPORT his family, not Kody.

  • @1977jenna\r actually in some cultures a woman does take on several husbands but its not becuase she fell in love with other men and added them to the family like it is for a man to take on more wives. Its usually because when a woman marrys a man she gets the brothers too so its cheaper for the family to marry all their children off, kind of like a package deal kind of thing, its called polyandry and is rare but found in some tribal units around the world

  • @kidsoplenty I see:) I must’ve misinterpreted your post ” they are serial monogomists..meaning they hop from one woman to another…or take mistresses on the side..” You stated that, not me. Taking a mistress would =cheating. I agree that what I stated re; serial monogamy means date/marry 1 @ a time even if short lived relationships, is the definition of a serial MONOgamist. I looked up both of our posts here from Oct 2nd & re-read. I guess we are just misunderstanding each other. Best Wishes

  • @freelancelady right, because its abuse to love someone. maybe you think its wrong, but if you havent noticed the wifes all love him and ARE willing to except it. they love each other too. and their faith is NOT telling them what to do. they are choosing. plus, how would you like it if someone came and started telling you how your life is all wrong? its not like their choosing for their kids or anything. plus, you never wouldnt have even cared if it wasnt on tv.

  • @freelancelady i keep replying because ur hurting the way they see life. why cant you just except that people are NOT like you and that their feelings are way different? you think its wrong. they can see past that and feel love for everyone. werent you raised NOT to hurt others? maybe they are wrong, but its the way they see life. for them its fantastic and they are blessed. no one said you had to feel the same way.

  • Robyn is divorced, which would NEVER be allowed in the fundamentalist Mormon church. What gives? Why is she considered an acceptable choice for a “plural” wife (besides the fact that she’s attractive, brunette for a change, and still at breeding age?) Why can’t Kody’s three other obedient, compliant wives divorce him? Can KODY divorce them? Someone, please explain.

  • Polygamy is so bad in general and bad for your health and much worse than monogamy. Because: Sure you GIVE good: Love for all, freedom, no jealousy (umm right), no clingyness, stuff like that. But you also GIVE terrible: not ever giving full attention to anyone, making no one feel special, making a lover wait around while your in another location with another lover, etc etc. And that’s just not good enough. Not loving / caring enough. Even if your lovers say it’s fine its not fine, and you should actually want to give “best” to someone you love and not ever hurt them in any way even in a small way, not half good treatment, so. (Basically you’re a worse lover than what a monogamist lover who willingly provides great treatment.) How can you do that to your lover? It’s bordering cruelty. Just No. Polygamists love to brag alot how they think they’re superior blah blah.. But. Really, Monogamy is the good treatment a lover deserves to receive from a caring loving lover… Monogamy is just amazing and caring and healthy and the truly noble unselfish relationship style. Because love isn’t just love it’s “treatment” too. Polygamists say they’re unselfish cause they share etc, BUT no, choosing many lovers for yourself and giving all of them just part time care and attention etc, that’s not noble at all. It’s the most selfish. It’s like choosing many slices of delicious nice cakes and not finishing any / choosing many cute lovely nice little kittens and neglecting all of them. No no no. Selfless?

  • @KRadetzky I have been reading all your comments and I have to say that unfortunately we live a horrible time of corruption in all ways. Corruption in politics, religion, and our society will perish if this does not change. To even show this programm at times where our children can watch TV is frankly something that all of us should protest. I would do the necessary to let TLC know that they are disgusting to promote such a show.

  • @kidsoplenty You make some valid points. However your definition of “monogamy” is incorrect. It means absolute relationship with ONE @ a time in marriage or dating. MONO =single across the board in math, science, biology, human relations etc. Think MONOrail=1 rail, MONOchrome=1 color. It has never meant married to a single spouse yet having a partner on the side/outside the marriage. A “serial Monogamist” would therefore date /marry 1 @ a time exclusively, though not a long lasting relationship.

  • I am a second wife. I am PERFECTLY satisfied with two wives. I feel SO anxious at the though of a third wife coming, and I know it is highly likely to happen within the next year. But I just got married. I just want him to wait doe me to have a child first before adding another. 😭 Plus I am scared she may hurt the relationship the other wife and I have. We work so well together and I love her kids to death.

