  • Utter tosh. The Derbyshire tiara looks not dissimilar to the Lotus tiara in the Royal collection. Herself wore the Queen Mary bandeau tiara at her wedding. She did not wear it at any other time. In fact, she has never worn any Royal Tiara at any event. It was suggested at the time of her marriage that the tiara was a replica because of the way it sparkled in the sunshine. You need to do more research before you post such nonsense.

  • Harry’s version of the to-do involving Meghan’s wish to have the tiara sent over for a trial by her hairdresser after the palace had said that was not possible wasn’t the only thing in his story that didn’t add up. In his memoir, he told a completely different story about choosing the tiara. He said his grandmother invited them to Buckingham Palace where they went to her rivate dressing room next to the Queen’s bedroom, a space he said he had never been in before. He said “5 tiaras were laid on the table, and “Granny directed Meg to try on each one before a full-length mirror. I stood behind perusal. One was all emeralds, one was aquamarines, each of them more dazzlingly more stunning than the last.” However, it is known that no tiara with emeralds was offered to Meghan at any time. One was reserved for Eugenie, another could not be worn because of insufficient information about possibly Russian provenance, and the third being the Vladimir tiara with large emerald drops that was only worn by the Queen herself. So for me Harry’s entire narrative is suspect. Meghan had the flowers of all of the Commonwealth nations embroidered onto her veil because the Queen was picturing having Meghan and Harry be the monarchy’s ambassadors to the Commonwealth and Meghan had said she was looking forward to diving right in to work and be ready to hit the ground running. This had a lot to do with why their decision to quit the monarchy and the UK came as such a shock to the Queen, never mind the fact that the Queen was only told something like 20 minutes before they announced it to the world.
