One of the tell-tale signs of benzos being psychoactive in ones system is the slowing of ones speech and annunciation. She’s also delusion like any typical drug addict when she says “I only drank, no drugs” because that’s her addict way of justifying that prescription pills are OK since a doctor prescribes them. Hope this women gets the help she needs soon before she loses her family, friends, and career for good.
No, I don’t think she is drunk here. She is most likely on strong prescription drugs, possibly for conditions like depression, severe anxiety, stress and panic attacks. The medications for these will keep someone on an even keel but can often make you feel light headed, dizzy, disorientated, suffer from poor memory, find it hard to focus or concentrate on anything properly and basically you just feel really out of it. It’s hard to think straight when you’re on medication like this. I speak from experience, as a sufferer of panic attacks, stress and anxiety for years. The medications help you to cope tremendously in some ways but in other ways make you feel very dopey with the memory of a sieve and constantly tired and drained of energy. I feel sorry for Kim. She clearly has a lot of demons that she’s fighting on a daily basis. It gets frustrating when other people don’t understand what you’re going through because they don’t suffer from the same conditions. Her alcoholism is an illness. People call her a liar. That’s something alcoholics are reknowned for doing, especially when they’re in denial during a relapse. They will try to cover up their relapses with excuses. It’s not exclusive to Kim! Each day will be a battle for her to stay sober, I’m sure. She’ll have good days and bad days. She’ll sometimes feel strong and confident that she can stay on the wagon but, when you start to feel low, down, panicky, stressed, lose your confidence and don’t have the will to get out of bed in the morning it can be so easy to hit the bottle again.
I love Kim. She’s a sweet but troubled soul. Being a child star in Hollywood and having to financially support her family as a child for several years has obviously affected her life. Alcoholism is a disease and should never be made a storyline on a reality tv to push up ratings. I hope she gets the help she needs.
When she publicly announces her participation in AA, she is breaking an important tradition of anonymity. The reasons for the tradition are 1. AA members are supposed to have humility. No member represents AA and 2. If a member announces his/her membership and thereafter gets drunk, it has the potential to influence others who need it (“See? So-and-so was in AA and drank, so AA must not work”). When a celebrity does this, it is harmful to sobriety, and simply demonstrates that that person may have been to meetings, but has no commitment to the program., has not paid attention, and is likely to relapse. This woman’s self pity, dishonesty, and excuses are not helpful to her or to anyone else.
Kim if you were just on anxiety medication at the time and recalled two tiny margaritas on the floor you would also remember if you picked them up or even drank them, to everyone saying she looks the same that’s because in her adult life she has always been under the influence of something when she’s been on camera her addiction has been going on for decades way before it was abused as a storyline on RHOBH
I’ve been clean for over 12 years. She is not clean nor honest. She’s justifying everything she’s done, blaming everyone for her behavior, not taking any ownership in anything. She better start getting honest with yourself and learning what the definition of humility is or she’s going to end up dead. I’ve seen it over and over in the rooms if the drugs and alcohol don’t kill you then the lifestyle will. She is so arrogant. She better get a sponsor and start working the program or her family will be burying her.
Omg she is so fucking defensive. Own your shit, that’s a huge part of being sober. She’s not sober. And she is 1000000% using drugs. She blames medications that her doctors give her. TAKE ACCOUNTABILITY FOR YOURSELF. STOP THE LIES. If she was truly sober she would have said the exact number of days, not eh over 30 I think.
It’s so irritating to me when people separate alcoholism and drug use like they aren’t interchangeable. One can justify the other. Like when drug addicts say I was a heroin addict but I never had a problem with alcohol so I drink a little. Not judging. In my opinion addiction is addiction is addiction. Once you use a substance, any substance legal or illegal in a way that you define yourself as an addict, that’s it. You can either choose to get help, get clean completely or justify one substance for another (even if you dont indulge). I just think this is what makes people living with someone with addiction confused and annoyed. The problem is not the substance you use. Its fixing whatever is wrong with you. Whatever is broken to never need a substance to feel better. It’s one day at a time. I’m not a doctor but lived with addicts my whole life and it makes me sad every time I see kim. Her family should be in al anon and she should have never been known to not be working a program and her family just let her continue with the show and not say nothing. Kim always makes everyone else the problem, when it’s always yourself

I drank a whole quart of Cranberry Juice in high school. Later at the mall at closing time, I got a stomach ache. Mom and I made our exit from the building. Then I needed to use the bathroom. So we went back in. Some staff wouldn’t let us use the bathroom saying, “rules are rules. I use it on their floor. Sorry. Rules are rules.
I really feel for kim Richards she has so many demons and they aren’t being spoken to her about, she needs in depth counselling about her issue’s but people in hollywood seem to be doing all they can to make money out of this girl and for her to no doubt but even with lots of money this lady ain’t truly happy and she won’t be till she deals with things properly, take yourself away from everything and everyone you know kim and move away…I did i wasn’t sober for 20yrs and did rehab many times and failed before I finally did it and i moved away and thats what i credit with my sobriety today and i have been sober for 11yrs now….if i can do it anyone can and kim i am so happy and at peace inside myself hunnie, i never thought i would get to this happy place inside myself that i am at right now but I did and I love it, the thing for me looking back is knowing that for the most times i did rehab and failed it was because i did not give myself enough space or time to do it properly and i gave in to soon, if I’d of known it would be this easy and that I would be this happy i would of got sober 19yrs earlier than I did……#truestory
I hope Kim has gotten better.. It’s sad seeing her like this.. I think she has a lot of issues.. her older sister Kathy seems like she was raised okay as with Kyle too.. They seem like they came from a happy home but idk why Kim is like this.. There’s something that happened that made her like this.. You have to feel so sorry for Kim she was a child star supported her family financially no life whatsoever a lot of problems that whenever approached or dealt with all healed so naturally she turned to alcohol and other substances deepdown she’s a lovely person I believe that she has a lot of baggage
People we do not hear the same words from her. She acknowledged that maybe she kicked a police officer, and she owned up that she drank a marguarita at least. And she clearly said that it is a struggle of each day. We not only do not share ears but the eyes neither, she does not look 15 years older to me, she has a pretty face, the only part I can agree is the neck, this is it .