  • It’s so true, and that’s actually been proven. On average (there are always exceptions), intelligent people have fewer children than those who are of below average intelligence. Some of most common reasons for having a lot of children (that is, more than a few) are religious reasons, misuse/misunderstanding of contraceptive methods, and yes, for welfare purposes. In today’s times, doing so is pathetic and just irresponsible. Many think family size doesn’t impact the economy, but it always does.

  • @monicannabella It is amazing that still in the 21 st century some idiots use religion to do whatever they want, break the laws of this land and it is so revolting how american society can accept to have this kind of trash in the TV shows. I have a child and sometimes I wonder what kind of a world he will have to face. I am teaching him to show respect and love for women just as his father has treated me for the past 23 years. A corrupt society is condemned to disapear.

  • @Bryanccc3 cant really understand your comment. I just said it would be interesting. Please don’t misinterpret what I mean to say. I am happy with ONE wife and three kids. thank you very much. Im sure there are 90% of guys that would agree. Women are very exhursting. This guy can juggle Three wife’s and one girl friend and thirteen kids. He is a machine!!

  • Robyn is okay because she is fresh meat to Kody and she is alot younger than these ladies, these women have had alot of kids so their body has gone down and they don’t make theirself up but when you look at Kody he looks fresh each day. Janelle looks like his mother she looks at least 56 yrs old, really.

  • @ikram505 Well you make sense, and you are right. These days women are educated, they have jobs, they have carrers and they do not need a man to provide for them financially. Therefore they should marry for love only, and one husband has one wife. The law in the States says polygamy is wrong. This guy is sick, he needs serious mental clinical help.

  • always religion, god, love blah blah blah. He also says the wives don’t like it when he is gone? They probably have sex with him 10 times a year each, they sleep together what? 2 months out? This would not work for me. I am intrigued about the kids opinion in on all this, in a setting with no cameras or polygamists around.

  • @1977jenna – Well, historically many cultures have been polygamous at one point or another, and the origin of it is to populate faster. Multiple men to one woman does not accomplish this. My one and only problem with the concept alone (excluding the abuse that often comes with) is that the world is overpopulated, so there is no actual need for this lifestyle.

  • @peasoupanddietcoke I do have a problem with people having this kind of lifestyle. Want to know why? Where is the freedom these wives have? They should be allowed to have several husbands like the imbecile, abusive person that thinks he owns them. Second: their daughters will be also abused later, submissive because that’s what they are learning. Third: it is illegal in this country to have more than one husband or wife. Period.

  • @freelancelady Alright settle down. I agree with you that more than one wife is Wrong. he should rott in hell. Anyway who are we to judge. “Judge not lest ye be judged yourself” Just let it be. I doubt we are paying them though our taxes. the guy works!! he drives a merk!! they arent on government money checks.

  • @onelessreason2 Whatever you feel the need to call people who have differing opinions from you isn’t truly what matters here. If its just “neighborhood gossipers” who feel this is wrong, as in against the law, then I suppose you see the law enforcement officials who are currently investigating this as bitchy little nosy gossips, big babies & haters too? Yeah the law always boils down to jealousy, huh? Thanks for your brilliant “youmadbrah-imapimp’ input. At least it helps nullify your reasoning

  • @downupzzz FAITH?!! I rather say abuse. He is abusive, and he deserves to go to jail. The law is the law, there is one LAW for all americans that clearly says that polygamy is not allowed because of the abuses and consequences. FAITH? Since when faith tells us to do what we want? Real faith tells us to sacrifice for others, not to hurt them, not to cheat on them, not to abuse them.. Now that’s the kind of faith I am talking about.

  • @imperialwizard837 Your faith is your own & respected. However in your post you imply Google is unholy-somehow goes against your faith. That falls flat as a response. You hint that anyone with faith/beliefs wouldn’t use such a tool & would use the Bible, but you nullify your own condemnation of it by being on the internet & using YouTube as a tool yourself while living in your faith & what you see as acceptable. Your holier-than-thou attitude is your downfall & has blinded you. Praying for you.

  • @coolkim963 U should b sorry 2 bring the Bible into this, because Moses, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, David, & Solomon ALL had multiple wives. Polygamy has always been & still is a common practice among Israelites. How do I “love” my four children at the same time? People are so conditioned by western society to think that there effed up way of life is right and every other culture’s is wrong. What’s messed up is your inability to see passed your own bias and respect the love this family shares.

