📹 HD * Gossip Girl 5×13 – End of Blair and Louie’s Wedding Party
Gossip Girl // Season 5 // Episode 13 Blair and Louie’s wedding party’s end.
Louise liked her despite seeing everything she is capable of. Blair just liked him because being with him made her a princess. Tbh I don’t think what he did was necessarily evil. Blair deserved it after everything she put him through. She didn’t even have the decency to break up with him when she was confessing to another man AT THEIR WEDDING. I would have done far worse if I were him.
A Grimaldi Princely Wedding will never be held in the USA according to law it must take place in the Roman Catholic Cathedral of Monaco. The weddinggown was not regal at all. The story about the flowers and using great grand mother’s weddingdress has never or ever been done in the House of Grimaldi. All the time they are talking about Royals in this series. But they are a Princely house and therefore not Royal. The only Royals are Princess Caroline and her daughter who both are of the House of Hannover. One by marriage one by birth.
The first time I watched this I hated him now I’m perusal it and realizing that the real villain was Blair the whole time. From the beginning of their relationship her interest in him was solely his title as a prince. She used him through and through I’m every possible way. She used him to become a princess, to stay away from Chuck, and to not have to deal with the mess of she chose to walk away from it. I lost a lot of respect for Blair during this. Literally everyone close to her in her life was telling her to walk away but she wouldn’t and not because she had good intentions, it was completely selfish. But I loved perusal it because it made me realize the right way to handle situations like that which I think are common where you have someone great that has everything you think you want but you don’t truly love them and selfishly want to keep them around until something better comes along or just for the sake of settling.
To be honest, she deserved every word. Louis was genuine with her from day one, but she could never return the favor. I understand she was torn between two guys, but she needed to have that in check before she went to the alter. She was going to marry Louis while she was still in love with Chuck, and that’s not fair to Louis. It was always obvious that Chuck was her true love. She cheated on Louis with him after all. Blair wanted to be a princess. She knew Louis could get her there. It was mostly business to Blair. She just wouldn’t admit it to herself. She did love Louis, but that love couldn’t hold a candle to the love she had for Chuck.
Honestly, Blair had it coming. Louis has been nothing but kind and gracious to her. He was even willing to put throne at risk to be with her, but Blair still can’t make up her mind who she wants to be with. Here’s a guy who gave her his heart and she basically stomped on it( plus she even cheated on him with Chuck so…yeah) If I see a confession that my fiance is still in love with her old love while standing at the alter, I would be pissed too. Honestly Blair and chuck deserved each other. They always have to make things complicated and I get the feeling that they enjoy the drama.
It winds me up so much how people are siding with Blair in this. Louis was the perfect guy; both loyal and loving, and who thought the world of Blair. Blair, however, was only interested in him for the throne, when she knew her true love was Chuck. Everyone just sides with her because she’s Blair and a character favourite. Had the roles been reversed, Louis would be the villain.
Bro this just shows how Blair had the capability of bringing out the worst in ppl so easily… she brought out the worst in chuck after she saw him changing and becoming a better man with Eva… she destroyed his goodness at that point, but bcz he is the love of her life, she quickly sees what she has done, and even unintentionally she does bring out the best in chuck later… but here bro Louis was the only innocent one in the family perhaps, and just when u imagine we never thought Louis saying anything like this after all he had done for her, and now he might not ever be able to trust any woman and just give in to his family’s desires… bcz now he thinks he tried but they were always right… she just basically invented trust issues in him for life… he might forever think that any woman who is with him, is with him for the title “princess”, and he deserved better than someone cheating on him… now I understand why they took Eva out so soon, we might have hated chuck even more if he had done anything to her…. but chair were endgame soooo…
I have no idea why Louis even chose to marry Blair in the first place. He’s royal, handsome, charming, classy, and could have had anyone. Blair was clearly an irresponsible, desperate child that was going to use him for the throne and whose antics would complicate his life in the spotlight. He could and should have done so much better.
The fact that the entire fanbase hated louis for reacting the way he did to this whole disaster never sat right with me. He was always super patient and understanding with all of the messy situations that Blair put herself in (because of her love for ANOTHER man) and even cheated on him and he gets publicly humiliated in front of everyone and is supposed to just accept it? I never got how everyone called him horrid when Blair was awful to him. He shouldn’t have deceived her and married her despite his true feelings but it also kinda makes sense considering that’s a terrible public scenario to be in. Blair as a character was such a mean hearted person but everyone always called her badass and iconic just because she was a bitch. Nah.
hm, if she really loved Louie she would have sat it out. He said “we will be strangers until I say it’s over”.. so he wasn’t totally bailing on her, just angry about the way she treated him. I’m glad that Chair was the endgame, but I totally believe Blair could have worked things out with Louie if she really wanted to..
