What do people think of marriage today?

Among adults ages 18 to 34, 20% say marriage is important for a fulfilling life, and 22% say having children is important. Most people also say that having a job or career they enjoy (68%) and having close friends (62%) are important. Young adults have the same views on marriage and children regardless of gender.

Respect each other and find a solution that benefits both of you. Grow together as a couple and keep your love strong.

Couples often make each other angry. Avoid that. Try to make your partner better. Show them you care. Be kind and understanding.

He wasn’t involved in the study. “People are less attached to marriage and have smaller family desires.”