  • Wow I always thought I was open-minded I mean I support gay marriage and what not but I feel like such a hypocrite, I’m going to try not to judge all polygamus relationships by perusal this but in this circumstance it seems like Kody centers everyones beliefs around his and is causing these women so much pain. Not to mention his children, how neglected there emotions probaley are with so many kids around. maybe they cope by branching off and forming there own lives to feel part of something.\r

  • @downupzzz If you do not care then why do you answer back? I care because I do not want this kind of trash on TV, specially on a learning website. And anyway I have to right to say what I want, like it or not. Trash is trash no matter how beautiful it looks from the outside, from the inside it is rotten.

  • Muslims may have up to 4 wives in America. Why can’t Mormans who choose to be polygamists, a practice that ended with Paul in one of the omitted letters in Corinthians where he is so convinced that Jesus will be back within a year declares that NO ONE shall get married. Plural marrriage went on for centuries after Christ and Oh, yeah, didn’t Eve have sex with her son to start the human race? As did Noah with his daughters who seduced him. Is this worse? People aught to marry who they love.

  • @KRadetzky If you undertook the whole plan of god you wouldn’t ripping in to everyone that has a different view on life than you do. God is ever unchanging, he is perfect and he has put us here on earth for a good reason. This is not our home, it is only a test to see who will be the faithful ones. Let me remind you the lord Jesus commanded us to love one another, Those who judge will have their day before Jesus and the father. Standing for what u believe and judging are two different things.

Peaole aught to marry who they love.

  • Robyn only wants the benefits of a plural marriage all the pros… not the cons, she wants to be the favorite, have the bigger and most expensive house, have her kids spend all the time with her husband; have Kody living with her and not spend long days or even weeks with any other wives or any other children. She is fantasizing plural marriage, Christine KNOWS the reality of it, the good part and the bad part. Christine is a classy woman, no need to dive in into old unresolved drama (not wanting to be resolved by Kody) that’s never going to change. He is never going to change.

  • Robin never had to share a husband-plain and simple. When Christine said that, I was like, “OMGosh-she’s absolutely right!” So for Robin to cast judgment about how the others don’t “stick it out”-is truly ridiculous. She has no idea what they’ve been through. Shes basically been in a monogamous marriage with Kody.

  • Robyn lived polygamy like any other child whose father has to travel for work, truck drivers, service people particularly when they are deployed. She didn’t experience actually having to see her step dad be a father to other children or with a wife who wasn’t her biological mom. Robyn is kidding g herself that she thinks she grew up in a plural family.

  • Robyn didn’t live plural marriage ever. Kody was so tightly wrapped around her finger, that I think she was in constant communication with him if he was at the homes of other wives. I think he would go late in the day to Christine’s and leave early the next day. I think, that’s how it was from the day Robyn came into the picture. That’s on Kody. He failed at plural marriage.

  • I think Christine wasn’t talking about Robyn’s childhood so much as their marriage to Kody. But either way it’s TRUE. Robyn never had to live in a situation where she truely shared her father OR her husband. Robyn’s mom lived in a completely different city than her sister wife- and by all accounts she was her dad’s favorite wife. So Robyn never had to see another woman or other siblings getting preferential treatment while her relationship suffered. Same with her marriage to Kody. She never lived with the other wives. And Kody always gave her and her kids more attention, love and resources. Kody never missed HER kids milestones or medical events. She never has had to sacrifice or go without for the sake of her plural family.

  • Robyn doesn’t realize how smothery and controlling she is. Meri, Janelle, and Christine literally had to be selfless and put their needs on the back burner consistently day after day. Robin thought she could finagle what she wanted and get the most out of Kody since most of the other kids were grown. On topof that why would she push for the most expensive lot in Flagstaff when she didn’t have a dime to contribute to the financial load of it? The audacity is unreal.

  • I don’t think a man having two separate families is polygamy just because he’s sleeping with both women. From what’s described (at least on TLC), a polygamous/plural family entails the moms working together and the kids all being raised together as siblings. It sounds like Robyn did not have another mom and her dad’s other kids were not like her siblings, and they were in competition for their dad’s time and attention. Robyn definitely thinks that’s what polygamy means and that’s why she has been more selfish and competitive from the start. If she were truly living polygamy the other kids would be her kids too and she would want them to have an equal share of Kody’s time and attention. Instead she went about it like she needed to secure the most for her kids at the expense of the others, probably because that’s what she saw growing up. She has never cared about any of the other kids and did not want the other moms to be mothers to her children. We’ve even repeatedly seen Robyn target certain kids (especially Hunter) for mistreatment, and now we’ve seen her orchestrate a “daddy-daughter” memory for Kody and Aurora so she could show how much better her kids are than the others even knowing it was going to hurt her “beloved” ally Mykelti.