I dunno; if I were standing at the altar and found out that my spouse-to-be was hankering after an old flame and told someone that they would be in love with flame right before marrying me, I wouldn’t be putting up a front. The spouse-to-be would be feeling my hand on their face and I would jilt them right then and there.
Blair deserved it, how many chances did she expect Louis to give her. He gave her another chance when she ignored him and try to get with the driver think he was part of the royal family. He went against his family and risk the throne for her. She ended up cheating on him with Chuck and embarrassed him in front of his friends and family at his wedding. She expected that Louis will be cool with the fact that Blair admit to loving another man minutes before getting married, even Ross realize that he fucked up and saw Emily had every right to be bitchy at him when he mentions Rachel’s name at his wedding with Emily
I love how they choose the Grimaldi royal family and depicted their family curse of never finding true love or happiness. Blair lost their baby in an accident and then he ended up falling out of love with her and believing what his mom told him that marriage is about joining family dynasties, not love.
I remember perusal this 4 or 3 years ago, and i was young and I thought louis was the bad guy, but now then im 12 almost 13, when i was perusal this 8 months ago, i realized that even though i love blair, she deserved it, because louis loved her and was so kind and generous, and i felt bad for him because she cheated on him and wasnt in love with louis, instead she was in love with chuck, and she did love louis but if she knew that she was not IN love with louis but was IN love with chuck, she shouldve let louis go a long time ago, before things got too far and serious, because now louis is furious and is acting like love is worthless, if she broke up with him before he wouldve understood her. But now she embarrassed him and made him look like a fool with the article saying she loved chuck BUT SHE STILL MARRIED HIM, overall i feel so bad for louis for giving a girl all his love just to end up getting hurt, and thinking that love is not real. I still love blair tho, but I like louis too, he is not a bad person, he is just hurt 🖤
I believe that Louis loved her at first but she couldn’t let go of Chuck. She should have just come to terms with her feelings about Chuck because once she got into the marriage all of the running back to chuck was over. This scene was well deserved and we all know that Blair used Louis for his title anyway hence S4E1
Y does everyone say she deserved this like yes she did cheat on him with chuck but he never knew and plus he never really loved her as dan wrote the vows so tbh hes kinda the bad guy cuz blair didnt rly do anything to hurt him. Yes she humiliated him at the altar but he planned this ages ago when dan wrote those vows
To be honest Blair deserve what happened to her I feel bad for Louise all the shame Blair put on him and also Blair thought she could be the next Grace Kelly well Grace Kelly Audrey Hepburn Bette Davis Marliyn Monroe Elizabeth Taylor Anne BaXter Gregory Peak George Peppard etc we’re toooo good for Blair she could never been any of the Vintage icons of Hollywood
Surprised I’m not in the unpopular opinion…. I LOVE BLAIR. She’s my favorite character BUT she did get what she deserved here. If she still loved Chuck then she had NO REASON to marry Louis. It’s pretty childish that she went through and put her family through all of this wedding fiasco for nothing. Not to mention that Chuck spent millions having to pay off her dowry all so that she can carry the title of “princess” for a brief second. All of this should’ve been avoided. And putting myself in Louis’s position – Blair constantly scheming and unresolved feelings for Chuck & then embarrassing him – he had every right to be mad and react this way. For Blair to make him seem like he was the bad guy was total BS. She herself caused the majority of this mess.
i love blair. shes my favorite character im still in season 5 ep.8 but i really hate how she treats him. shes so annoying, why did she even dated him when shes not over chuck .she cheated and humg out with chuck multiple times. louis deserves better than this. she turned him into a bad person . She ruined him
This must be the only time I’ve seen Blair doing something bad (marrying Louis when she loves another man and she knows it) without owning it. She’s been doing horrible things, but she always knew those were horrible. And now I understand why I didn’t like Jenny and Vanessa, because whenever they did something wrong they somehow managed to play the victim card, “I’m really not like that bla bla”. I like Blair, but I don’t like how she behaved during season 5.
