What Does Bride Groom Meet?

The parents of the bride and groom should be open and flexible as they help the couple to the altar. Wedding planning is a complex process that includes deciding on a venue, guest list, budget, food, music, and décor. Officiants, especially ministers, often don’t have a set fee and rely on gifts or donations. The groom and/or grooms parents are responsible for the officiant’s fee or cash gift.

The groom’s parents typically pay for the engagement party, wedding ceremony, reception, dress, flowers, and ring. The parents of the groom are expected to pay for the marriage license, officiant fee, and accommodations and transportation. The wedding party should enter the ceremony venue in the following order, with men on the right and women on the left when walking down the aisle together.

In some cases, the groom may not look back up the aisle, as it was seen as bad luck if the couple met before the wedding. Arranged marriages involve the bride and groom being selected by individuals other than the couple themselves. The groom or groom will pick the guest list, which typically consists of their best friends or members of their wedding party.

Marriage sites provide the younger generation with comprehensive background information about the prospective bride or groom, unlike in the olden days. It is essential to be flexible and open with the parents of the couple as they bring their spouse-to-be and their family into your life.

Why can’t the groom see the dress?

Today: Most brides still don’t want their grooms to see them all done up before the wedding. Many think it makes the day more exciting. Some couples want to see each other before the ceremony. Wearing something new shows the couple is starting a new life together. “Something borrowed” is a way for the bride’s friends or family to give her a special gift. Finally, “something blue” symbolizes fidelity and constancy. This custom began in ancient Israel, where brides wore blue ribbons in their hair to symbolize their promise to their husbands. The rhyme actually ends with “and a silver sixpence in her shoe.” The story says that putting a penny in the bride’s shoe will bring her good fortune.

Who should see the bride’s dress?

Your mom probably wants to be at your wedding. Your mom is an obvious choice to go wedding dress shopping with you. Or maybe your aunt, who has been important in your upbringing. You’re engaged! Now it’s time to find your dream wedding dress. When you start planning bridal appointments, think about who you want to come with you. Going dress shopping is fun, and you might want to bring everyone on your side of the bridal party. While it sounds great, it’s difficult to make happen and can add stress to your decision-making process. Limit your entourage to three people. This will make your experience better with the most important people by your side. Now that we know how many people to bring, let’s talk about who! Your maid of honor should be there to help you pick your gown. She knows your style best, so her opinion would be helpful. Parents or close family: Your mom has probably been dreaming of your wedding for a while. She’s an obvious choice to go wedding dress shopping with you. Or maybe your aunt, who has been important in your life. Invite your mom’s other half to make her feel included. If you have a sister, she would be perfect to help you pick out your wedding dress! Bridesmaids are the next choice. Your bridal party can make things difficult. You have to deal with different opinions. Make a fun appointment with all your girls when your wedding dress arrives. Reveal it to them! This way, you’ll have fewer opinions when picking out your gown, and everyone will feel included. It’s okay to shop alone. Shopping for your wedding dress is different from shopping for a new outfit. Do what’s easiest for you. Some brides feel guilty about not sharing the experience with friends or family. But you don’t need to! They’ll understand. This is for you. If anyone is bummed they didn’t go shopping with you, you can invite them to your gown pick-up or fitting!

  • Everybody complaining about how she spoke to her bridesmaids; she was clearly nervous as hell and trying to speak as matter of factly and logically as possible so she doesn’t freak out. You can see later as she walks down the aisle that she can’t control her emotions anymore and becomes hella nervous, bless her.

  • Makes a mockery of marriage if they didn’t last long together! I know an Indian couple who married by arrangement, but they were allowed to meet up a couple of times and if they didn’t like each other, they could refuse. Not sure it’s like that for every arranged marriage. The Indian couple are just made for each other – they are fabulous people, so in love!

  • O Merciful God, we beseech Thee ever to remind us that the married state is holy, and that we must keep it so; Grant us Thy grace, that we may continue in faithfulness and love; Increase in us the spirit of mutual understanding and trust, that no quarrel or strife may come between us; Grant us Thy blessings, that we may stand before our fellows and in Thy sight as an ideal family; And finally, by Thy mercy, account us worthy of everlasting life: For Thou art our sanctification, and to Thee we ascribe glory, to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen

  • And the initial looks are important in any relationship!..of course there has to be an attraction there!..it’s called chemistry!..you don’t just marry someone because they have a ‘good soul, but are ugly’ as someone has mentioned here!..you marry the whole package..and how you click with someone, the chemistry then the love comes in time…not just say they have a good ‘soul’..they may have that but your not attractive to them..so you wouldn’t be with them then.. otherwise it won’t last!.

  • It seems they intentionally wanted to do this. Is there any marriage arrangement service like this? I guess they have surveyed each requests from the bride and groom. It’s like match makers but for marriage not dating. I don’t know why people take risks like this though..even in arranged marriage in many Asian countries each bride and groom got to see each other first..and the parents usually know each other..making sure both family background is matched.

  • Shows like this make me not want too watch them anymore because it gets boring after a while. I’m tired of seeing the same old same race couples. Put interracial on here. Not every person dates in there race. By them only matching people that are the same race they are basically saying that this is an accurate betray of the word when it’s not. Interracial exist too. Also add same sex matches too. Not everyone is straight.