  • Am I the only one who sees Robin as that girl in high school wo wanted to steal everyone else’s boyfriend ? Then once she got him she didn’t want them any longer ??? Robin was younger, prettier and newer. Meri is an idiot for even thinking that she could gain points with Kody for sucking Robin in. No doubt Robin pulled her narcissistic supply knowing that she was wife # 1 and that Kody only had eyes for her !!! I don’t believe for one second that she is confused on what blew up this entire family.

  • In theory Robyn thought it was going to be easy she thought she was the cool popular one, the OG3 saw thru her act Janelle said it, they all said Kody was always on his phone because Robyn would not allow him privacy and time when he was away, she knew exactly where he was at, she prob has a diary about it, she went to look to see if Kody was with Janelle on Coyote Pass! Robyn eas the MOST JEALOUS wife

  • I found it interesting that Robyn showed up at Janelle’s or Kody bringing young Solomon on a planned hike. Currently Kody needing to be available because the children are young, I believe that was part of his excuse Regarding his choice not to attend his older child’s surgery. I believe Robyn demands Kody to be present, I believe she’s jealous of the other wives and children

  • I think Christine was right. Robyn portrayed herself as someone who grew up in a plural family, and technically, she did, but not really. Robyn didn’t have to watch her husband go off to his other family because the other family lived a town over. Just another lie the Browns sold us. Robyn wrote her own story to appeal to the Browns and fit into the TLC show. Robyn wanted fame, a family to support her for financial security, and a Dad that was available for her children exclusively. Doesn’t sound like polygamy to me.

  • I agree with everything you’ve stated. I’ve always believed that the nature of polygamy breeds narcissistic traits. Where everyone is always competing for attention affection it will tend to make someone a bit selfish. I’ve heard people say that Robyn’s stepdad’s first family didn’t find out about the 2nd family until after her mom and stepdad were spiritually married and that the original family disapproved and rejected her family. I imagine that with Robyn being the non-biological kid she probably felt that rejection two-fold compared to everyone else. I imagine her mom making her dad feel like he was on a “honeymoon” whenever he came over was just a tactic for him to pay attention to their Side of the family thus making them look “better” than the original family. Ever since I learned of Robyn’s background as “the stepchild” ive figured that’s why she’s always thinking everyone is rejecting her side of the family. She probably experienced that herself as a child and she’s now projecting her own unresolved issues onto her own kids. It’s sad really

  • Robyn’s mom was basically the mistress & secret family. Robyn also said her mom taught her to never bring complaints her husband & to keep things positive & joyful when he was at her house. Kody’s dad had the same setup, Kody’s mom “took care of the kids” & Janelle’s mom “took care of Winn” Robyn made her house the house where Kody is king. Janelle, Christine & Meri treated Kody like a husband, the good, bad & ugly was brought to him so he would go to Robyn’s where he could hide. Well now she’s got Kody… enjoy!

  • seems like Robyn tried to copy her mum’s way of living but made one crucial error – she wanted to be the head wife and occupy majority of Kody’s time while simultaneously maintain that everlasting honeymoon experience she wanted to be both the head wife AND a side piece – and thats where she has failed because now kody will be looking for a new side piece

  • Christine voiced out loud what the rest of us have been seeing all along. Robyn’s “idea” of a plural marriage was skewed from the beginning. She was unwilling (and maybe unable) to make the shift to a truly plural arrangement which would have allowed her children to develop relationships with the other children or for her to develop any kind of relationship with the other wives. She can’t use that as an excuse – she’s an adult. When she was faced with the difference, she refused to make the changes necessary and instead placed blame on all of the others.

  • Robyn showed Meri, Janelle, and Christine how a man treats a woman that he truly loves. They had no idea until they compared their “alleged marriages” to Kody’s treatment of Robyn and her children. In the tell-all Robyn likened their marriages as apples while her marriage to Kody was an orange. She, thus, reasoned there was no need for jealousy or feeling slighted. She pretended not to know that he gave Meri, Janelle, and Christine rotten apples, while he gave her a fresh juicy sweet delicious orange nestled in a gift basket full of lavish goodies with a big pink bow on top.