I know everyone says Blair had this coming but Louie should have known something was wrong when she isolated herself after the car accident. Really, no red flags went up? She started avoiding him, Serena, Dorota, etc. You’d think he’d notice her mental health wasn’t great, and she wasn’t in the right mind to get married anytime soon. He could have easily postponed. Instead he talks about sending out a PI, and then buys Blair’s shaky excuses. Shows they didn’t really know each other at all.
Why is everyone in the comments speaking as if Louis was an angel ? Was Blair wrong? Yes Did she get herself in this mess? Definitely Was it her fault she was humiliated? Probably Was Louis a Saint? Hell no. Y’all saw how many things Louis did? He went out of his way to prove she was the old Blair, when at the time she was doing nothing wrong. He messed up a good many times. They should have broken up a long time ago. Also if he has no plan to forgive her, why marry her. It was completely unnecessary.
i love gossip girl and now just rewatching it for my 72747484th time, i realized this is all bad writing. Louis is a good character but ofc it has to be blair and chuck. Dont get me wrong CHAIR forever.. but come on. Dont deny it. we all thought at some point that Louis and Blair could be an endgame.
He had been planning this from the start. This has nothing to do with what Blair did, sure, she cheated…but this is a betrayal that is so horrible and off limits. Imagine standing there hearing those words “and youre going to put on the best damn show anyone ever has”. Ugh, AWFUL! I shipped them so hard but I was SHOCKED at this scene.
This honestly made no sense to me. Louis clearly didn’t want to get married to her and considering his mother had wanted him to be in an arranged marriage prior to the wedding I don’t know why he didn’t take her up on the offer. Yes Blair humiliated him a few times but it was entirely his decision to stay with her and considering her asked Dan to write his vows it’s clear he had this planned for a while. This storyline – as exiting as it was – just didn’t work.
Ugh I hate louis, he was so toxic. More toxic than the rest of the cast combined together. He always knew blair wasn’t interested in him, also as a prince you get trained to reconize people that are after your title or money. But he pursued her anyway just to keep her like a dog. He never trusted her and was always stalking her behind her back instead of just asking where she was and openly communicating. He was always on gossip girl acting paranoia looking for reasons not to trust her or blame her. Also not being honest to her, straight lying and gaslighting her. Hiring detectives, searching her private stuff ect. He even tried to isolate her from her friends and family. And pitting her friends and family against her. He made so many mistakes blair overlooked. One of the biggest ones were the contract. He keept it really underhanded instead of discussing the interesting topics like dowry, divorce and the childrens upbringing and stuff. He purposely hid it to use it in his advantage to overule her and to keep her voice down. Also at the wedding after blair runned away he should have just ended the wedding because that was a clear sign of second thoughts, but he didnt he used it to hold it over her head .
Everyone is saying she deserves it but Louis wasn’t a saint in the relationship like when he paid of chucks therapist to make him a bad person and when he constantly was devious like sending stuff in to gossip girl also Blair was going to break up with Louis on several occasions but Louis always manipulated her out of it so no one deserves this
i love blair so much so i’m sorry but definitely taking her side on this. she really loved louie and chuck but chuck let her go so that she could be with louie so she did but louie’s plan all along was just to get married to her for show. of course he wouldn’t mind her cheating on him because he didn’t even really love her. she chose louie because he made her happy and he did this to her ??? she didn’t deserve this at all. and no, louie didn’t just suddenly become like this because blair was unfair to him, it was his plan all along
louis is more evil than blair. we all know blair cheated on him twice but why didn’t he break up with her right there? because he didn’t want his image to be ruined? NO, because he wanted to humilliate, betray and make her suffer, just so he could tell her this and make her pay a LOT (which would make her go bankrupt). The wedding embarassment wasn’t her fault, it was Georgina’s so stop blaming that on her. Blair was no good, but Louis was just pure evil.
y’all acting as if louie didn’t already fucking know that blair loved chuck i mean he saw so much evidence and chemistry between them yet he still stayed and the whole “blair deserved it” she complicated the whole thing yes but the way that he snapped and turned so angry and vile that’s where abuse comes in..and that’s something that no one deserves no matter the circumstances
anyone saying “Blair deserves it” is mentally ill. first off, if someone uses you, or cheats on you, the last thing you should do it trick them into marrying you. lmfao. that’s just as bad. it was on his own accord that he schemed with his mother and “turned evil”, blair’s actions cannot be held accountable for his decisions. while she was in the wrong for whatever she did, louis was almost indescribably evil for these words, and how his family forced her to do things she never wanted.