  • Robin’s choices are entirely dictated by deeply seeded inferiority complexes. She has felt othered all her life and that has had a direct impact on her parenting choices. I think her arrogance is built on fragility and that is why it’s hard for her to make space in her intellect for others’ view points and opinions. From season one she positioned herself as the spoke person for how polygamy works. Honestly – she didn’t even honor her own ideals. The scene when she talks to Meri in season 17 about “holding on” with her, she lets it slip she KNEW Christine had been unhappy in Las Vegas. I think Christine trusted Robin and Robin betrayed her by talking to Kody. This after countless times Robin would act like Kody’s relationship with the other women was not her business. No Robin has no real experience in polygamy. Christine is right.

  • It strikes me as really very strange and eerie that it seems like Robyn has tried to mimic her mother’s experience exactly and give her children the exact upbringing she had. Just with hers surrounded by more siblings and treated as more special and set apart. She’s been very calculating and is an expert manipulator and has managed to do everything she set out to do. The only problem was she didn’t count on anyone growing a backbone and walking away!

  • Her mom may have been part of a plural marriage, but Robyn didn’t experience it herself with her not being a part of wife #1 and her children lives, or at least not on a regular basis. She saw marriage on a monogamous level. When she married the first time, it was monogamous. Simply out, that’s what she was used to. When marrying Kody, she still had more of a monogamous marriage, as she never lived in the same house, never helped raise Kodys other children, and she didn’t let the other wives help raise hers. She had zero idea of how to live within the confines of a plural marriage. Covid comes along, and this cemented her further into a monogamous married type lifestyle.

  • Robyn’s father’s two families lived in separate states, so while Christine went to school with her siblings from other mothers, Robyn did not. Robyn tells how she didn’t see her stepfather for weeks and celebrated Christmas weeks later, so for her mother to create a “honeymoon” experience wouldn’t have been hard. Some people think that Robyn’s mother was a mistress, not a second wife. I don’t know if that’s true, but it certainly sounds, from Robyn’s description, like that.

  • I agree with Christine, Robyn never lived a plural life. Even when she was younger, her father kept both families separated. IMO, to her, polygamy is simply being married to a man that already has another wife/family. I believe if she had grown up in a shared environment with her father’s other family, she would probably have a different perspective on the situation between Kody and the other wives/kids. I say this because I believe her mother would have been treated differently than she had been while living separately. Robyn would have learned to share as she probably would have had to share her space, toys, clothes; food, etc., with her siblings from the other wife. She would have seen how someone was suppose to contribute to the family as a whole not just per household and she definitely would have had to split her time with her dad with her other siblings equally. As such, she didn’t and so she monopolizes Kody’s time because that’s what she did when her father came over. Robyn’s dream werent unrealistic, but no one in that family was responsible for making her dreams come true but herself. I always imagined that if you are in a plural marriage you are committed to all not just one, but she only dated and married Kody. I never saw her try to spend time with just the kids or with any of the wives one on one. Everything she did, she singled Kody out first, then THEY told the other wives and the kids together. To me her actions, showed and continue to show who she was/is committed to and it was never “the family”.

  • Robyn is a controlling jealous woman who wanted the best of both worlds. She wanted a polygamous family that would provide her with 4 adults bringing in income so she wouldn’t have to work, but she didn’t want peer wives who would be sleeping with her husband and competing for attention and resources. She thought she found the perfect dupes in the Browns. All the wives in the family were older and done having children. She got to play the role of hot, young wife and manipulate Kody into giving her everything. She didn’t count on the original 3 getting fed up and leaving. If Robyn’s dream was to be sitting on a porch with her sister wives and children and grandchildren, then she should have married a polygamous man who had wives her own age and were in the same stage of life as her. But no. She wanted EVERYTHING for herself.

  • I’m so glad I ran upon this article. A different perspective. I don’t know how easy to find the information but is Robyn’s bio Dad still alive? Does she know her stepdad’s real family? How many half siblings does she have. I thought it was super creepy her stepdad was filming her child’s birth. Do you think part of the reason for the move to LV was to be near her stepdad?

  • Robyn’s dad kept his wives/children separate (I think living in different states) like he had 2 families. They weren’t integrated, so no I don’t think Robyn has ever lived polygamy. Once she married Kody, she only talked about the bigger picture. She immediately made demands & had to have her needs met above anything and everyone else. There was no give, much take.

  • Robyn didn’t live polygamy, Christine is right. She never had to really share. She said herself that her step Dad had a second Christmas celebration with his second family, sometimes a week after Christmas. This means the two families didn’t get together to celebrate Christmas. Did they ever get together? The legal, first family were the ones who lost their Dad’s time and resources when he decided to take on a second woman and her children. Just like Robyn. Did her step Dad’s two wives sit on a porch together? Did they ever meet? Robyn refused to share the house at Leihi, she never shared. Janelle offered her half of her house. She said no and the original family had to pay out rent. Did Robyn ever contribute to the Brown family? Financially? Resources? Was it all take, take, take? Is that what her mother did too? Christine suffered for polygamy and for Kody. Robyn didn’t.

  • Robyn’s childhood is not plural marriage it was a plural family What I took from what Christine said was once Kody started courting Robyn he essentially was mentally not married to the other three. He wasn’t emotionally invested and definitely not intimate. So both of Robyn’s marriages were monogamous.

  • Robin isolated herself and her children from day one. Remember when Christine made it really clear that Robin broke her heart because she didn’t want Christine or the other wives perusal her children. Christine called her out on the reunions show Robin was really mad and she said it’ll lower voice you’re really going to do this now and Christine said yes because you broke my heart. Probably thinks Cody needs to spend more time with her younger children but she doesn’t have a problem having 11-day honey mood when Christine had a newborn at home. She’s also not a good sister wife she should have insisted that Cody went to Savannah’s surgery but she didn’t. No Robin doesn’t know how to be in a polygamist family she’s never lived it and she truly doesn’t care about the other wives and their children. I’ll take that back she likes mykelti because mykelti kisses her and Cody’s ass

  • We are very happy for Christine to find a real man who loves her and respect her. And had the money sources to provide for and her children 👏👏👏👏👏👏finally the thirty Kody an the robber Robin don’t sill more from Christine. We arresting the Janell and Mary will go to the 😮courts and sue them to recover all their money they need to take the house of Robber Robin to pay them back and Kody need to give all the land to Mary and Janell. Yes yes yes yes justices need to eso e to Janell and her children. and also poor Mary that was always abuse by. Kody líes

  • I think… I only half agree with Christine here. Interestingly, I think she’s using the term “plural marriage” in an ideal sense, despite no longer believing in the principle (of plural marriage) herself. (Kind of like the way people will say, “that’s not Christian” meaning, “that’s not true Christianity” when Christians they disagree with do things they don’t like 😂.) So, Christine means to say, plural marriage is a fair distribution of time and resources without favorites and Robyn never even lived that—she never had to share Kody bc he ditched the rest of the family to be with her, even before they were married! And, I agree to the extent that Kody really took his favoritism to the extreme, to the point where he was acting like a monogamist with these plural wives on the side. ON THE OTHER HAND every other ex-fundie mormon critic of the show says that there ARE favorites and there ALWAYS are favorites in polygamy. Even if they are biased, they are trying to work from a functional definition (that describes how polygamy actually functions) rather than the religious ideals (which continue to operate for Christine, even after leaving—which isn’t uncommon/makes sense). Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk 😂❤

  • I think Rob”em will divorce koody for th money as soon as financial pain starts most likely wen they lose th tlc show if not sooner— I think she planned their move to a community property state- also why she didn’t want to leave AZ for UT— they both plotted to rob th OG3 w th move to AZ— in terms of their kids she coud do same thing to koody she did to first husband

  • I believe she decided it wouldn’t be good for her to bad mouth Kody/Robyn. The duo was banking on her doing just that she’s trying not to fall for it. To be fair, the Browns version of polygamy is not the norm. It’s more like Robyn’s version. His 1st version didn’t work out because the woman were too on top of each kther. 2nd version with Robyn didn’t work either because it wasn’t the culture the other women were used to. Poligamy It’s pretty much women that accept a man having many women and children with them. To make the best out of the situation to be FRIENDLY with the other women sometimes.

  • I also wonder if Christine had a hard time accepting Robyn because Robyn’s first husband is Christine’s cousin. Im not sure how it would work in a plural marriage but i was very close to my first cousins growing up. So even if Christine isnt close to robyns ex, she might be close with hiss sister, who is very vocal about defending him.
